My halo started to crash in every game, halo 1, 2, 3, even halo 4. It starts to crash lagging and freezing at one point that my pc is completely frozen. I hoped that this could fix it, but no, I'm still searching for answers :(

I regret buying this collection, I've had the fatal error crash from a long time ago. Microsoft devs couldn't fix it. I've tried your suggestion and didn't work either. It happens with Halo 2, I start a campaign and instantly crashes.

Could it be modified halo maps that are outdated? Cause those will crash your game
@@nicolae-alexandruluca7853 It was crashing on story mode, not online. However, miraclously a recent update fixed the issue, after 2 long years i can finally play halo 2.

@@StarLord10k it is Microsoft and 343 problem, they know about this now and asking everyone to send in their report so their team can investigate it. I already submitted my brief summary just now and hope this can help

yeah its 343's fault not your computer. I cant fucking believe they made an updated that causes the whole game to fail even in offline mode. Love Halo, fuck 343.

bro these file folders do not exist on my PC does not have the MCC folder

it was working for a while. then all of a sudden midgame it just stopped. ever since its never been able to even start up

It only crashes when i load up halo 2 missions.
weird idk why it would do that. have you modded the game at all? I know one time of my mcc breaking in a similar way of this video and it was for some reason one or more of the mods I had installed so I had to remove them and reinstall the game, after that it worked and I could reinstall the mods and they worked so I have no clue.
yeah just bought the game at cairo station loading screen stuck forever even i try try to play other mission but still it give ue4 error just waste my oney for this game

I'm interested in how you were able to pinpoint which file to delete. Was there a stack trace you analyzed? Why did you delete that movie file when nothing pointed you there? We can delete files and set different settings all day but if you don't have anything to backup why you did what you did, please let's not make a problem worse by GUESSING.
It still crashes for me, I boot up the game and instantly even after doing these steps, I don’t know what else to do :(

I started experiencing crashing issues on Halo 2 Anniversary, crashes when trying to load Delta Halo. All levels before it worked fine up until that point. Gonna see if this can work.

Do u know how to fix the fatal crash problem for me I don't know how to fix it I go through the Xbox app not steam and found no results for the Xbox app it was working fine last night other then my keyboard random stop working even tho I just changed the batteries I've tried some things I've found on different videos nothing and I can't even get in the game to go to settings

Do you know any fixes for Halo 2 anniversary crashing upon starting "The armory" mission?
Maybe try verifying the game files if that doesn't work or you are not using it through steam try reinstalling halo 2, I wish I could help more but that is all I can think of for that issue.

If you have this issue, Try verifying your game installation by right clicking the Halo: Master Chief Collection in your Steam Library's game list, Select "Properties", then select "Installed Files", then "Verify integrity of game files".
And if that don't work?

Before I try this I just wanna ask when exactly YOUR game crashed, so I know you're having the same crash as me. My game crashes right when the sign in screen finishes loading.
This is a fix. The file name to which this video likely refers is "FMS_logo_microsoft_7_1_.bk2".
Edit: The file name is also written in the video's description. I commented without looking at it first.

@@KitsuneDeite Yeah, everytime you start a good gaming session "fatal error" xD, ive heard that the skins was the issue, i dont remember were i read it, someone said you should remove the skins from customization. could possible be that because i recently added some after buying from the exchange for the first time. Sence then i got fatal error..Only on dedicated servers tho

@@KitsuneDeite im happy to say (hopefully) that i fixed it by just submitting a ticket to 343 and they just told me to turn off some overlays and it worked 😂 don't quote on me on this one, that was my fix.

I run into this issue every time I try to boot up Halo 2's campaign. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and it still didn't fix it.
I have this issue right now too with halo 2 campaign, did you ever find a fix? I uninstalled, reinstalled to C drive, redid graphics drivers, launched with -windowed mode, nothing is working :/

I unfortunately do not know what would cause that.. or a fix for it I am sorry. you could try validating the game files through steam if that is what you are using. or reinstalling halo 3/mcc

doesn't work for some people for some reason I guess. I don't have any idea why it wouldn't, maybe in the future I can figure out another fix I just haven't had the problem reappear yet or have not had another one occur.

@@KitsuneDeite update: I think it was the custom skins. When I turned them off for each Halo game, the game hasn't crashed since. Thanks for this tutorial though, game loads faster now lol.

@@TrickZ883 It's been a while but I went deep into the settings from the main menu. You have to turn off "custom skins" for each individual Halo game. That should solve it.
@@ParodyAccount_ Main menu like the Home Screen when you can select custom games and social? Because all it does is play the intro then gets to where you click to sign in then crashes and gives the error code.

I have a massive problem where I can open up my MCC but it will immediately close out but the game is still running and I can even hear it too. How do I fix that?
sorry for the late reply. I have had that issue happen as well before. now I can't remember the exact reason it is something to do with the game either being in windowed mode or not being in window mode and tabbing out of it will cause the issue. if you are running it in full screen try using windowed or borderless. if you are running it in window mode already try the opposite. That "should" fix it. all I can really remember about it sorry if none of that works. I know that a game called Contagion on steam also has the issue and its even mentioned within the settings of that game.
