I can’t believe this just showed up on my home page! The author of the first book was my grandpa who just passed away a few weeks ago. He was a great man who wanted to help everyone. I’m so glad the universe let me see this. Thank you! 💜
Hi Izzy. Your grandpa left a BEAUTIFUL legacy. I used these books in PA school 20 years ago and, STILL use them for review and teaching. Your grandpa has helped me diagnose, treat illnesses and save lives. God bless him. Take care!😊❤☝🏾👋🏾👨🏾⚕️
Hey Sky! It's a cool coincidence that you want to be a surgeon too. I ordered the Netter's book. I'm a high school sophomore and I'm hoping to specialize in neurosurgery but I find the whole human body and systems within fascinating. Are you still hoping to be a surgeon until this day? Are you aware of what you want to specialize in? Thanks!
Hi there! I used these coloring books in physician associate school twenty years ago. I STILL have them. It's a GREAT way to learn and, I find it very relaxing. I use color pencils. Take care!😊👋🏾👨🏾⚕️
Omg you are a lifesaver, I'm in med school and I want to try this as an aditional study method for learning Anatomy! So now I know witch one to go for!
One thing I'll add: in the anatomy coloring book, most of the plates (coloring sheets) later in the book occupy only one sheet, so bleed through end up being less of an issue.
Great review, I'm looking to learn more about the anatomy because I'm planning of being a surgeon for my profession. And because of your input I'm going with the netters one
Thank you for this fascinating review Laura. I love it & I'm getting the Netter's book you showed as one of my Christmas gifts. I'm a boy in my sophomore year of high school who's aspiring to be a neurosurgeon and biomedical engineer. I'm in AP Chemistry one year early and I love science. I can't thank you enough for assisting in my decision to buy the book.
Thanks for talking about bleed-through. I thought it would be fun to do some of these, but I worry about my copic markers and how they will act with the paper. Just ordered the Netter book. Thanks again for the useful review.
I will say that copic markers bleed through most papers except specialty paper meant for alcohol markers. That said, I think the copics will blend smoothly in the netter book and be very fun on those illustrations! I'd recommend popping a sheet of paper behind the page you're working on just in case! Thanks for the comment!
Your review is really well done. I'm a mature student going back to university. After seeing your comparison, I now know that I'll be ordering the version by Kapit. Thanks a ton for the crystal clear video!
Oh thank you so much!! I am working hard trying to improve my videos and planning them a little more, I think it is helping! So glad you're interested in this subject, I'll be showing some anatomy coloring in the future if you're interested!
Thanks for doing this review. I really feel the Netter book should have had the same colour key as the first book, like you said, just colouring in those teeny squares instead of the words for the structures doesn't help with memorization. What brand of coloured pencils did you use?
I haven't colored a completed version of either book.. and I'm not a medical student so I'm not one to follow! Please do consult anatomy textbooks if you're concerned about how to color them.
This is very helpful. Do you think this will be helpful for 7-8th grades as an early step preparing them to be good in biology? I appreciate if you could guide me if this is too early for them or if you have another recommendation for a specific book for mid school or early high school. Thank you

I'm sorry for your loss.

Jessica P thank you so much, glad you found it helpful!! ❤
Coloring is so therapeutic! Nicely done 🙂 Can you link the colored pencils you used? I was curious to the fine tip ones you used in the video. Thanks!
The first book is excellent for memory .. high end colleges use this book .. Thank You 👍👍
Can you upload a completed version of all the pages of the first book because i just got it and i’m scared that i’ll color in the wrong thing
I haven't colored a completed version of either book.. and I'm not a medical student so I'm not one to follow! Please do consult anatomy textbooks if you're concerned about how to color them.
lauracolorstoo oh ok! thanks for the help!
Love your review! Just letting you know that the nuclear membrane is made up of the endoplasmic reticulum (blue instead of pink).
Good thing I'm just coloring for fun!
I was wondering which one to pick and your review helped me out a lot, thank you ❤️
So happy it helped! Thanks for the nice comment!
