I agree his record is not stellar but he did well. However he does have excellent breeding. Historically, it has not been unusual for a "good, moderately successful" colt to do well at stud. This in fact has been more the norm until relatively recently. Now focus is on the big names only. While everyone wants Triple Crown, Breeder's Cup, multi grade 1 winners assuming those colts will allways be good studs is a fallacy. Look at how many have been sold abroad over the last few years to less than positive places after being unsuccessful in the barn. Standing this colt is in line with what good breeders have done forever, taking a chance and seeing potential. Flightline, Archangelo, and Equinox all have to prove themselves in the shed.
All the luck to Walmac!❤🏇
Best to you and to the stallions
Sure beats $300k for Tapit
Pappacap’s race record was as good as it gets? LOL
