673 hrs in-game. Played as Sebille, with Lohse as the main love interest. Was trying to play as true to the character as possible, focusing entirely and single-mindedly on the quest of revenge. Somewhere along the way, Lohse taught me that there had to be more to life than just the darkness one has known. By the time I confronted the Shadow Prince, finding a way to help Lohse had already become more important. I was certain that she would succumb eventually, and that the conversations in which she was unable to sing were just tragic hints of what she had lost. Getting to hear this song and have Lohse's character freed of her burden was the single greatest moment in any artistic medium, let alone video gaming. This was the true ending of the game for me. Haven't touched the game in years, but hearing this song still brings on the tears. brb, installing it again.
I never uninstalled, it's a game I just can't bring myself to do it. anytime I make a new friend I must sound like that crazy guy "hey now hear me out, this game is awesome, we should play it...I've only played thru it a few times, don't look at my hours"
Gonna be real here. Killed her demon, jumped out of my seat when I saw Lohse’ lute on his body. I immediately played it and couldn’t help but cry. Just being able to hear her sing and be happy hits in all the right places. Such a beautiful end to her quest line
As someone who is schizophrenic, I fell in love with Lohe's story as a character. When she says that she feels like she's being controlled or there are voices in her head, I felt the same way sometimes. But she still pulls through it with witty jokes and kept pushing forward no matter how sick she gets. She's a true inspiration, thanks Larian for such a beautifully written character.
@David shuffett So, um, what a wrecked up neural system due to a random duplicated CNV mutations in DNA has to do with demon possession or Jesus, exactly?
@David shuffett oh, right, "parrots repeat what they are told", watch out, we've got another better-than-anyone-else type here. Maybe you would like to deny any other current progress, advances or basic knowledge of medicine or any other science sphere? Like, the daylight comes not because there is a star called the sun in the outer space which is burning but comes from heaven, perhaps? Who do you work as? Casting out demons, lmao. Regarding "holy cures", never heard of placebo effect? Oh yeah, multiple personalities are definitely demons and definitely exist. Doesn't matter that we only hear about multiple personalities when another serial killer is caught who clearly wishes to receive death sentence or to be locked into a jail for a lifetime and be beaten up there every day and totally not to chill out as a patient in mental hospital, but who cares, right? Sure, it's definitely demons and only the god himself can help... oh wait, the god was offended by adam's betrayal and the bible claims that the god since then stopped helping or making any contacts with humans to teach them since they rejected following the god's will but followed their own and he will not intervene anymore just so they can understand the falseness of their thoughts and deeds and he will not return until the rulers of every nation on the Earth have been smited, only then he will return and establish the kingdom of god with no evil. Happy end. I am slightly educated in every sphere including religion, as you may have noticed, thank you. That's why I do not believe in it in the first place. It was nice of you making assumptions and thinking you are an all-knowing-mind and better than someone, though. Totally not the type of behavior which is disapproved by religious texts.
But we kinda moved away from the topic Okay, here's my own personal experience - sometimes when trying to get to sleep and in this condition of being half-awake and half-asleep I can be awakened by some sudden very short (1-2 seconds) shakes in entire body similar to being electrocuted which makes me change position from lying into sitting very fast. I certainly didn't make those although it is me who consciously gets up from lying position. Is it the "demonic possession" which you appear to like that much? Or is it some totally acceptable process/signal in a neural system which seems logical (between shifting phases from conscious to sleep the heartbeat and the breath slows down, the brain can falsely send some emergency signals to neural system to wake up, thinking that the organism is dying) but you describe as "parrots repeat what they are told?"
My grandpa also had a moderate mental disorder after a heart attack and a stroke, did a demon caused this to not recognize us and not remembering who he was or a lot of things about himself? We ourselves know only a small knowledge of how our organism and especially mind and neural system actually work and interpret reality

I love this song, I almost cried when I heard it in a game - especially because Lohse character is terrifyingly similar to girl I loved back in high school times. Similar personality, similar behaviour, similar voice, similar face (on avatar), similar dark eyes. Only the hair made a difference. You can imagine how stunned I was when I played Divinity Original Sin 2 for the first time
I played through this game first as Ifan, I thought decent story I enjoy the path it takes. (I played it as Lone Wolf) I followed up with Fane, absolutely fantastic story, especially because I took Sebille with me to the end (when I was given Sebille's song for the prince and held that power I thought this game is amazing). Then I did Red Prince, Beast, Sebille (Great Great Great), Ifan again (way better than my first). I remember on a few of the playthroughs I took Lohse with me as a side-kick. Never really enjoying the story, or should I never investing into the story to appreciate it and always kind of dismissing her from the party and not taking it to the end. Finally I decided I love this game too much to not have experienced every single aspect that I can about it, I finally played through the story with Lohse. Incredible. From all my other playthroughs I knew about adramahlihk and I knew that it was he who was the demon that was tethered to her mind, so on, so forth. Love you game but you can't really show me anything new at this point (were my thoughts). When the lute dropped, I thought as it as a nice little tid bit and that it was ornamental, sort of a "kudos" and nothing more. When I used it, I had shiver's. It completely caught me off gaurd that a full song (fantastic song) would play in the middle of the game. In 300+ hours of playing, multiple playthroughs of the exact same spot, to be surprised by something (yet again as I had been many times before) was really special. Love Larian studios and in all honesty this game has given me the enjoyment of playing a video game that I haven't had since I was a child, when I was experiencing games for the first time.
this game... it really is something special. one day me & a friend played 18 hours straight, yeah that wasn't healthy but holy shit, on these days i only play 1 hour of a game then switch to do something else.
The sheer amount of work and choreography they put into JUST this song and dance animation blew me away. Damn I want this song in MP3 so I can annoy cars next to me with it.
Got to that part today, had seen this vid before, but when I unlocked it myself it hit differently. I felt happy getting it, and reward full as hell. One of my fav moments in the game period.
This was an incredible moment, I remember how it went down so well. First I cheesed the demon by getting my initiative so high I could stun lock him before getting his true form, then I melted him in his feeble mortal form and slaughtered the rest of his cohort. Then I talked to Lohse, then she sung and then I cried.
Oh Lohse is truly amazing, saved all opinion of game for me. I loved it till half of act 2, thanks to weird stat scaling and overleveling and battle boredom, i was annoyed up to act 4. Holded on only because amazing companions, and Lohse especially. And this moment, after you defeat that thing, was so rewarding. One of best companions in all RPGs - Lohse, with super amazing voice acting. Thinking of playing all again, and somewhat avoid this overleveling nonsense.
As someone who broke the game without any exploits, this game only needs you to TRULY understand every single gameplay feature. Never understimate your opponenets or you might peril. Im after a Honour mode playthrough and let me tell you, mastery in this game truly devides good players vs exceptional players BTW HydroNecro Undead is faily balanced and doesnt need nerfs whatsoever :^)

@@antonois My only problem with that one was I couldn't understand the dang words so it lost some of it's effect. Still a great moment but I think I like Lohse's moment more.

Considering she was possessed by a demon... It really sounds like the demon is speaking here. "Listen do you hear me?" "Sing with me we'll make them bleed", "You are me now !" or "Let's make them scream!". All of those are probably things the demon kept telling her throughout the whole adventure.
This was the moment that solidified my love for this game. I already loved this game from the start but hearing this song after the journey she went through just made this game so much more for me, a work of art and of fiction ❤ Man, I love Larian for giving us this masterpiece of a game ❤
For me, this was the greatest quest closure of any game I have played. Definitely pick Lohse’s character for game play. DOS2 needs expansion packs for this world like putting Beast back in power the dwarves kingdom.
I was so invested in Lohse's story and when I got that lute and played it over Adramalikh's body it was so fulfilling!! Made her drink wine and chill out while the whole party looted the Doctor's house. I role-played harder than any live DND session hahaha this game is AMAZING
Ever notice you can hear this song without the lyrics in a few places well before this event? Like the Tavern in Act 2 for example as like just background music.
My screen was shaking white the beats of the song , it was incredible , added that extra umpf to the song.

This was such an amazing moment in DOS2. I got chills all over. My first playthrough had Lohse, Sebille (main), Fane and Red Prince. I gotta have another one with Beast and Ifan, but as of right now, Lohse is the best character I've played in DOS, and I'll be damned, one of the best RPGs character arcs of all time in my humble opinion.
Andre, I think Sebille gets pretty close if you play as a Lizard. I created a Lizard character and as soon as I met Sebille, knowing that she hates Lizards because they enslaved her, I knew I just had to have her as my companion. That also solidified the type of character I wanted to play as. I wanted to play a Lizard who is everything that Lizards are not known to be in this world. I played a kind and heroic and intelligent scholarly Lizard. I tried to be as friendly as possible, make the best choices I could, and I picked the HERO tag whenever it appeared. That makes it ever more sweeter when I eventually changed Sebille's mind of me.
In my first playthrough I played Fane. And I romance loshe, i love her story because it is very active. Fane on the other hand is a slow build. And the reveal at the finale shook me to my core, as I tried to figure out how to react. Fane is,a smart, intelligent, and kind man who wanted to find out the secrets of the universe. Unfortunately one of his freinds used that knowledge to doom his entire race. He then has to decide which of the two worlds he would rather live. The world of mortals that he has become rather fond of, or does he bring back his freinds, family, and loved ones to rebuild the world of old.
@@kocashima I play Lohse and actually decided to romance Fane. Ifan was my first pick because of their kiss in the undertavern, but later on board Lady Vengeance in the Halls of Echoes he turned her down for no reason. But honestly I don't regret being with Fane, I think Lohse got more from him, than what she could ever hope from Ifan, their trip into Fane's past was magical, perfectly done. Fane is (for an undead) simply amazing.
I played my first playthrough about a month or two ago, with Lohse as my Origin. This was incredible for me to experience. It had to be the top of all first playthroughs too, since I romanced Sebille, and I feel like it is the most perfect pairing... Two girls that the world tried to break, joining together to rock the world.
I want something like this in Baldur's gate 3. In fact, it would be amazing to play with a Bard Class, and in a specific moment of the main story we could play a song specially made for the bard origin/class, like Lohse, in our camp, surrounded by our friends, singing for them like Leliana did in Dragon Age Origins.
They actually took the time to animate the effects and sync it to the muslic. Friggin love this game. It doesn't quite match Witcher 3 still for lack of amazing dialogue cutscenes but everything else is pretty much on par. Games like this prove that no matter how much they try; EA, Ubisoft, Disney and so on can not ruin the industry as a whole.
Witcher 3 is the best while also divinity original sin 2, both for thier kinds of games. saying one is better is like saying coca cola is best, oreo is 2nd. (lets not start a debate about those o.o)
Well you might think it lack that dialogue cutscenes but this game was meant to be created like a book. It is your OWN MIND that makes those animations and that is something spectacular. The Narrator did really good job with that man. And on the other hand you cannot just compare game that have its own story decided with some little decisions and a game where you are creating your own story. Yeah Divinity Original Sin 2 got that main quest but you have so many outcomes in the end that it blowed my mind. Well but I think you see my point, both games are One of the best of its kind but they are so much different.
Same applies to Pillars Eternity 2 which is the best RPG of this year. By far. In fact I am enjoying it more than TW 3 and DoS 2. You don't need cinematic cutscenes. Your imagination does it better.
I just completed her questline tonight and I dont think I’ve ever been so emotional for an NPC questline. Her song and her freedom made me incredibly happy. Lohse is definitely best Bard girl
When I first heard this song, I just closed my eyes and imagined all the hours of adventure I had with my party, and it fit perfectly. I can't do a play though without Lohse
right before entering the final battle I talked with all my party members (gotta get that sweet sweet dialogue) and I was really surprised to see the option to ask lohse to sing. I was blown away by how beautiful the song was and how powerful it was. its the little things like this that make divinity os 2 such an amazing game.
Be me -touched a cake at wedding, get jumped by toys -figth starts -this music plays a long at right time too -thought it is battle music, "nice I say" -friend calls me, looks at friend, dude is the one playing -holy shit this game keeps giving me surprises
As much as I loved this game it wasn’t my favorite.... until I beat Adramalik and heard this song. Then it became the best game I have ever played and have since recommended all of my friends to play it.
@Mark Lucchese Actually you could influence her decision.Maybe you didnt build enough trust with her throughout the game, or maybe you just didnt choose right dialog path, its a little tricky in the end. If you dont douse the flames tho fight with the doctor will be much harder.
@Mark Lucchese What difficulty did you play on ? The stats of the demon are the highest of anything in the game and he gets extra backup demons. You also only have 2 Rounds to beat him, because after those 2 rounds he will assume control over Lohse and you will insta-lose the game. (And that was on normal difficulty) Also keep in mind that those people sold their sole to a demon. And we don't know if they would have died anyway after we killed the demon. One interesting part tho. Did we kill Jahan ? I mean hasn't he allied himself with the demon as well ?
@@ИмратКазиев Bulding trust is one thing. But you have to have a high persuasion stat as well, which kinda sucks. But you can always teleport to the lady vengeance and change your stats with the magic mirror.

I finished this fight with magic shell and the blue glow of the magic armor persisted through the entire song, it just made Lohse even more beautiful, adding more flavor to an already emotional scene.
Playing a bard I expected more of this during the campaign, but finally seeing this as a result of ther personal story arc it was just magical. I played it in coop, all 3 of us just stopped and listened, in awe.
Nothing like hearing this surrounded by demon corpses in a blood soaked doctor's offices caked with gore, body parts, viscera, and intestines and a giant demon that is the text book definition of tentacle porn.
Tbh it felt like Lohse was the MC. Fane wasn't even on the fucking loading screen XD! My friend was playing Lohse, and it constantly felt like I was just playing the quirky undead side-kick, lol.
Spoiler for Fane lore: Fane is a member of a race from before the time of the gods, the current races are actually just based on individual members of his race (the gods). He was the one who started the power struggle that eventually destroyed his race and led to the creation of the divinity world as we know it. Oh and Dallas is actually his daughter. So he's oddly enough one of if not the most influential figure in the divinity world.
Finally... I was getting sad that it's already sunday and it's back to work again.. Really wanted to get into that magical world again... Listening to Fantasy bard/tavern music + drawing fantasy or something like that from your head + booze! ... Magical, blissful. This song is finally starting to get me there. :'D

I say the intro song is worth the money for the game. And don't even get me started on the Tavern Brawl fight music/Toyseller Sanders
@@AeonQuasar I'm during my first playtrough right now and I was at Sanders' shop today. I didn't know what to think when first I'm being threatened by the God King... and then he possess some toys which I fight to a joyful music. Seriously, how am I supposed to treat him seriously after this? xD
Wonderfull history
it took me 6 hours to install and don't forget other 4 for downloading, so i'm going to enjoy all i can when plaing
But we kinda moved away from the topic
Okay, here's my own personal experience - sometimes when trying to get to sleep and in this condition of being half-awake and half-asleep I can be awakened by some sudden very short (1-2 seconds) shakes in entire body similar to being electrocuted which makes me change position from lying into sitting very fast.
David shuffett you’ve “literally” cast out demons? So, what, you saw the demon? Are you sure you’re not schizophrenic too?
@@MetalPhantom7 ohhhh. Your an idiot, insane, AND beleive in demons lol. Take your meds and find your way back to the phyc ward before you hurt someone.
Thanks for sharing, beautiful story.
To Anybody claiming they didn't get this song by playing as Lohse, you unlock it after killing the demon possessing her. He should be carrying Lohse's Lute, and if you use it, she'll sing the song.
I guess it was added in an update, so people playing as Lohse before that specific update really couldn't hear the song, until the end credits.
Or you're like my and by curiosity play the lute as soon as you get it and it gets smashed by the demon
@@dormanius thats the wrong lute though, you get the one that plays the song by getting rid of the demon, this one is Lohse's Lute
To Anybody who didn't get this song by playing as Lohse - go and DO IT!
@@dormanius you can repair it later and then she will refuse to play the lute for the rest of the game until you defeat the demon
That! 0:40-1.00. F hell i love her. Lohse was my love and this confirms it, just hear the sound she sings. Abolutely stounding.
Sitting back and listening to this after a harrowing boss fight
Kreett i won't lie. Lohse's arc was the most interesting. It was like juggling her child like conciousness in a harrowing world, hoping against hope something so pure won't slip from your fingers and shatter. The song was worth all the effort.
Kreett or after throwing a fourteen ton box at a guy.
This fight was actually the most emotional one I had. I had played as Sebille and romanced Lohse and Lohse’s dialogue is amazing. During the fight, blood storm and thunderstorm were active and my other two party members had died along with all the other nurses. So it was literally just me, Lohse and the demon. Like I felt emotional during the fight
And then we get this song. Didn’t think I’d cry during this game, but it was worth it
@@proverbialking3452 I prioritized Lohse above all else. If she died, resurrection. Dying? Netherswap her out of, and me into, danger. Sacrificing the souls of people I didn't know to make it easier to free her? Worth it. Would do it again if necessary. Will always listen to this song again and again.

@@Croftice1 You are probably right. I am not familiar with musical terminology, but a quick google search ensured me that "interlude" makes more sense.
I love this song, I almost cried when I heard it in a game - especially because Lohse character is terrifyingly similar to girl I loved back in high school times. Similar personality, similar behaviour, similar voice, similar face (on avatar), similar dark eyes. Only the hair made a difference. You can imagine how stunned I was when I played Divinity Original Sin 2 for the first time
Just finished the game with Lo as my main, still got the song.
Best Divinity moment, worth 100+h of gameplay
I played through this game first as Ifan, I thought decent story I enjoy the path it takes. (I played it as Lone Wolf)
I followed up with Fane, absolutely fantastic story, especially because I took Sebille with me to the end (when I was given Sebille's song for the prince and held that power I thought this game is amazing).
SING YOUR HEART OUT GIRL YOUR FINALLY FREE OF THAT DEMON!
The sheer amount of work and choreography they put into JUST this song and dance animation blew me away. Damn I want this song in MP3 so I can annoy cars next to me with it.
It's on spotify
Got to that part today, had seen this vid before, but when I unlocked it myself it hit differently.
I felt happy getting it, and reward full as hell.
One of my fav moments in the game period.
Lohse's song and Ifan constantly reassuring if you are okay in in his love route really makes they being my favorite characters
Lohse is the character in a videogame my wife said about: "if you walk off with her, I'll have peace with that". Thats how awesome she is.
Moments like these were the reason this was not a game but an epic adventure, a story and an experience worth being repeated.
One of my favorite scenes in the game, favourite lyrics and awesome effects x3
The new edition out in August fixes all your issues. Definitive Edition.
Gangrel Samuel I think you may have just been underleveled
As someone who broke the game without any exploits, this game only needs you to TRULY understand every single gameplay feature.
Never understimate your opponenets or you might peril.
Im after a Honour mode playthrough and let me tell you, mastery in this game truly devides good players vs exceptional players
BTW HydroNecro Undead is faily balanced and doesnt need nerfs whatsoever :^)
The sparks that syncs with the music adds to the smoothness of this song
Best moment in gaming history. Period. I had no idea this was coming. It was a complete surprise. I looted the guy, didn't expect much... but, wait a tick... is that? Oh... ohoh, she... can she play this? Double-click... *mind explodes* I'm crying for the whole thing. AAAAAAAAAAAH! God, I still feel the heat inside after days of not playing. Can you imagine a God who sings like this from the heavens to her worshipers? Ya, sign me up for that religion. I'm sold.
You can't have been around for long then if you think this is the best moment in videogame history. I like the song, it's catchy and it was unexpectable, but nothing will ever compare to Leliana the Nightingale.
@@antonois My only problem with that one was I couldn't understand the dang words so it lost some of it's effect. Still a great moment but I think I like Lohse's moment more.
One of the best moments in game for me. It felt so rewarding seeing her free and sing again, finally she is free.
But..But..Madame Gribbles de Peeb doesn't like to sing! She's deathly allergic!
So many small details and animations just for such a short moment in game, love it. This company knows how to make games, this takes be back to 90s before all the corporations came and ruin games with their 'minimum viable product' philosophies.
Lmao, I wonder if you'd feel that way about their pre original sin games
Another reason why i love murdering demons: you can have some freaking good song for your effort ^^
Supergiant games level awesome song.
Jahan loves you I'm sure 😜
@@TheChiramu Not only loves you, he worships you. Meet Jahan the first worshiper even before ascension.
Just got to this part of the game romancing Lohse. Totally worth it! :)
The lyrics are pretty horrifying considering her story.
holy cow.. -_-
why? please explain
Considering she was possessed by a demon... It really sounds like the demon is speaking here. "Listen do you hear me?" "Sing with me we'll make them bleed", "You are me now !" or "Let's make them scream!". All of those are probably things the demon kept telling her throughout the whole adventure.
Hassan Shahid Makes sense; Lohse did note that it could’ve been the other souls inhabiting her who wrote the lyrics.
Hassan Shahid yep...never noticed..i was just mesmerized by the sudden rock concert.
This whole scene was worth everything in this beautiful game
This was the moment that solidified my love for this game. I already loved this game from the start but hearing this song after the journey she went through just made this game so much more for me, a work of art and of fiction ❤ Man, I love Larian for giving us this masterpiece of a game ❤
Doesn't this make you just feel happy :)
For me, this was the greatest quest closure of any game I have played. Definitely pick Lohse’s character
for game play. DOS2 needs expansion packs for this world like putting Beast back in power the dwarves kingdom.
Loshe's story is the best one in Divinity!
Fucking loved Lohse and her story. Glad I romanced her aswell, was extra sweet when she played this.
Like the Tavern in Act 2 for example as like just background music.
sweet sweet song, the biggest reward in this game so far! (I haven't finished yet) and I can say this game has a place in my heart ❤️ forever
The first time she did this legit made me tear up.
I want something like this in Baldur's gate 3. In fact, it would be amazing to play with a Bard Class, and in a specific moment of the main story we could play a song specially made for the bard origin/class, like Lohse, in our camp, surrounded by our friends, singing for them like Leliana did in Dragon Age Origins.
there is actually! Alfira is a tiefling bard who plays the weeping dawn, which has the same composer as lohse's song!
@@starry65 :O
They just added bard
Sadly as baldurs gate 3 isn't coming to consoles because the game.devs are fools. And no they won't that takes talent.
@@davidhujik3422 it will. one year after the full PC release. it happened to Divinity too
They actually took the time to animate the effects and sync it to the muslic. Friggin love this game. It doesn't quite match Witcher 3 still for lack of amazing dialogue cutscenes but everything else is pretty much on par. Games like this prove that no matter how much they try; EA, Ubisoft, Disney and so on can not ruin the industry as a whole.
No game can match Witcher 3, not even Half Life 3. Divinity Original Sin 2 is 2nd easily tho.
Divinity blows witcher out of the water, so many hours and so many great stories in one game.
Finding out the game’s title screen theme is Lohse’s song. Damn. What a moment.
I just completed her questline tonight and I dont think I’ve ever been so emotional for an NPC questline.
Her song and her freedom made me incredibly happy.
Lohse is definitely best Bard girl
She`s not an Npc xd
Half a year later yeah
This is hands down one of my favorite songs in any game I have ever played. Right up there with Rogue Heart from Dragon Age 2.
I can't believe how many things are in this game...it takes over a hundred hours to finish it if you explore and listen to the dialogue :o
When I first heard this song, I just closed my eyes and imagined all the hours of adventure I had with my party, and it fit perfectly. I can't do a play though without Lohse
This was really amazing moment.
Just coming back from bg3, what an amazing story. I had to come back for this banger, Borislav Slavov its a GENIUS!
Listening to this while the demon's corpse just lay there. Precious moment, to be sure.
My first playthrough with Lohse as main character and I will never regret it.
right before entering the final battle I talked with all my party members (gotta get that sweet sweet dialogue) and I was really surprised to see the option to ask lohse to sing. I was blown away by how beautiful the song was and how powerful it was. its the little things like this that make divinity os 2 such an amazing game.
Be me

-figth starts
-this music plays a long at right time too
-thought it is battle music, "nice I say"
-friend calls me, looks at friend, dude is the one playing
-holy shit this game keeps giving me surprises
So awesome! I hope they include lots of moments like this in Baldur's Gate 3!
And the character model is properly animated for the whole thing. God damn you can feel the soul and effort the devs put into this game.
I don't need items as a reward, this song was more than enough.
My thoughts exactly.
I've never felt more satisfied than helping her with her quest

(And that was on normal difficulty)
Also keep in mind that those people sold their sole to a demon.

MsGers2 it's important for the lore not gameplay don't worry, i killed him too hahah
Spoiler for Fane lore:
Fane is a member of a race from before the time of the gods, the current races are actually just based on individual members of his race (the gods). He was the one who started the power struggle that eventually destroyed his race and led to the creation of the divinity world as we know it.
Oh and Dallas is actually his daughter.
So he's oddly enough one of if not the most influential figure in the divinity world.
