Another good beginner bassist tutorial, Tatiana! While I had it running in one tab, I tracked down the "How Music Works" ebook by Wayne Chase and purchased it. $16 USD. I comes with two PDF posters and the user guides for each. There were also the same 5 downloads formatted for two different ebook readers. How Music Works will not be for those who prefer bullet points and lots of pictures. It looked much more like a reference work on the quick scan I had time for. It makes heavy use of the Circle of 5ths, but in a slightly different way than I am used to. I think the Musical Instruments chart, which maps a lot of different instruments to a full range piano keyboard and the related MIDI note range, will be useful when composing. I still need to get my head around composing for transposing instruments like B flat and E flat ones.

I am so happy you find my videos useful and leading to some new knowledge and maybe skills! You alone could motivate me enough to go on! I appreciate your comments! ☺️❤️ Please share your compositions one day!

whenever i pick up a new instrument my first instinct is to figure out how to play a major scale on it. after that i can kind of fake it enough to do something amusing. if you learn this you have taken the most important step to getting good.

Absolutely! This is my approach too, and I’m happy I’m not alone in this! ☺️
