Thanks for mentioning the bypasses. I went up about 3 miles from the rock today and decided to head back and get an early start tomorrow instead. Today, I did China Dam and Tule homestead trails. The first few miles of back way seemed like cake in comparison.
Also, I'm running a 2d JK. No lift, 32's. Lockers and 4:11 gears.

Back in 2020 when covid hit I was working for an offroad shop and the sales of sxs's sky rocketed and they where do the backway to crown king which has torn the trail up alot and then you got the ones turning around and come from the other direction causing alot of trafic jams , I don't know how many times me and friend almost collided with with them in our jeeps because they are flying around corners and down the trail

I've got 35s on my 2 door JL and have had the same thoughts you got. Somedays I really want 37s, some days I'm perfectly content with 35s. 35s are really good on the 2 doors. That being said, I do plan to re-gear in the near future and plan to put enough gearing in there to turn 37s just in case, sometime down the road I decide to bump up. Good luck out there and ride safe.

BWTCK is a fun all day adventure trail with at least 10 obstacles, great and varied scenery, and a destination payoff. You never know what you might encounter along the way on this trail and should be prepared for anything. It's not uncommon to encounter others who need help. Great video. Thanks for sharing. Tell Joe to keep his head on a swivel for Bigfoot. 🙂

    When i went to 37s:
Broke my last non chromoly axle
Had to swap out for fender flares
    Replaced weak coil springs
    Slowed my accel a little
I didn’t install spacers but have backspacing so rubs in front sometimes
37s look cool but i would not have done it in retrospect.
    I already regeared to 488
    Had “three” chromolly axles
    Had back spaced rims
3.5” teraflex lift on a jk two door (2007 Rubi)
    On good side
    Helped a bit with clearance
    Looks cool
    Bragging rights…if that’s somethin’
    Giod luck.
    Great video sir.

Last time I took that trip it was in 1978 in a friends Dodge Polaris. Made it with no problems other than a flat. It looks like it has gotten a little rougher since then.

@@TheRightLine ah crap. thanks for the info. i made it to the top at 10:27 in my truck without issues, but had to turn around since it was late in the day. was thinking of going back and completing the trail, but i guess there's a truck blocking the bypass by the waterfall, so my long wheelbase would get stuck on the waterfall if i go over that. :(

    • @TheRightLine

The road has been directed down into the creek until you pass the mining operations there.

    • @TheRightLine
      @TheRightLine  Год назад

Good evening, your Tacoma will be fine until the large obstacle in the video that I had to bypass. There are two challenges after that, a v crack and the last creek crossing. Once you cross the creek after that, it'll be easier. You'll have plenty of obstacles to play on but the 3 I mentioned above are the most challenging. Don't go alone. I assume the Tacoma is 4x4?

    • @mykalaraki9435

LMFAO!!!! We have been to Crown King dozens of times times in a 2006 Honda Odyssey. We have also been on the exact same path with a ford rental truck. What a bunch of rookies! Imagine being proud of spending 10's of thousands to accomplish what a stock rental truck has easily done??!! LMFAO!!!

The difference between 35s and 37’s in real numbers, actual measurement, is less than an inch and a half. And not much weight difference either.

Right. Most are barely the advertised size anyways. That's one reason I go back and forth. Really worth the added expense, don't think so.
