    Anker has been, and always will be my go to for a small powerbank. If these big ones are as good as those then I’d happily buy👍🏼
    I wouldn’t worry mate about powerbank reviews, anyone that moans is probably just jealous in my opinion. You’ve got to take those offers to pay for trips 👍🏼

      Thank you I enjoy power stations. I use them in my general day today and for the size the C1000 is definitely the best I’ve tested in this mid sized 1kWh area

      Never was cool to begin with! To be fair, I love the step through bikes, even though traditionally they are women’s bikes frames. it’s a beast of a bike, I’ve had some epic Scottish adventures riding up mountains and Glens gravel forestry tracks.

      Fair enough 😂 I am only joking, your videos are an incredibly informative and inspiring, personally can’t stand EBikes just seems besides the point. But it takes a confident man to sit astride a step through so well done

    OOOOH, at 07:12 Just noticed an antenna on the roof, 5G or something else.
    When in Norway, charge ya power station from somewhere like the Alta Hydroelectric Power Station. I think it's the most northen Hydroelectric, See who will sponsor you. ;-)
    I Remember you used one as a foot rest. lol.
    Thanks for another great behind the scenes video.

      That was a CB aerial which I had on for 2021 and 2022 which has subsequently being removed as I no longer use it.
      Sounds like a bit of fun to do that next time I’m up there.
      I still need to do the thermal test to see if it’s a decent warm foot rest.

    I'd never thought this would happen, but I actually bought an anker powerstation for my van due to a youtube review... It just seems like a good solution for a compact electrical system in my tiny van. I am on a tight budget though so it became the smallest one they make, 256 Wh. Hoping that this will be enough for ~2 phone charges, some small led lights and diesel heater on low for ~8 hours.

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  10 месяцев назад

      I hope it works out well for you, the Anker 521 ( 256wh model ) looks like a good unit. I find them very useful as compact electrical systems as you pointed. Through the RUclips channel, I’ve been fortunate to be able to use different models over the last two years, I generally get day-to-day use out of mine

      @@MispronouncedAdventures Thanks for your reaction :). Knowing you recommend this brand while being an (outdoor) gear nerd with extensive experience with powerbanks (and with this brand in the field as well) was the deciding factor for me to go for this unit.
      Now i'm thinking how I want to wire the unit into my van. I want to be able to be able to remove it without hassle, and ideally have it charging when my engine is running. I also would like to be able to run my diesel heater and some ceiling Lights simultaneously. Dou you have some tips?

      @@rik8508 the Anker 521 can be charged via a car 12v socket or c-usb. So you could just plug at in when driving. That’s what I do with my EcoFlow River 2 ( also 256wh )
      As for the heater that can be a difficult one sometime. most 12 V sockets. Have no problem running the heater when it’s running but some units don’t like the glow plug at the draw on start up can be higher ( 120w - 130w area ), some people use very small AC to DC power supplies of the inverter to start diesel heater

    • @rik8508
      @rik8508 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@MispronouncedAdventures I was thinking to wire a switch into my dashboard, connecting the powerstation to a 12v output from the engine, or maybe even use a relay that is powered when the engine contact is on.
      I had seen some videos on yt showing a power draw of ~110W during start-up/cooldown so I am hoping it will run it. Otherwise, using the inverter is a clever solution. Can you switch a Diesel heater between powersources while running though? That implies it being powered down for at least a few seconds right? In my mind that might cause a hot shutdown and it starting up the glowplug when plugged in again?

    Looks a nice bit of kit. Do you know if the Anker power stations can be charged by solar and AC (via an inverter) simultaneously?

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  11 месяцев назад +2

      Had a quick test. Input / charge prioritises AC ( when are too a 1000W ). you could have them both plug in. But that AC input will switch off the DC input. The max AC Charge is 1300W so around 58 minutes from 0-100%, solar is a max of 600W

      @@MispronouncedAdventures Crikey, that's good service! 😀
      I may be doing a van build next year and would be powering the electrics completely with a power station. I liked the Bluetti AC200MAX because it can be charged by solar and AC together but its COMBINED max input is just 900W solar and 400W AC.
      I guess, with the Anker, I'd just have to get a more powerful inverter for when the engine's running.
      Would the Transit's alternator and starter battery be able to keep up with the power station taking 1300W?

      It’s easily the most powerful I’ve tested spec wise in the 1kWh area
