    Hi Rich ive got the newer frame 1500w and when I bought it said upgraded forks and measured my fork tubes. I’m getting 700mm I was wondering if I’m measuring from the wrong place (top of where the hub nut is)
    These shocks say 675mm
    Is that correct.
    I’m ordering second set of shocks because I grabbed the wrong ones before so just want to make sure these ones will work

    Hey B Rich!
    Apparently the air fork industry for these types of eBikes are upgrading to 34mm dia. down tubes (32mm Q20 (& others) must have been collapsing under stress, from dummies trying to "X-Game" jump these eBikes I guess). Anyways, the 34mm stem is shorter than Q20, so needs extension or higher handlebars (as you showed in your other videos) but also comes bare, no bottom crown race. So it's either buy a tool to transfer Q20 crown race or buy a new crown race. My question is, would you happen to remember what size crown race to purchase? I know the ID is 30mm but what size OD to seat existing bearings properly, 44mm maybe? And what stem extension/type do you recommend particularly for the Q20 if I wanted to keep my existing handlebars? We all really appreciate your quick responses & all your hard work creating these valuable videos! Please keep up your great work, Thank you!

    Partly based on your video's I bought this bike. Arived today. Sadly rear fender broken and front brake disk has a weird manufactured defect, goes up and down by almost 1cm. Will contact the supplier. Related to this video I have a question about the suspension. The rear triangle. Rear pivot point as quite a lot of play in it. Sideway force on the bottom breaket 2- 3 cm of movement. The pivot point seems to be a cheap construction, no bearings, probably some kind of rubbery bushing (I hope at least something is in there) but ist very easy to see it move. Also visible when you shake the bike at the handle bars. Can't be very good for handling of the bike.
    Is this normal for this bike.

    • @BRichSolution
      @BRichSolution  Год назад

      Sorry to hear about bike damage. Was the box busted?
      As for bikes rear suspensions the 2-3mm play is not normal

      @@BRichSolutionthanks for your answer you seem to have the most experience with this bike. Seems that I have a lot of issues. The damage and front disk are easy to rectify.
      Max speed only 26 miles, not being able to limit the max speed or changing drive modes ( and not disabling trottle) are bigger problems.
      The play in the rear suspension is 2-3 mm at the pivot point, at the wheel its a lot more (cm's). I will try to make a small movie and post it but have to figure out how to do that.

    B.Rich I tried doing this but ordered the fork from your link in description and it was the wrong size. I had to reinstall the stock fork due to it being for the ridstar Q20 I learned the hardware that the Q20 PRO has a different frame even though they seem similar. I'm reaching out because through your videos I was able to learn how to upgrade my brakes and fork if it would have been the correct size. I am reaching out to you to see if you can help me by informing me of the correct front fork and rear suspension size for my Ridstar Q20 Pro? Thank you for your videos they are very informative. Look foward to your future videos.

      What is the diameter or the fork on the Ridstar Q20 pro? The suspension tube diameter on the air fork for Q20 is 32mm, is the Q20 pro 34mm?

    • @ChosenD1P
      @ChosenD1P Год назад

      The neck part is a bit too big to go through the crown that comes on the q20 pro. I followed your instructions to the tee and the one you have on your link the shocks themselves meaning the long
      Part with the air adjustment red air release button those two shock poles were noticeably thinner on the model you shared on link
      The neck was a bit big didn't fit on the part that the stem that connects to handlebars was too big. Common sense tells me it's probably a 34mm. But I am looking all through the internet for the specs and can't find it
      The specs for the one you have on your RUclips was easy to find but the q20 PRO all I find is the other 2 out of the 3 models. I have the 52v 40ah which is 2 batteries at 20ah each.

    B Rich... great videos on the Ridstar q20.... I just got mine the other day and so far, so good. I love this thing. It looks good and is quick and powerful. I'm also looking to do the suspension upgrade you made it look easy. One question if I may... regarding the brakes my q20 the rear brake is operated via the left handle; and the front brake works from the right side handle...? this is opposite of all of the mountain bike and motorcycles I had through the years. Is that by design or a mistake? It will take a bit to get used to....

    • @BRichSolution
      @BRichSolution  Год назад +3

      By design… having left handed rear brake is safer IMO as you can keep hand on lever and right hand twist throttles. This way in emergency you don’t have swith change from throttle to rear brake on the right side

    I couldn't do the front upgrade to my Ridstar. My shocks only had 3 screws on one crown and the bottom crown has no screws and looks welded on. I couldn't slide them out so I took the entire front apart. The front fork upgrade you're suggesting the washers on the original fork wont slide all the way down in the middle, they get stuck before it hit the bottom. If you cant slide out the shocks this wont work.
