I have this car.I like it..it is really smooth and economy car and pretty powerfull for accelarations till 100kmh...it has 82hp but it weights only 960kg...so the 82hp are enough
does it have 3 cylinders engine ?

Otra prueba de un "simple" 1.2 de gasolina y no me canso de ver lo bien que van, lo poco y bien que suenan y el bajo consumo que obtienen, sin llegar a los de un diésel moderno, pero apostando por la sencillez y el bajo mantenimiento. Un producto muy equilibrado y muy a tener en cuenta como segundo coche
Lo recomiendas como primer coche para uso de cortas distancias?

Definitely with this engine, it's mostly intended for the city. For this kind of driving conditions, the 1.6 BlueHDi is more adequate.

It's much better :) other brand make to long gear ratio for low power car...

I just got my driving license several of days ago and I am very interested in buying this car. Should I?
If you are confident enough driving a new car as your very first, sure go for it. It is rather easy to drive (smooth steering and clutch) as it is small/compact and has enough power and space for a beginner. Most beginners start off with something older/cheaper as a lot of them damage/scratch their first cars; me included. I wrecked my 1200€ Fiat Punto after 6 weeks. Glad that i did not have something more expensive ;)
I think I am a pretty careful driver when it comes to that and I am not really up for driving a cheaper car I want something decent even for a beginner :) However I don't want to get too crazy with spending on my first car ... €6000-7000 tops and this fits right into that budget and from what I've seen it's worth all the money compared to the rivals and what you actually get for that kind of money ... :)

Good test though. For a 1.2, 3 cyl and 82 bhp with AC on, I think that´s pretty decent.
i think the 1.6 bluehdi diesel would do a lot better.

Yes it's a naturally aspirated 1,2 Liter 82 horsepower 3 cylinders engine and i'm agree with you it sounds really nice for a small 3 cylinders engine👍.

i drove many models, i must say the european cars peugeot in general, they require ALOT of maintenance, never miss an oil change, all ways top off the water, etc. They seem less forgiven when you miss its maintenance, it feels like you own a motorcycle, very delicate cars. mostly plastic too, one thing i hate about these cars, very light tho and stable.
Do you recommend this car as a first car?

Même si elle est plus légère que la 207 qu'elle remplace, je trouve que 82ch c'est un peu juste pour envisager de l'autoroute (allemande), l'idéal aurait été le pure tech 110 ch qui se défend très bien pour une citadine ...

How many RPM have the engine at 100km/h? What is your general opinion about this engine?
While accelerating to top speed at the mark of 100km/h i was in third gear at 5000 rpms. 100km/h in fifth gear should be around 2500rpm.
The engine feels alright. Good for city driving. I can't make any statement regarding reliability. ;)
100kmh is at 3200 rpm i have the same car. is very nice car but not directly fuel economic. go for the 6 speed if u buy one
Turbo version has 2700rpm at 120km/h which is not bad for a five gear car (average 6l/100km at 120km/h).

Hi there i got 2017 peugeot 208 1.2 turbo petrol
Recently i realised that my car is shaking while engine runs , two days ago it was shaking while engine run with ac, today its shaking while engine run with and without ac. Tachometer is holding on 900rpm and jumps every couple of seconds to about 1k rpm and then coming back to normal. Its happening on warm or either cold engine. Im about 38,000 km before service. Wondering what that could be?
did anyone face the same issue like me and got an solution for this?

It's incredible how much fuel this car consumes for only 60 kW. And the computer lies straight to your face. Told me half a liter less than the fuel dispenser.

Because the engine has its power peak at 5750 rpms.

Yes, this one does not have a turbocharger, just uses intake-manifold fuel injection. ;)

👍 If you change Just the Air Intakte Filter, it runs 15 Kilometer faster with better Acceleration!
I put an K&N filter in mine, Feels alot better!

@@ikramshahar44 I dont have the car anymore but it was more responsive in the revs and it felt like it pulled a little better. Wont be a world of difference, Dint use anymore fuel either

Dhiven Govender It does 160 km/h at 5000rpms in 5th gear. It's punchy in the city.

Put BMC air filter because this little engine need to breath more so u'll gain a little bit more power

6,6l/100km at our test drive in the city/on country roads. 9,6l/100km on the Autobahn (Top speed drive).
I drive this car with 5l/100km
In the summer i can it down to 3.2 or 3.6 liter/100km
Transmission (gearbox) is whining and noisy as a Peugeot standard.

If you pass 3500 RPM in your daily Drive the engin will consum the oil and you have to put on New chambres and New rings
But sometimes you have to pass it. For example while overtaking other cars

Pareil je préfère la bouille de la 207 ainsi que son habitacle même si ça fait un peu moins high-tech mais c'était plus épuré et mieux intégré ...

Kefmans if you want the speed you need to check a 208 GTI, which is fantastic. This is a city car. Even the Benz in this class performs as "slowly" as this car because its a citadine and not a hot hatch, you dummie.
