I just bought a 87 xvz 1300 Venture Trike with 95,000 miles on the clock. I'm an old Harley guy that can't hold up a two wheeler anymore and I thought my riding life was over until I found this old girl. Now I'm back in the wind and continuing my 45 years of riding. Love this old Yam!
I had a 1983 Venture as well. I like the pop off bags and tour trunk on the old ones much more than the later models. I am always keeping my eyes out for a good 1985 model. The last year for the pop off bags.
I bought a old venture royale 1985 1300 back in January and had a completely overhaul done on it it was sitting for 4years and I'm looking forward to taking it out I'm going to pick it up Saturday September 10 2022 just had a fresh paint job I'm gonna try to figure out to do a RUclips video so stay tuned
I did a video on my 1978 Z1000 . It is one of my first videos. Check it out. It was a complete rebuild. Gorgeous bike.It is in my play list some where. Thx for watching.
Yeh it finally warmed up for one day. Today raining and cool again and next week cold again. It was about 20 Celsius, but those ventures block the wind pretty good. thx for watching.
It's been about 8 degrees C today, looking forward to see the Norton on the road soon, are you just waiting for Peter to paint the tank and side panels?
I need the tank finished but we need to find the metallic green paint code. I have to drive to London and get the ``House Of Kolours`` match for it and some paint mixed up. I am going to start on the wiring this week as well.
Thanks Johnny, I checked out that web site. They only have 2 of the Metal flake colors in their charts. No Emerald metal flake green. It`s very rare, I have only found a couple bike pics on Google image search with that color. House of Kolours says they can match it.

They are a great old bike, very well built engine. Most problems will be carb related.

Just found an old Venture that year I might buy. Yours looks a lot nicer though. Love the sound of those things.
