Would be nice of devs to update the game so everything works. I know sometimes devs are happy to support the VR community and implement stuff, yet management has other plans. Maybe I'm a bit optimistic, but Ride 6 should support VR natively. If not, the company is just ignoring the future and it will bite them back one day.
I have been asking Milestone for VR since Ride 2. They are radio silent. it is truly sad as they are in a position to takeover the bike sim world if they would stop being so damn greedy.
@@gopherchucksgamingnstuff2263 by the time they wake up, it will be all game over. It's so clear the VR is the future. It's like the PDAs back in a day, that transformed into an iPhone/Android and became mainstream. We're getting very close to the moment the mass market device appears on the scene. I think maybe 5 years max.
How did you manage to fix it the first time? I've reinstalled, deleted the save files. I'm at a loss. Idk how to get a clean version like you to copy over.
Intsall the game, install UEVR. When you try to run it, it will stall out. Go to windows security, Virus and threat protection, Protection history, reinstate UEVR DLL. Run it again. As far as a loading issue. run the game normally. then exit out after you set everything up. Then go to the RIDE4 install folder and copy the EXE. put it on the desktop or somewhere you can find it. When the game crashes just re open from the one you saved. It is beyond sad Milestone is so damn greedy they can't be bothered to fix this issue with the log in credentials.
Make sure you go to APP DATA/ Look at the folder options/ show hidden, LOCAL/ then delete the RIDE 4 folder. That will force a new security key from milestones bunk ass server check system.
@@gopherchucksgamingnstuff2263 I did that several times and would just keep crashing. Mine wouldn't even boot up it would just crash at loading. I couldn't even get to the menu. So I turned off steam cloud saving, deleted the appdata ride 4 folder, all of it. And tried again. I'm back in the game. All my progress is lost but I just want to play in VR so I'm back in it. Thank you for your reply and help.
where i found the original folder? can you share it by zip please ?^
The folder is in. Your name or PC name. At the top click View. find the box that says show hidden or hidden check that box. Appdata will now be visible. Go to Local, Ride 4. delete that folder. Then restart the game. Get through set-up, when you are happy, exit the game. Rreturn to that same folder and make a copy of it. Save it to the desktop. When the game crashes again... And it will. Replace that folder with your copy.
