I've noticed several things with these kind of accounts 1) If they have "gfx" in their handle, they're a bot. Never seen an exception to this rule. 2) Those eSports style logos are literally made using an online graphics generator. Like Picrew but for dudebros. That's why they all look the same.
That shit's why I put my watermark all over thing and then mess with the settings so it makes it even harder for these bozos. If you don't like the idea that there's a moon logo all over the image, then you probably should not be using it!

I recount one time a scammer decided to hop on my stream on Twitch some time ago and said my art and stuff doesn't look professional enough since I draw the things I use for streams myself. I didn't say anything after that, I just banned them to the shadow realm.
It's because they aren't using their time to create something, so they have extra time to scam others. I'm convinced any creatives that "blow up" online either are really REALLY talented, or are only talented at marketing. (and I say creatives because this includes all kinds of creative works)

thanks for this , i started working with a vtuber maker back in august and things were going great . being an artist i was able to provide proper ref sheets and the whole bit. great person started having all sorts of health issues so i was okay slowing down the pace of things . no issues with the rigger i hired. thing was i posted very clearly that i was trying to support fellow canadians during the fire outbreak last year and until i found her there was nothing but bot accounts trying dm me on non twitter accounts saying they could do it for really cheap . the few that werent bots would always try to talk me out of my rule about wanting to support canadians and a few even tried to say they were but had contradicting info on other posts. it really made me hestiant to go with the person i ended up with because it left such a sour taste in my mouth. i have no intent on really being a formal vtuber cause i have no idea how one does that, but i draw alot on stream and i figured maybe having a model would make it easier for people to engage with me a bit seeing as its not uncommon for me to just zone out while streaming. again thanks for this its gonna help a lot of people
I got a random dm on discord asking me to commission them, one thing led to another and I found about the huge rabbit hole of fake artists on twitter. I mostly make VRchat avatars for commissions so I tend to focus more on 3D models over Vtubers, but man, so many of these scammers are out there trying to take hundreds or thousands of dollars from people with nothing to show for it. It makes me mad cause these people are so quick to jump into people's comments, so real artists are harder to find. Clients might not know what to look out for, so it's good to spread awareness of this.
I find that kat has good ethics and unlike a lot of "dramatubers", she doesn't milk content and isn't overly dramatic or sensational and she's really informative as well.
Wanna hear a fun fact about Ardallox? The vtuber who commissioned this scammer? Let’s just say he has 2k followers on his twitch but has 1-2 ccv since he started in Feb 2024. He obviously follow botted his account. He still haven’t figured out that Christine scammed him.

I commission a bunch of art of my fursonas and post that art to Twitter. Without a doubt, any time I make a new art post I'll get a random follow and message request either saying "hi," "omg I love your PFP, who is this character," or "omg I'm an artist, want me to draw for you." Invariably, their profiles all look like the ones you highlighted. It's tiring. Don't hesitate to just block them on sight. If you get similar messages on Discord, report them to any shared servers. It's so tiring.

A lot of artists here seemed to be concerned by the gargantuan amount of engagement those scammers have. Rest assured, those AI prompters rely on another type of AI, Actually Indians, working on click farms to stimulate the algo. It's not your fault, it's the platform's fault for allowing such thing to happen.
Same type of scam artists try to chat me up sell me art on twitch any time I stream elden ring. One of the first quests they ask is, "What game is this?"

ToT The thing is that these type of people go reach out directly to someone instead of "publicizing" themselfes on servers with a card show casing their works and all, yk It's really funny how blatant some of these scam accounts are though

I almost fell for one of these. Someone HMU claiming to be a 3D artist and graphic designer and offered to make me a fully rigged 3D model for USD$300. They even said my icon and character design is bad, but won't tell me how they plan to rig the model to make it emote. All the art and video proof they posted are all low quality and very clearly not made by them. 😭😭😭 I would've actually fallen for it if not for the fact that they insulted my art.
since I started my desk setup account, i get so many spam of accounts like this. they all use the same images and none of them are in the same art style at all. they all have the same format of messaging you to make themselves seem like and less botty. it so annoying.

Lowkey I'm having SO much trouble with bots on my twitter. Every last follower I have is a freaking bot!! And not the good kind lol I've blocked so many but they just keep coming. Any advice on that? I'll have to say this is NOT the first account of this kind. There are TONS of these fake "artist" accounts, you can find them extremely easy by simply making a tweet looking for a type of commission and they'll comment - personal expierence. Their biggest red flags (they tend to have all of them,, if you do this as a real artist you probably don't have all) the very outgoing bio "Hi I'm a (list of different kinds of art)" usually anime focused, and the bio full with tags artstyle inconsistency, as shown in this video posting comms and referring to people as their clients without tagging them reposting people advertising them NO links in bio to a portfolio or caard or linktree etc despite sounding professional / claiming to be usually a new account They also will DM you to commission THEM. The first 3 instances I had of this was all different so I can't warn for a specific message. The first two times was about VTubers and were asking me what I was looking for despite my tweet literally saying what I was looking for. The second person immeditately went into saying they were going to draw it and I shut it down cause I knew it was going to be a scam since no payment was made, along with the fact I hadn't even provided a character ref, just the basic info (2d, anime, furry, etc). and the third time someone asked if I was okay with receiving fanart, I said yes and they then asked if it was okay for me to pay. I think the more common opening message is sending an image of your OC you post and asking "is this your character" I've run into thousands of these and I'm sure each time the art is traced or stolen
Ok, that might sound like a conspiracy theory but hear me out : what if the Graphics Knight person made all these fake accounts blatantly using art with their watermark on it so that people think all these accounts are stealing from them and make them feel a false sense of security when they finally find the person the other accounts "stole from" ? Like to try to get them to not second-guess them because "they have been stolen from so it has to be legit" or something...
You know which is one of the worst outputs when peoples do stuff like that? That people like me, real artist that are at the beginning of their journey and don't have a portfolio or not a big one, get the "sus" look 😮💨 It's hard, we have to battle between AI, boot profile, scammer, people complaining for you price, shitty algorithms and more... 😮💨

I've found myself in position of moderating some discords for streamers that range anywhere from 20-300 viewers. Everyday without fail, we have similar people come into the disc who will mass spam solicit DM people asking for commissions and they post a bunch of stolen, traced, or take freebie graphics and slap a gigantic price on it. And Unfortunately, it works. The amount of new streamers or content creators I come in contact with that fall for it or see that pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for copied, traced, or scammed freebie layouts is astounding and it's no wonder it's become so big. Or stolen rigs / models for vtubers. Even 3D ones.

We were all new to the fake bots and such that came with the vtubing space. I didn’t think of checking her other art my friends commissioned and so did I. After the scam happened I just didn’t want to communicate with her accepted the loss of 50 bucks and blocked her😂

To be fair, with a really proficient artist that specializes on marketing etc art, you *could* expect them to match multiple varied styles like that... HOWEVER they would still actually have proper sites and freelance rates (if they even had openings) and not use pre-made assets directly. The alledged skill vs professionalism levels are very skewed here, which is a big red flag.
When I made a post saying I was open for commissions for twitch banners etc, I got literally DOZENS of bots dming me like "I CAN DO ART FOR YOU?!" simply because the bot saw the word art in my post. Twitter is a cesspool of shittery and ill never go back.

I usually blocked most of them but this one account messaged me saying that they love my character and asked me if they could draw them. I said "sure! just make sure you mention me and keep it SFW" and they tried to charge me $100...i blocked them after that and closed my dm on twitter
I’m surprised that bot used a gif from Kanade from Beast Tamer! That really makes me mad because I’m a pretty big fan of Beast Tamer and the fact they are misusing a great character’s likeness like that is unacceptable! They also used Miku as well as Marin Kitagawa and mind you, these are popular characters (aside from Kanade to an extent) which makes it even WORSE! And in case you didn’t know, when Kat was explaining that the account was using gifs of Chibi Fox girls, the first one she pointed her mouse to the first one at 8:41, that’s Kanade the cat spirit from Beast Tamer which I get is confusing because of the ears but still it’s frustrating! (Not when Kat said that Kanade was a Fox, the fact they used the gif in their profile) And sorry for correcting Kat a lot, I have nothing against her but I’m the type of person to feel so passionate about things that I try my best to make sure to help make corrections that might help for accuracy.

i get they scam but as an artist thats been at this for decade i can mimic any art style i see and have the ability to adapt and learn that is a skillset but saying saying an artist cant have many varities is weak.i can do murata to toriyama to realistic or that spiderverse style art i have no set style

thing was i posted very clearly that i was trying to support fellow canadians during the fire outbreak last year and until i found her there was nothing but bot accounts trying dm me on non twitter accounts saying they could do it for really cheap . the few that werent bots would always try to talk me out of my rule about wanting to support canadians and a few even tried to say they were but had contradicting info on other posts.
it really made me hestiant to go with the person i ended up with because it left such a sour taste in my mouth.
i have no intent on really being a formal vtuber cause i have no idea how one does that, but i draw alot on stream and i figured maybe having a model would make it easier for people to engage with me a bit seeing as its not uncommon for me to just zone out while streaming.

I got a random dm on discord asking me to commission them, one thing led to another and I found about the huge rabbit hole of fake artists on twitter. I mostly make VRchat avatars for commissions so I tend to focus more on 3D models over Vtubers, but man, so many of these scammers are out there trying to take hundreds or thousands of dollars from people with nothing to show for it. It makes me mad cause these people are so quick to jump into people's comments, so real artists are harder to find. Clients might not know what to look out for, so it's good to spread awareness of this.

I commission a bunch of art of my fursonas and post that art to Twitter. Without a doubt, any time I make a new art post I'll get a random follow and message request either saying "hi," "omg I love your PFP, who is this character," or "omg I'm an artist, want me to draw for you." Invariably, their profiles all look like the ones you highlighted. It's tiring.
Don't hesitate to just block them on sight. If you get similar messages on Discord, report them to any shared servers. It's so tiring.

We were told to make fake social media accounts based on the jobs we wanted, (I was a bit lazy so I used images off of Google with similar aesthetics, (did want to be a freelance artist and still do)) and we weren't necessarily told to not specify that our accounts were fake. (I did it tho-)

A lot of artists here seemed to be concerned by the gargantuan amount of engagement those scammers have. Rest assured, those AI prompters rely on another type of AI, Actually Indians, working on click farms to stimulate the algo. It's not your fault, it's the platform's fault for allowing such thing to happen.
Same type of scam artists try to chat me up sell me art on twitch any time I stream elden ring. One of the first quests they ask is, "What game is this?"
I actually got several scams in dms (on discord) of people pretending to be artists, they would have something in their bio along the lines of "Professional designer, 3d artist, 2d artist, animator," etc etc but they would guilt trip people into making them get commissioned, the way they talk was also kinda chat gpt-ish and fishy, one even told me they needed money for an operation to their dog??? ToT
The thing is that these type of people go reach out directly to someone instead of "publicizing" themselfes on servers with a card show casing their works and all, yk

I almost fell for one of these. Someone HMU claiming to be a 3D artist and graphic designer and offered to make me a fully rigged 3D model for USD$300. They even said my icon and character design is bad, but won't tell me how they plan to rig the model to make it emote. All the art and video proof they posted are all low quality and very clearly not made by them. 😭😭😭

since I started my desk setup account, i get so many spam of accounts like this. they all use the same images and none of them are in the same art style at all. they all have the same format of messaging you to make themselves seem like and less botty. it so annoying.

Lowkey I'm having SO much trouble with bots on my twitter. Every last follower I have is a freaking bot!! And not the good kind lol I've blocked so many but they just keep coming. Any advice on that? I have never and will never buy followers, I'm not worried about numbers or anything I'm just super annoyed with all the freaking bots that follow me. One day I had 10 of them all follow me at once. I'm kinda done with that. It's like twitter is trying to destroy artists chances of engagement

I'll have to say this is NOT the first account of this kind. There are TONS of these fake "artist" accounts, you can find them extremely easy by simply making a tweet looking for a type of commission and they'll comment - personal expierence.
Their biggest red flags (they tend to have all of them,, if you do this as a real artist you probably don't have all)
the very outgoing bio "Hi I'm a (list of different kinds of art)" usually anime focused, and the bio full with tags
artstyle inconsistency, as shown in this video
posting comms and referring to people as their clients without tagging them
reposting people advertising them
NO links in bio to a portfolio or caard or linktree etc despite sounding professional / claiming to be
usually a new account
They also will DM you to commission THEM. The first 3 instances I had of this was all different so I can't warn for a specific message. The first two times was about VTubers and were asking me what I was looking for despite my tweet literally saying what I was looking for. The second person immeditately went into saying they were going to draw it and I shut it down cause I knew it was going to be a scam since no payment was made, along with the fact I hadn't even provided a character ref, just the basic info (2d, anime, furry, etc). and the third time someone asked if I was okay with receiving fanart, I said yes and they then asked if it was okay for me to pay.
I think the more common opening message is sending an image of your OC you post and asking "is this your character"
I've run into thousands of these and I'm sure each time the art is traced or stolen
Ok, that might sound like a conspiracy theory but hear me out : what if the Graphics Knight person made all these fake accounts blatantly using art with their watermark on it so that people think all these accounts are stealing from them and make them feel a false sense of security when they finally find the person the other accounts "stole from" ? Like to try to get them to not second-guess them because "they have been stolen from so it has to be legit" or something...

You know which is one of the worst outputs when peoples do stuff like that? That people like me, real artist that are at the beginning of their journey and don't have a portfolio or not a big one, get the "sus" look 😮💨 It's hard, we have to battle between AI, boot profile, scammer, people complaining for you price, shitty algorithms and more... 😮💨

So I'm almost positive that the Christine account is also the Kate Benson account. Both are using graduated vtubers, both hyper retweet each other, and "Kate" was one who has stolen my friend's vtuber art and rig claiming that it was a project they did for a client. Pfft.
A thing that keeps reappearing with all of the bot accounts were made in the year of 2023, and the Graphics Knight is made in 2022 not a coincidence at all.
Its sad cause i wonder how many people have actually commissioned them for "their" art but its not even theirs. So many artists are struggling with commissions already especially if you dont have a big following so to steal from them is judt extra wrong
these scam rings always show up in discord, the one i see often is watermarked by FourSol, but they tend not to be as talkative/active as this one is.

I've found myself in position of moderating some discords for streamers that range anywhere from 20-300 viewers. Everyday without fail, we have similar people come into the disc who will mass spam solicit DM people asking for commissions and they post a bunch of stolen, traced, or take freebie graphics and slap a gigantic price on it. And Unfortunately, it works. The amount of new streamers or content creators I come in contact with that fall for it or see that pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for copied, traced, or scammed freebie layouts is astounding and it's no wonder it's become so big. Or stolen rigs / models for vtubers. Even 3D ones.

Ummmm so im surprised by this but hi im plat the person she did the banner for. So she actually wound up scamming one of my vtuber friends in trying to make a model for her. We were all new to the fake bots and such that came with the vtubing space. I didn’t think of checking her other art my friends commissioned and so did I. After the scam happened I just didn’t want to communicate with her accepted the loss of 50 bucks and blocked her😂

To be fair, with a really proficient artist that specializes on marketing etc art, you *could* expect them to match multiple varied styles like that... HOWEVER they would still actually have proper sites and freelance rates (if they even had openings) and not use pre-made assets directly.
The alledged skill vs professionalism levels are very skewed here, which is a big red flag.

I personally had been spammed with these accounts on twitter after I showed off the twitter/youtube/discord pfp that i paid an artist to make. I usually blocked most of them but this one account messaged me saying that they love my character and asked me if they could draw them. I said "sure! just make sure you mention me and keep it SFW" and they tried to charge me $100...i blocked them after that and closed my dm on twitter

I’m surprised that bot used a gif from Kanade from Beast Tamer! That really makes me mad because I’m a pretty big fan of Beast Tamer and the fact they are misusing a great character’s likeness like that is unacceptable! They also used Miku as well as Marin Kitagawa and mind you, these are popular characters (aside from Kanade to an extent) which makes it even WORSE! And in case you didn’t know, when Kat was explaining that the account was using gifs of Chibi Fox girls, the first one she pointed her mouse to the first one at 8:41, that’s Kanade the cat spirit from Beast Tamer which I get is confusing because of the ears but still it’s frustrating! (Not when Kat said that Kanade was a Fox, the fact they used the gif in their profile) And sorry for correcting Kat a lot, I have nothing against her but I’m the type of person to feel so passionate about things that I try my best to make sure to help make corrections that might help for accuracy.
Its likely that graphics knight is paying someone or a group of people to get people who want to commission something and then send them over to graphics knight

i get they scam but as an artist thats been at this for decade i can mimic any art style i see and have the ability to adapt and learn that is a skillset but saying saying an artist cant have many varities is weak.i can do murata to toriyama to realistic or that spiderverse style art i have no set style

Artists generally don't show their references, and when they do, they show next to the artwork they've made.
these type of accounts will also dm you with super broken grammar trying to offer their “art services” at a discount too. i made an X account to try and promo my twitch since i want to start streaming for fun and since within two days of making my account i’ve had three bot accounts dm me and a bunch start following me… i mentioned the word “vtuber” once in my only post saying it would be cool to save up for one eventually and the bot follows came like rushing in😭 now i’m scared to open the website again
forgot to say too; I replied to the dms said no to the bots because i didn’t realize the first dms were from bots, and then they got kinda pushy saying they have discounts or whatever and i said kept no again. i think the bot leaves you alone in dms once they got the clue i wouldn’t end falling for their guilt trip stories.
