Yep, throw a jump box on it or a bigger full sized car battery that's fully charged and it'll probably spin faster and start. Might want to check out the plugs and see if they are gas fouled and wet. Good luck with it, seems like a sweet bike.
That's a good idea as well. Floats and things can stick or fill with gas and sink, totally flooding the engine. I had a 71 v8 Scamp I put a 9800 Thermo Quad on complete with brass floats. It sat forever and finally got it running well enough to drive to our new house and it ran fine. It sat again for a few months and it started flooding out and dying whenever I tried to start it. One float had sprung a leak and filled with gas holding the needle and seat on that side open. It actually hydro locked the engine as my buyer showed up to buy it. Luckily the fuel slowly drained out of the pistons and it ran fine with a spare carb he had later when he got it home. All kinds of things can mess with a carbed engine that are mostly mechanical issues.
I saw some things on there i would want to put on my 86 Venture Royale that runs very good. Working on redoing a 83 Venture adding the trunk and saddel bags from a 90.
Ya. YA need A Battery. Jumping Wont Do it. SHE ain't Spinning fast enough..Nice 80s Cruiser. They are Going up in Price. I just picked up a 86 ltd454.mint.... Check All vacuum lines on Your bike
Be interesting to know if this gets saved, definitely worth it even though it sounds like it's down on one cylinder... Wonder if the valves were ever adjusted...
Good evening, excuse me, could you help me, I have a Yamaha venture royal 1300 1990 model and I do not know what type of engine oil it carries, and also what fork seals does I think are 40x52x8 ???? thank you very much for your help
The choke lever is in the wrong position. Who would do that to a perfectly fine motorcycle ? stop cranking it and at the minimum blow out the airbox.Disgusting
… We in Germany would first remove all these nuts with a vacuum cleaner, clean the spark plugs and use starter spray. … 5 minutes of pointless time wasted on nonsense!
Good Lord.... that starter is taking a beating! And keeps on going! 🎃🎃🎃
Good ol yamaha
Next it's going to need a starter.

rap the carbs a few times to loosen up the floats or needle and seats

Oh the joys and sounds of trying to start a bike lol😆👍...
Going through V4 carbs can be quite challenging. The touring bike with the heart of a V Max.

Right at the end it sounded like a laugh-box I had once, when the batteries would go dead it sounded like a fading joker. :)

SEAFOAM IT!! She'll run like a scalded cat!
Is that a not-pulled-out manual choke button I see to the left of the ignition switch? It's gonna need that ...
Sounds like my old moped when it was under 40f out side, RIP DeathTrap.
Starting fluid please!
Poor starter and wires
If it starting its got a problem. Dont burn the starter. Durnn
If it fails to start just keep cranking on it !
