That was hands down one of the best table top reviews I’ve watched! And one of the best table top reviews I’ve seen on this chest rig set up! I am un doubtably getting this set up perhaps with two water bottles attachments. Because water is most important to me for what I will be using this chest rig for!
Very cool! You also still have one column of molle to run a single pistol mag pouch or a multitool pouch. One other neat thing about choosing a stainless steel Nalgene is that you can cook with it and use it to boil/purify water. Nice setup!
This video may be a little old so you may not see this, but when you velcro it on, put the top straps through the little loops on the thing two so it supports it better
Dude, great video and very analytical! Working on the same exact setup at the moment. Still lacking the straps, nalgene pouch (might have to go w/ the Ranger green to see how it looks) and small GP. Currently they’re out of stock on M81 small GPs, BUMMER!! Still awesome seeing this set up completed though, cheers from WV brother! 🤙🏼
Solid video for sure. I just watched a video of some cat who was talking all kinds of shit about the thing 2 idk if he was just struggling on understanding how to use it, but this makes about 1000 times more sense.
A second mag insert where? Like the front row in replacement with the flaps? I’m kind of upset, I don’t want to run a double mag on the thing 2 pouches but the one mag looks like it bounces around a little too much for me and 6 in the chassis might be too wide for me
I like the thing2, but I feel like when the rig gets this wide you're giving up the ability to swing your arms and wear it with a rucksack. Any experience with this?
@@babysardines101 if you want sturdiness the thing 2 has that fiber webbing which is very rigid. The ferro rig will be a lighter weight lower profile option. If you need the modularity of having additional pouches, the spiritus setup is the way. Also check out Haley Strategics micro rig.
How easily can you put mags back into the built in radio pouch? I saw someone else saying that the cutouts on the side make it a pain cause they keep sliding out
I won't lie, I ran this during a rifle class and it wasn't easy. Once you have one in, it's a little hard to get the 2nd in but as far as retention gravity does much of the work. With 2 in, you won't have issues
Well, this is for range use. I can stuff it with things like spare ammo, multitools, spare batteries, gloves, removable weapon accessories/furniture/parts, flashlight, first aid and trauma care, spare ear pro, sight adjustment tools, marker, knife, tape, binoculars/spotting scope... Really anything I might need at the range (I don't wear this on indoor range days) .

i have a metal nalgene as well, was looking everywhere to see if the spiritus pouch would fit, thanks for posting...
Heck yeah my man! Rig looks great. Just ordered the mk4, will expand with the thing 2 down the line. Probably half flap when 81 gets back in stock.
That mk4 is so versatile. Great video. Got me through a butt load of dishes.
For sure. Can place your Dawn dish soap in the Nalgene pocket...
@@Knight_of_the_Old_Code lol hell yeah
Wow this is the best video I’ve seen of the thing 2

This channel should be way bigger. Subbed.
Great overview video man.
I'd recommend putting medical in that front pouch for use as a "just in case" type deal.
Something that I haven’t seen anyone mention is that you can run a second mag insert and in theory run 8 mags on a small and light weight chest rig

@@Jacob-wh8nh yes instead of running it as an admin pouch you just stick a second mag insert
@@jesseesparza4974 dope thanks I just bought one

Nice video man. Just picked one of these up. Appreciate the tips
Where’d you get that wahoo? I live and born and raised in the Cleveland area.
Superior Defense, limited run. I'm sure there will be more
Would you reccommend a Thing 2 and the Spiritus harness or a chest rig system like the Ferro wide chest rig for high speed airsoft
Which one would aslo have more sturdiness and less wobble aswell?

Hey, what’s this baofeng antenna ? Thanks.
It's an Abreee foldable, they can be found on Amazon!
