    You genuinely make picking look so easy. I guess that's what comes from YEARS of practice and experience. Badass

    Top notch picking hombre. It’s crazy you have less than 1k subscribers…doubt it will stay that way with such thorough reviews as this. 🔓

      Thanks, I get the lack of subs, hi-sec is very niche and I just started doing reviews and stuff just recently. I plan on doing more gear reviews and tutorials on locks people commonly have problems with.

    • @stanmarsh2499
      @stanmarsh2499 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@georgiajim2260 tutorials would be an excellent addition. Consumer culture probably means reviews will get you more subs but the locksport community could use another teaching patriarch now that Bill isn’t posting vids anymore. LPL used to post tutorial vids but his 3 minute vids are now geared toward the short attention span of the masses.

      I mixed the stuff from the arbiter into the echelon for the stuff I’m most likely to use and will be tossing it in my laptop bag. I got the same bypass stuff coming for the slim pickings handles to build a vehicle kit

    I've combined this with my Genesis set, and it really does feel like the ultimate package for picking pin tumbler locks--the only thing I'm missing now is the skills to unleash the tools' full potential!
    I do wonder if I could eventually learn to pull off some zipping shenanigans with the double peak rake...

    • @georgiajim2260
      @georgiajim2260  11 месяцев назад +1

      I don’t have the genesis so just added the riv to the echelon set.
      You have the tools time to practice. There are no advanced techniques just well polished fundamentals.

    Nice detailed review. Thanks.
    I wished they made some of those picks available for individual purchase to either round out a set or replace one if damaged.

    Really nice video.I purchsed this et last week.For me I found the handles to small over so I sent them.

    • @georgiajim2260
      @georgiajim2260  9 месяцев назад

      I was mainly using Peterson and Jimy long picks with much larger handles before using this set and definitely understand that.
      Took me a little while to get used to the smaller handles. For edc gear I prefer the smaller handles so I can have more kit in the case but for casual and longer picking sessions the larger handles are far more comfortable.

    I made handles for mine and now I use it more than my Sparrows which i only use for the unique profiles. The tension set is top notch. It's tuff choosing between these and the Jimy Longs. I love them both.

    Great review. I wish they sold thier picks individually. I think the $70 price tag is a bit hefty. I mean its not over priced but i think its borderline. I would definitely be really hesitant to buy another set if I happened to bend or break one of the picks or rakes.

    • @georgiajim2260
      @georgiajim2260  11 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely agree. Individual picks are a must for any company that wants to do right by their customers. $70 is on the high end imo also but with the amount of tok tensioners added and tubular stuff added in i thinks it’s a versatile kit. Definitely not for guys chasing belts (which is could work) but most pure locksport pickers want more hook variety.

    • @truckinglock
      @truckinglock 11 месяцев назад +1

      @georgiajim2260 I see that. Also CI isn't geared toward the Locksport side as much either. They are geared toward EDC, First responder non destructive quick entry, and covert entry. I like their products, though.

    Vom Slimpick und vom Companion bin ich nicht so begeistert zu dick für die meisten Schlösser in Europa und die Niete beim Riv ist qualtitaiv auch kein Statement.. die Idee hat mich damals begeistert darum habe ich es bestellt, vielleicht kommt mal einens für denn Europäischen Markt raus was bei uns passt.
    Es Echelon werde ich mal testen wenn wieder ein Sale ist.
    I'm not that keen on the Slimpick and the Companion. They're too thick for most locks in Europe and the rivet on the Riv isn't a qualitative statement either. The idea excited me at the time, so I ordered it and tried to use it as often as possible, but the picks are too thick and don't fit into many locks here. Maybe one will come out for the European market that suits us.
    I'll test Echelon when there's another sale. But it's too expensive for me

    • @georgiajim2260
      @georgiajim2260  11 месяцев назад

      That’s a fair assessment as far as the thickness impacting the ability to pick. For European customers there are cheaper options like multipick, moki and lawlock too.
