Jed Hawkins she picked the worst way to go about it. Her plan did nothing but terrorize one town. She could have broken out the other water benders and taught them the technique, she could have killed all of the fire nation soldiers the night she broke out, she could have moved to city where fire nation soldiers were trained and killed them one by one. What she did came out of a sheer desire to see other people suffer.

She never had Iroh or her mother to continue to push her towards the light. They loved her very much but she could never see that. She is a victim like Zuko.
Isa Moe yeah but I think her decision to forget her children was kind of selfish. If she had the presence of mind to know when Zuko was banished she could have went to find him, or reunited with her children while they were chasing Aang around the Earth Kingdom, or came back to the fire nation after Zuko became Fire Lord. This woman killed her father in law, I would have loved to see her reaction to Ozai after he gave Zuko that scar. I definitely sympathize, but lost a lot of respect for her when I found out about that.

Patrick Nicholson Katara became a bending master and almost beat master Pakku with her limited water bending skills. We’ve never seen OZAI and azula fight but there’s a chance azula May beat him, she’s a prodigy. Toph was at a young age and was blind and was able to have that much strength.

Just finished Avatar last night while binging, and I fell in love with the characters like Suki, the kyoshi Warriors, and of course, Azula. She may be sadistic for the majority of season 3, but beautiful at the same time.
Of course toph was gonna be number 1 on this list. “I’m the greatest earth bender in the world!!!!” That quote screams her right there. And what was cool about her is that she was still kicking ass long after the rest of aangs team avatar.

But Ursa also didn't hesitate to save her child, her life was more tragic as far as we know and Ursa never actually got the spotlight on the show, but she did have a role in the comics.

Azula is my number two only cuz bending wise Toph has developed her bending to levels no one but animals (badgermoles) have and then developed and almost impossible sub bending and even then in Ba Sing Se Toph couldn't neutralize her. Azula is just fantastic.

Just finished Avatar last night while binging, and I fell in love with the characters like Suki, the kyoshi Warriors, and of course, Azula. She may be sadistic for the majority of season 3, but beautiful at the same time.
Of course toph was gonna be number 1 on this list. “I’m the greatest earth bender in the world!!!!” That quote screams her right there. And what was cool about her is that she was still kicking ass long after the rest of aangs team avatar.
