I’m not sure if there is a proper fix but if you are having this after season 3 you can change your graphic setting to 1600x900 windowed,uninstall and do what he told you to do then install again and cross your fucking fingers

Simply changing the resolution in the windows parameters worked for me. I triyed 1600*900

press Alt+Enter to go full screen and you should not have the problem. you just have to press Alt+Enter every

so uh i found something that works that doesnt erase your save file, but i got it from another person, i dont know the username though because dumb, but if this happens to you, putting the screen size in the text size settings to 100% instead if like 125% or 150% also fixes it
It's 2023 and it still happens from time to time, there's no solution. Sometimes it doesn't crash in months then it suddenly starts crashing again. The steam version of this game is just garbage.

Permanent solution:
Go to the game folder --> "RED" --> "Content" --> "Movies" --> Delete all the files in that folder.

Just had this happen...this is ridiculous for a 4 year old game...
This also happens if you run Steam on Big Picture mode and run the game. Crashes every time. Opening while steam is on normal mode doesn’t crash it

Happened to me today upon reinstalling dbfz, the only way I can find to fix it is through simply launching with steam whilst online. I encountered this trying to play the game offline with the unverum launcher.
Edit: After downloading the newest patch for unverum it seems to work fine again.
You just need only to delete *Config.sav* file in AppData\Local\DBFighterZ\Saved\SaveGames\*genedNumber*
pin this.

I have this problem with The Infected Game. I tried. Worked for 2 hours and bang, the game still crash again.

I have to delete the file every timei i want to play.

The way I got it to open without crashing is to just click on the reset to defaults option.

Hey my friend I need help! i am using VR Oculus Rift s which needs NVIDIA driver and Vulcan RT , but my VR game Fishermans tale crashes with same error of Ue4 fatal error and cant even launch the game! i figured out that by removing Vulcan RT with DDU software help to run the Fishermans tale game, but after that the Oculus rift S doesnt work! I have same problem with Project cars 3 and also Half life Alyx , Please if anyone knows help me! I rolled back Nvidia drivers nothing helps Also reinstalled game nothing helps!!! only removing Vulkan Run Time helps the games to work but in that case my Oculus Rift S doesnt work !
