Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens! - Хобби

I had that at age 26 i new nothing and ended my marriage, went through so much verbal abuse for 3 mths the hate was raw who was i. I am 70 now and i am so happy for you to have internet to reserch and we talk about mental problems now education is key. Bless you
You survived and I hope you met a much breed of person.
You are strong and I believe a very kind person.🙏🏻💕🇮🇪
You two were my first 'bloggers' I encountered, remembered you all cleaning the dusty Barn, the renovation processes, etc, .now the property will soon be for sale, I am proud of all your accomplishments, plus I get to see foreign places without travelling, thanks to the world wide web. I can experience life in Italy, France, England, Wales, Australia, whilst on my phone, which is so exciting for a 62 year old. Thank you for this new, exciting opportunity to experience this new phenomenon.
Whoever buys that property will be fortunate to benefit from all your great work. I remember the video of you clearing out all of the muck when you started the renovation!!! Bea it is so good to see your happy smile again!!
Eating 4-6 dates a day has helped me. I am in menopause, so I sometimes have the joint pain. Keeping moving is also part of my fight against the joint pain. I feel it at night, and if I sit for too long, but staying mobile through the day has helped so much.
You two are amazing! The new owners will greatly benefit from your excellent work. You put so much effort into research and doing the right thing the right way. It is so nice to see you working together.
It does my heart good to see you in an upbeat mood, smiling and making jokes, Bea. It’s so good to see you happy again I could cry with happiness myself.
I absolutely adore you for speaking openly about menopause. I have rallied women for years to prep for it - not easily done as it is chalk-full of wildcards ;) But having open discourse is always helpful and de-stigmatising and I appreciate you deeply for furthering this!! As always, you both lead the way with a natural and real approach to life. I know it is not always as easy and joyous as you each seem on camera, but you are always real about life's ups and downs. I've followed The Indie Projects for years and just like the lands you have traversed and tended, your growth is beautiful. Thank you
Bee, It's so good to see you getting involved on the land. I can tell you're
so happy to be engaged in making you and Theo's dreams come to life. Make
sure to rest when needed and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
You two are so real and inspirational. You give me hope for a future just as beautiful.
Bee, thanks for the update. I hope that you are not having all the pain you had before the surgery. It is lovely watching you both.
So happy you are both looking healthy and happy 😊……Bee 🐝 your beautiful inside and outside !
It’s so good to see you finishing off this lovely homestead.
Whoever ends up with it will surely appreciate all the detailed, thoughtful work you’ve put into it.
Best Of Luck!
It's hard to believe you guys won't have the off grid property any longer once it's sold. Gosh I watched all of the blood, sweat and tears you guys put into that property. When I started watching your channel it was just a old dusty barn and I wondered if you guys knew what you were gettting yourselves into. Look at it now, it's so beautiful. I have to tell you, the outhouse was my favorite tho. I always loved it.❤❤
So glad to see you back to being your old self Bee
Bea I think you are amazing and a very brave woman. I cannot believe how you are doing so much physical work. Please look after yourself. You had major surgery and I’m sure your body needs a lot of time to recover.the one good thing is that you are living I. A nice warm climate and I’m sure that helps both physically and mentally. Everything is looking Incredible, you are both working so hard. You are making massive changes and it just shoes what talents and determination you both have. Very well done both of you, you are a wonderful caring couple. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Flaxseed oil helps for the joint pains. I am 67 and also had a histerectomy but still take flaxseed oil
Bee, I’m loving your revived joy and humour, it warms my heart to see you so well. I hope Theo is having improvements with his health too. Blessings 😊🙏🏽😃
I completely understand. I had a hysterectomy at 42 for the same reason as you. I would not take estrogen because we have breast cancer in my family. Today, I put in four gardens. With stone and dirt. Also, I completely planted them. I am 68 and just ignore the joint pain. If it gets severe, I take ibuprofen. I push myself almost every day.
I'm thinking Furnando would call that trench "Cat box Alley" :D
I am enjoying seeing this little barn stead being prettied up and almost completed. Looking awesome! 🤩
It's so wonderful to see this property now as you continue work. It makes me happy to see that Bea is feeling much better and smiling and laughing. 😊
These Stories about Fernando are Hilarious Bea!!!🤣😊😊😊💕💕💕🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Bedrock water down. Team work makes the dream work! Putting the pipes together.
Sorry to say I'm 23 years older than Bee, so I've come by my menopause naturally. I highly recommend a supplement called Glucosamine Condroitin to help grease your joints and to keep moving ❤️
Good Luck with the renovation of the off-grid cabin. It will sell quickly
Rocky gorge,
Whoever buys this property should know what a top notch gem they’ll be getting. Only wished I could move out there into that wonderful property you guys created.
Bee, there's several things you can try for your joints! Curcumin (turmeric extract) in capsules with some piperine is superb to keep inflammation down in the body. Magnesium bysglicinate at bedtime, collagen (delicious bone broth) and many herbs you can grow in your gardens can help. I encourage you to seek the help of a Nutritionist, certified Herbalist or a Naturopath for a plan on how to support your body through the changes ❤❤❤
You two are some of my most favorite folks!!! I love your work ethic and determination. You should be quite proud of your accomplishments with the off grid homestead and of course Miracle Mountain.
How fantastic for whoever buys this property, the history is so well documented.x
I so admire what you do. I had a hysterectomy at36, never looked back, I just felt so much better.iI love your videos. Sending you both lots of love. And all the little besties too. X
I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 51. Surgery, radiotherapy and chemo threw me straight into menopause. Not sure if it was better than going through peri menopause. The cancer treatment has left me with numerous health problems. The worst is fibromyalgia. But I keep going. Bee, take it slowly. It was lovely seeing you both working together ❤❤❤
Hope you are doing ok ❤️
Thank you. ☺️
I hope everything will work out physically and mentally for you, and for Theo to. I haven’t heard anything anymore about his physical condition any more after you mentioned some test were done. You definitely don’t have to share everything but again, he will do oké to. For the moment it at least looks that way. I wish both of you all the best.
You are looking so much happier now. Glad you got the help you needed.
Another great video! So awesome to see both of you smiling while working. The property is looking great. I know it will sell quickly.
I am in peri- menopause for the last 5 years- joint pain sucks, lethargy & some depression. Wishing you the BEST!
Nice to see you both getting so health, crack on!
Bea, I had my first surgery to address endometriosis when I was twenty five. That was in the seventies. Not enough was either known or shared then. Five years later I had an infected ovary that also burst my appendix so emergency surgery. Then two years later I had oophorectomy to deal with second ovary. I can't prove this but I believe all this is connected to subsequent fibromyalgia, anxiety disorder, and depression which I have been dealing with ever since. I now, at 76, have been dealing with autoimmune hepatitis for 20 years. One thing leads to another. I wish we could all know more sooner. I am proud of you for dealing with everything so bravely and proud of Theo for supporting you the way my loving husband has for nearly 60 years.
Bee, working circles around Theo & the digger! Whoo-whee!
I get the feeling Fernando would call that trench, "The Hollow crack", teehee. Fab work you two. Lee xx
If I could afford to I'd buy this place in a heartbeat. Nice work you two. 😀
I love to see the off grid property being completed. It is looking wonderful.
Good on you, Bee! I got spayed when I was 44 years old, and I felt much better. Back 25 years ago, physicians didn't know as much about some of the GYN issues that cause problems for the woman but not easily diagnosed.
The place looks great, I would imagine you added a LOT of value to the property in just a couple of years through your hard work.❤
You are so funny, Bee, as well as Fernando, naming trails, etc. Makes me giggle 😊 Looks amazing...great job, you two.❤ May I ask about the status of the adorable 'city' house?
If I could make a suggestion about the joint pain? You may consider using your jacuzzi on a regular basis. It may help.😊
Looking good guys 💜and Bee have your vitamin D checked this is also essential for your bones after Menopause 💜
Great to hear that you have your sense of humour back Bea. X
Im in the middle/end of perimenopause and have experienced joint pain, I used a colostrum supplement. I helped the joint pain, plus my hair and nails improved as well! Glad you are feeling so much better Bea, its so nice having you in the videos once again. Also, love seeing the barn house again, its beautiful.
Pausing Fernando would name this trench Litter box Kingdom Palace❤😂
I have watched this project from its beginning. It is nice seeing it coming to completion! This will make a nice home for someone to live the simpler life. Hoping for an update on the village house.
This was my favorite video in a long time! It reminds me of your older style of videos. Nice work!
Woah! Now that’s a load of gravel! Everything looking so good. I wouldn’t be surprised if you got multiple offers on the property!😍🇨🇦
Hey Bee - have you thought of fish oil? This is natural (no script needed) and a daily dose of 2 capsules has masses of other benefits as well. Fish oil has an affect on joints, brain function, & mood.
It was such fun hanging out with you two today. The works looks fantastic! You two are amazing.❤
What ever happened to the property you guys purchased in town?
You do remember the the three level apartment type place with the attic and basement?
We remember you got as far as the kitchen and bath then nothing.
Long time views would like to know.
Also, what is happening on '57 Acres' while you both are reworking this place?
HI Bee, my PT states drinking more water helps with joint pain- I tried it and it works ( I'm always dehydrated). Also try Magnesium and also Glucosamine - very good with joint pain :)
Your Off-Grid property is going to be Sooooo INCREDIBLE for the New Owner…..You and Theo have put Thousands of hours of your OWN Blood, Sweat and Tears to create such a Wonderful property!
I L❤VE watching your videos and get Gitty when you surprise us with mid-week videos ( it’s like a mini-gift that you CAN’T wait to open!)…… Keep up your Awesomeness as us Followers 👍👍👍 Look forward EVERY week to see what you and Theo are up to!
….🇺🇸💕 Sherry
Almost laughed the tea out out of me nose a few times watching that video! :) Thank you. Needed a good laugh!
I had severe endometriosis and had surgery at 30. I didn’t know about the joint pain so thank you
For quite a while, l thought of you as fragile..But today, you are a BEAST!!!
Bee, best of luck with your health balancing act. You’ll get there, dear!😍🇨🇦
Love the work getting done with you both together !! Fairplay Bee for the little updates the take the taboo out of such subjects as menopause and general health which we are all going through in some degree !! My wife is perimenopause Thyroid and fibromyalgia ! but a trooper like you as you said its a learning curve for herself and me to understand no 2 days are the same !! great to see the tiny house coming full circle and concentrate on Miracle mountain |! take care folks
Hello from NYC USA 🇺🇸. So so happy to see you two back together again. ❤️❤️❤️🐾🙏🙏
Love 💗 the little raised bed beside the barn adds a nice touch this is such a lovely homestead
You are an impressive woman, and an impressive partnership. Hoping the menopause symptoms get under control ASAP. You will have encouraged and supported so many women Bee. Hugs
Hi, Theo and B you both look fantastic. I really enjoy your videos and I must say I really love and appreciate you both all the stuff you do and all the hard work you do together and I must say B you are looking fantastic. Keep up the good work guys, Cliff😊 from Australia.
Always so great to see you. Wonderful work on the off grid property 👍👍👍
This was truly a fun and interaction video! The place is turning out to be so stunning....wish I had the money I would grab it instantly! I am always stoked as to how well you two work together and especially your artistic and design qualities! I will surely miss seeing this place!. Maybe another RUclipsr will take possession so that we can always admire the work that you two put into this off grid property! ❤❤❤
I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist of 19 years and I also have joint pain, however, working outside and getting dirt under my nails......it relaxes me.
Bea! You are looking quite healthy these days. And I love your stories from Fernando.
On the subject of having to make more than one trip...when my sons had to bring the groceries in from the car, if they had to make more than one trip they called it "the walk of shame"!😂
The gravel coming off the truck sounded like a rain storm. Could be an ASMR sound loop!!
Bee if you've had a total hysterectomy, endometriosis should no longer be an issue, I would think!!
I had a hysterectomy but they left one ovary. Best thing ever, I had adenomyosis, not many women have heard about it!
You guys are hard workers in spite of your health challenges. Kudos to you both.
Hugs from 🇨🇦
Hi Theo, It's Chris from Sydney Australia, if you have a mind to try using one of the PVC pipes as a Didgeridoo, don't forget the circular breathing. Regards Chris.
Love Love Love this property.... Videos of this home really are wonderful! I missed seeing your adventures here!
Hi, lovely to see you looking so well again Bea, hope that Theo is recovering now, good luck with the sale of the offgrid property and I can't wait to see what you do at miracle mountain, all the best for the future. ❤
love how the barn property is coming along 🙂 I know somebody is going to appreciate everything y'all have done to make it a home 💖 hope y'all are having a nice weekend
Really looking great. Good work you two.
What a beautiful place!
You are making amazing progress at the Off Grid Property. We both have been watching your videos since you built the Off Grid property. You both work really hard. I hope you getva nice couple to buy the property. Well done😊
Thanks for the info sad how little doctors tell women about menopause, I have had joint pain for years all they ever say is lose weight which menopause makes super hard. Thanks for sharing 😊
Fernando might call that trench “Rock Bottom”😅
Thanks for the laugh Bea!
Top 10 things I never expected to hear Bea say. #1 Get some grease off the nipple. 😂 . Stay tuned for more. Hidden Trench? Yeah that’s all for now. Place looks awesome!
What happened to. The town house you purchased. It was quaint.
You go girl.., Bee your a bright spot. Your smile is always so bright
Tractor Trench 😻
Aah Bee, I enjoy your commentary so much, you both work so hard but it really is looking good. Well done, Theo, with all that digging and leveling.
Fernando would call that the Bedrock Breach!
Adjusting to life, health changes and challenges. Cleaning up around the barn house.
Keep going on, you’re an amazing people. God bless you.
Wow, just makes me think back to how lucky I was. At age 38ish I also had a hysterectomy & was cautioned against early onset of menopause.........whew - nothing. No form whatsoever of HRT needed. I do love your candour in discussing your personal experiences. There is, relatively speaking, so little broader info out there for us as a result of it being a "taboo/behind closed door" "female issue". BRAVO GIRL!!!!
p.s. you crack me up - your sense of humour is contagious.
Love your interaction with your 'children'
The off-grid property is looking amazing. I hope the future owners appreciate all the love and care you both put into this beautiful place. Much love and luck in all your future projects! 🇨🇦❤️🙏🇵🇹
I went in to menopause after a hysterectomy and had endometriosis to at 29. I found I don’t have energy I once had and have sore joints. I’m now 53.
What a lot of work! I was thinking you were almost finished....but that was ONLY the barn interior which I think you finished magnificently. The future owners will definitely benefit from the love and craftsman you gave to that property.
Before you spoke about menopause, I was watching you move all that building rubble and was wondering how you were…. Thank you for filling in the gaps…. I went through what I like to call “menopause under anaesthetic” - total hysterectomy owing to several fibroids - but I was 48 and had had my four children…. I always think of it as the “best day”!!! Pleased you are coming to terms with it all and that all the annoying symptoms settle down for you…. Take care of yourselves !!! ❤
Bee, I love your commentary and little “add-ons “ that you add when editing. I get a good chuckle 😂
I had a hysterectomy at 55, and had not started menopause yet, but had many and large fibroid tumors. They left the ovaries, I never had any symptoms of menopause except occasional night sweats after 60! I had migraines since periods began at 11. So glad when it was all over. Still have normal bone density in late 70s pretty lucky! Give yourself time! Baby yourself …you will be happier. If you don’t feel well, bake cookies for a day! LOVE YOU😕❣️❤️❣️❣️🥰😘
Vitamin D3/K3 is a must! I take Life Extensions D3/K2 with Iodine. I get my Vitamin D blood levels checked yearly. I keep my levels around 75. 50 nmol/L (20 ng/mL) or more is best. No more joint pain for me!
Nice to see the old place, looking forward to the end result. Glad you’re feeling better Bee❤❤
