This is a marvellously evocative journey, rebuilding lost stations and seeing the landscape changes. I particularly like the fact that wearing headphones brings the sounds of the clattering train to life, the sounds even change through open areas and curbing’s and through wetlands the bird sounds and bridge crossings, even the tunnel. Amazing how much engineering has changed and built in only 100 years or so. Reservoirs and river course changes. Population shifts in some areas were surprising. I think this would help school children to see how towns develop and change the landscape. I had chills at some points. Excellent.
Excellent. I was borne in Peterboough and although I dont think I ever travelled that route I did used to take the train from Leicester. Thank you for your effort brilliant
This is quite brilliant. It particularly pulls at the heart strings of an old (81 yrs) trainspotter who left Northampton in 1961 & left the UK in 1965. Saved to view at length in the future. Thank you for the effort to put this together.
Drivers at March depot, used to work trains to Rugby, wonder if it was via this route as I never thought to ask one which route they took, another unusual place was Colchester, what year did they cease the workings from March?

Thanks Chris. Got many other lines planned feel free to watch my other films!
Fantastic. My first view of these, going to look for Kings Lynn to Hunstanton.
Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/llES6BRGE_U/видео.html
If this line still existed I bet it'll be well used. Other parts, like Wisbech as well still are suffering to this day without a station.
Truly wonderful ..well done !
Thanks Michael feel free to subscribe and share my other films!
Bet there were great school specials at Oundle
So many stations with no pictorial record, very sad.
There probably are pictures however I avoid ones with copyright issues
