That first cop with the states attorney knew he got caught on an illegal stop. Then was so ignorant of the law he said “we run tags all the time”. His stuttering was awesome!! 😂

Excuse me if I'm wrong or if this law varies state to state, but I thought cops were allowed to run whoever's license plates.

The whole "we got a call" is getting to be ridiculous. When they say "Here's the deal" then you know they have no idea what they are talking about and are lying to go fishing for whatever they can.

That lady with the warrant was so smug and thought she knew more about the law then the attorney.

The cop with the insurance adjuster has definitely been trained to talk in circles and lie.

17:37 "I have no reasonable suspicion to believe he's not committing a crime because he has a ladder..."
18:06 I can follow him out of town (until I can fabricate a traffic violation).
19:29 Using his 4th amendment right is obstructing an officer.
22:08 We are investigating that you may have committed a crime, trespassing on a public street.
22:54 The Blanchard police department stands by the officer's (ignorant and unlawful) actions.
23:04 The District Attorneys' office declined to pursue charges (against the cops) citing insufficient proof because video proof is insufficient proof.
The American police should stop using the word, "justice" because justice doesn't exist when a cop is involved.

So in the end what we learned is that even when the officer is blatantly immoral in their decision to badger the innocent the DA and internal affairs will still cover their asses.

I don't know what automated program you guys use for your subtitles, but you need to get a refund if you paid actual money for it.
If you've got a _person_ putting out such gibberish, well... People come with refunds far less frequently.

Actually, there was a reason for the initial stop in the first clip. First off, the police do not need a reason to run a license plate. Your plates do not belong to you, they belong to the issuing authority and are in public view. What matters is what the cop does with the information once it comes back. It the state has no information on the plate, the cop has a valid reason to stop the vehicle
In the second clip the female investigator, the police sergeant, and the assistant D.A who ordered the investigator to arrest the two lawyers were all sued and lost their qualified immunity. When their lawyers tried to point out that there was no prior case law on point and it meant that qualified immunity was still intact, the judge simply said that the prior case law was the 4th Amendment to the Constitution. The 4th Amendment is clear. A warrant must be specific and describe what is to be searched and what is to be seized. They are not transferable.
