Now 3 yrs single , I went from making 85 k a year to 130 k . Plus, peace of mind that toy cannot add a price tag to. Starting at 47 from zero seemed impossible, well boys...nothing is impossible.

I’m 25 now. Within the last 3 weeks I lost my grandmother, I lost my job and come home everyday to a father whose barely present for geniuene reasons, and a mother who is BPD, a dysfunctional household you could say - arguments and fights happen on a daily basis. On the week my grandmother past away I felt so alone even with my mother, who even in that situation was very self-concered and created arguements with me.
Even with this situation, I still continue to pursue my mission goals, learning how to make money (TRW) and going gym (haven’t been for a few weeks but will start tomorrow).
You have to look at where you are on the chess board, and logically devise a solution or a plan, to move forward. No matter how you feel, it’s how you move forward and continue with your life that counts. Pain makes us stronger men.

Be fully aware that the better you start feeling, with your new mindset, the worse your mother will get, as this new you will be her enemy. Even parents, especially narcissistic ones, thrive on the misery they can create in their own offspring. I agree with 90% of what you are saying. There is a danger however in accepting total ownership of where you find yourself in life. There is such a thing as luck and many successful people admit that even though they worked hard and lined all the ducks up and made the smart choices there were other people along the way who also did the right things but were unlucky. The danger I speak of is self blaming if things go wrong. A person with big dreams ambition and drive that makes all the right choices can crash and burn through unforeseen circumstances that no rational person could see coming. The last thing they should do is blame themselves. Yes sh!t happens, yes life can suck but as you say "that's life", get up and keep moving forward just don't beat yourself up if the cards are against you.

If you think your life sucks, it's AT LEAST 50% due to you making bad life choices. I say that as someone on his 3rd divorce, 51, no kids, and not sure what the point is to the rest of my life without the kids I was trying to make happen. I married women I shouldn't have. I had baggage of my own I didn't deal with for years. I married the second and third ones from being weak, and letting them manipulate me. I LET them do it, out of fear of being alone. My decisions. My consequences. I saw warning signs, and let their tears make me cave and not leave when I should have.

Whenever I pedastalized a woman or chased after her, she ran. When I became too overly emotional or matched her emotions, relationships ended. Honestly, whenever she was pissed off, Id always just have sex with her and that would calm her down. Problem was I got cockblocked by a fertility doctor and was told I couldnt have sex with my wife when she was freaking out on fertility drugs. Was messed up.

My knowledge of power tools, and skill in their use, has always been a topic of family discussions, partially due to the fact that I've always been told that I was too attractive to be juggling chainsaws.

Not everything is your fault, I don't agree here, and the part where you say that there are millions of people who would happily trade their lives for that person's it's an ego selfish statement, some say it I get it. Each one of us was born in a certain situation, environment, and from certain parents without having any control over it. There are people who were more lucky in life than others without having to earn it or do the extra work to achieve it, or the other way around, life is unfair. I have personally experienced people who had everything easier than me from the start, even if a lot of them fucked up their lives later or made mistakes that I couldn't afford to make and still be in a better situation than I was, and none of them was better in terms of skill set than me or being able take the pain that I had to face in my life. However I never got jealous or wanted to trade my place for there's, never. So I believe that it's best for each one of us (especially for men) to first realize the current situation there are in, where you want to get and start building on that. Learn from your mistakes but also learn to observe the mistakes others did and learn from there as well. Life is a never ending learning process until the very end, and remember the gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.

A lot of addicts play a victim card with the people around them. I see it as being used in two ways.
    1) To find justification by rationalizing in themselves their poor choice.
    2) In today's society it's effective for getting a certain number of people to feel sorry for them which gains their support which aids the addict in continuing on course. It allows for shifting the blame to something outside themselves, something that no one has any control over.

Back in the days of WWI & WWII, when men were sent overseas to defend our country, young men were left to be raised by the women and mothers left behind. Being exposed to the majority female character traits, with some of its peculiarities, lacking masculinity and the father figure that would have otherwise been the proper example for them. This led to a "conditioning effect" on young boys and men, where a woman's demands and teachings were a condition to be met, should they ever expect peace and acceptance.
It saddens me that these young men had the misfortune of growing up without the male figure in their lives, and void of the masculinity that's necessary to shape their emotional maturity.

A lot of life can be fight or flight. We have all messed up that is reality. It is how we deal with adversity in life and our decision making. I would also add chasing happiness brings misery as in relying on someone else to make you happy. You need pain and suffering to understand what happiness is as well.

  • @octaviosalazar1231

Don’t throw away your suffering. Touch your suffering. Face it directly, and your joy will become deeper. You know that suffering and joy are both impermanent. Learn the art of cultivating joy. Practice like this, and you come to the third turning of the Third Noble Truth, the “Realization” that suffering and happiness are not two. When you reach this stage, your joy is no longer fragile. It is true joy

Agreed Rich. I got divorced at 40. Now 5 years later I am in the best shape of my life. Have more money than ever. I date women 10 to 15 years younger than me. I have a great time. I considered offing myself when I first broke up. Then I joined a crossfit gym and started hitting it hard 6 times a week. I used my anger to motivate me until it became a habit. Take responsibility and get on with it. No one cares about your problems.

Certainly the number is in the millions of people who would love your life just by the virtue of you living in the US/Canada alone, no matter your income. People do not respect how difficult life was and what it took for MAN to create modern civilization, and all the technology and infrastructure that makes living on earth easier, and actually enjoyable. You have useless protestors complaining about capitalism and how they would do it differently but no system comes close to the success capitalism has incentivized. It takes HARD WORK, it takes energy from man to make and maintain our society, and with that you have to have MOTIVATION to do it.
We stand on the shoulders of giants whos hard work and sacrifice let us live the lives we have today. Its not perfect, its not a utopia, but its damn good considering how harsh and difficult life is to tame. So many take this for granted. Perspective is so important. It doesn't mean you can't wish for more...

Let's put it this way: you're talking about how you had scars on your face because of an accident with a skateboard.
Somewhere in the world there is some dead kid because he was playing on a field and he stepped on a mine of an unmarked minefield and now his friends can't fucking pick up the pieces lest they die too.
Just came back from the store and I had problems because I don't know what to eat and I had a recollection of a guy who I met at a convenience store at 4 or 5 am and he looked so desperate, completely covered in dirt and I realized he was waiting for the cashier to bring him what he ordered: a pack of tortillas and beans. Guy told me it was his first meal in 3 or 4 days at that he had just collected enough plastic bottles to have something to eat.
I've never seen poverty like that before.
I didn't know what to do, I froze.
He didn't had enough money but the guy in the store said "take them anyway" I told him after the other guy left that I would pay for that stuff but it never ocurred to me to offer the plastic bottle guy anything...I was that shocked.
    Anyway...problems? I got 99 of them
