For the liqufiy, I also thought that was the liqufiy, but it's actually a brush with blue arrows. Also right click to get a circle that contains your brush, you can make a tag for your fav brush instead of scrolling and finding it. If you go to window, workspace, you can save the workspace you changed, and you can also enter the animation workspace, it's actually really good once you take the time to dig deeper. Amazing drawing btw.
As someone who often uses Krita there are similar effects to add glow but in this case you need to duplicate the highlight layer Bottom highlight with Color of choice: Color Burn Top highlight: Addition or Screen
Been using krita for around 2 years now, and it's the only program that I actually enjoy using (I would love to test out more programs, but most are expensive and im broke). But its cool to see more people finding out about it, because for a free program its honestly amazing!
There is actually a smudge tool in Krita (8, actually) but they're called "blenders" (with the exception of the water color one, "WaterC Water-Pattern)
You can customize your layout however you like using the dockers under settings. and can save it in the workspace (either the weird box thing in the top left, or under window) And when it comes to layer effects, there is a huge drop down menu, the ones at the top are the favorited ones, (it borrows effects from Sai and photoshop) and under the lighten drop down there is the Luminosity/shine (SAI) layer effect, that's the best one for the lighting and most like the ones people use in other programs. hope this helps
I've used krita and it's pretty good but the colors kept darkening on the last pc I used. It doesn't happen now though :) although I do prefer sketchbook autodesk over krita it cost money now and my best option now is krita. The blending tools are excellent and the brush selection is very wide! I love the way the airbrush tool looks too. It's very hard to find an airbrush tool that actually looks good in a free program. Fire alpaca was my go to for a while until I saw the airbrush on krita and then I saw the blending tools and switched over. For mobile I think sketchdesk is the best free app though, it cost money on pc but not on mobile and it has excellent brush selection too! The blending tool isn't as good as kritas though but the airbrush is!
ai art prompt: ocean princess warrior riding a seahorse through the waves surrounded by sea creatures as for krita tips, you can alter your workspace based on the tools you use the most, there's also a workspace for animation if ur interested! you can also add filters to individual layers which really helped me with the visuals of my own drawings, also if ur working with an imported lineart/sketch with a white background, you can remove it by selecting the layer, going to filters > color > color to alpha. hope this helps! :D
As a teenager who cannot afford digital apps for drawing, Kirita was the best solution for that problem. It simple, easy to use. AI art prompt: fishes in the moonlight.
for the location of the tools on your workspace, it's really easy to move them around until you find a setup you like. You just click and drag the tool window you want to move. And there are smudge tools, but they all kinda suck so...
I'm so happy this video came up on my recommendations! I love your art style! A prompt I can think of is a mermaid seeing the stars for the first time. It's not much of an interesting prompt but i'd love to see how it would look like in your in style and if ai can express it well! another one i can think of is a dinosaur stargazing!!
The prompt I'd like to give is to draw your favourite sweet dish as a person. By the way, I've recently started watching your videos and I love how funny and informative this channel is. I had started using Krita but given up. Now I think I'll start again. 😊😊
krita ueser ] lliqify is a brush ( i saw someone elce comment it so i see you know that already ) but all smuge prushes are white and blue , as for the hot keys you can change it BUT the deselect by clicking off of the area as for the Add glow its just called glow in krita
I've been using krita since 2017-2018 and it's been amazing for me. The liquify tool /can/ be laggy but from what I've come to understand, it is usually in relation to the canvas size and the scale of the selection. If you're using a smaller size or lasso tool what you want to liquify, it's not laggy at all!
me seeing the sketch: althaitham? me seeing the reference: not althaitham? me looking and althaitham official art compaired with the line art: *althaitham*
for the AI propmt i think itd be funny to do those weird phrases like: "you mean to tell me a shrimp fried this rice??" or "apartment "complex"? i find it rather simple actually" or "the bird flu? yea they're supposed to do that" itd be entertaining to see if the AI understands the phrases or the words when you type it in as a question
As someone who's new to Krita ngl its a bit wonky especially if you're used to the layout in Medibang paint. But so far I can say that the art program is convenient & is such a godsend for artists who don't want/can't pay for paid drawing programs. Also for a prompt(if this is still ongoing) I guess I imagine a wolf forest spirit watching as a castle/kingdom in the forest burns down
@@fungzau Oh if you ever want to try Medibang I 100% can vouch that its an awesome app. Its beginner friendly plus nice brushes (you can even download/duplicate more) Hence why I sort of struggled with Krita and Clip Studio Paint I guess, cuz it looks like a professional program compared to the one I'm used to where you can just see the tools in semi big(?) Icons/words HAHAHAHAHA
A prompt for IA would be a character whatever woman or man coming out of the water putting his hair behind with hands like finger comb idk and lotus all over the water
Prompt: A man with a round aquarium on his head, his expression sinking, and there are many planets and fish outside the aquarium. Prompt: Laki-laki dengan aquarium bulat di kepalanya, ekspresinya seperti tenggelam, dan di luar aquarium itu ada banyak planet dan ikan-ikan.
I think a cool AI prompt would be a novel character. I think by using the descriptions given to us to describe the character is a fun way to try and see how the character would look like aside from your imagination.
Hmm my prompt for the ai art is , Wednesday Adams in a fairy form with colourful and bright clothing and look, and she's riding a big cute piggy and laughing OFC lol and rainbows and all those lovely stuffs in the background
First of all, your art is great, I've been using krita for almost a month and I find it impossible to compare myself to your style, thanks for the tips and the video, and... for AL art, "papaya having a deep conversation with a pineapple while playing chess" or "angel playing chess with a devil"
I know I’m entering the giveaway after 3 weeks 😂 cause I saw ur channel like one hour ago😅 but I have to say, I searched everywhere for digital art but nothing is like ur videos so I’m so happy that I found ur channel 🎉❤

I can't believe, I gonna have krita for 2 years soon! cuz when I first use this! I was tried to use on fnf but I didn't do it then after get my digital tablet I actually having a lot fun of Krita :D
As a traditional artist that cant afford a drawing tablet, thank you so much for the giveaway!! idk if i can still participate in it but my prompt is Shakira fighting with a shark. Wishing all the best to everyone:)
I don't draw digital too much, I'm trying out Krita, but at times it can be overwhelming, all the posibilities. Prompt... Girl character with (your favorite) animal hoodie drawing her favorite animal on a drawing tablet :D
My prompt would be a Japanese schoolgirl holding hands with a witch on a rainy day while the witch has an umbrella and on her shoulder, there is a black cat while the schoolgirl carries a school bag. the scene would be a typical Japanese street I think it would be interesting to see it 🌟🌟

hehe my prompt is: flat hammerhead shark with legs. ( I've been dying to get an xp pentab and i can finally take this opportunity 🤞🤞. im very grateful for everything though, and i really love your art tips and the way you draw😍!! it really helped improve alot!!>
My prompt for AI art would be: 1. A bunch of wealthy/powerful shadows over a small poor kid in a wealthy setting. The kid would be looking up and the shadows would be smiling. 2. The hero of a fantasy setting rising up towards a demon enemy 3. A ethereal setting surrounding a dying soldier Thanks for reading my ideas for AI art
Here’s a prompt: A cute dragon girl with slapping slimes with her tail Also I use Krita and for anyone wanting to get into digital art but broke I recommend it
prompt for ai art : a fishman who visits an underwater amusement park Since using ibis paint on a laptop and it's a trial 😀 so I want to try switching to an application that can be used by a laptop, at first I wanted to try csp, but it's paid. I think krita could be a good option, given it's free. Everyone wants a free application with good performance, including me😁😁
prompt for ai art: a turtle swimming through a coral reef krita is really good, simple interface, straight to the point, i use it for all of my art and i really love it
ai art prompt: cream coloured guy with potato ears, fries hair, potato chip- eyes, and potato salad nose...and a salted potato t shirt with some spiral potato piercing in the ear......and dont forget the spices..and the cheese!!!! I've always been a medibang user and whenever I used other art programs like krita, I get so confused with all the brush options to choose from so this video is really relatable. Also AI art prompt: a happy doggo with a top hat
As a math teacher who value the process most, I don't like Ai art. Because I think it's a cheat. In my opinion, art is not just a result, it's about how you struggle to make an artwork. And I appreciate every little effort they took to make an artwork.
I think one of the best prompts I've ever done was 'Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison rap battle'. Back then, this whole AI art thing was quite new, so the results weren't too good...I wonder what it would look like now ^^
a funny (but slightly dark) prompt for ai art would be frogs making boba tea but out of frog eggs lol. I've seen some artist renditions but it'd be funny to see an ai's version of it
I haven't used Krita yet, but based on the comments I am looking forward to it now that I am on vacation for the next 2 weeks. AI prompt: A thief hanging upside down stealing a jewel from a display piece inside a museum
prompt for ai art: bees with tophats having a discussion with a mantis My friend uses krita whenever they want to draw something, because of that i also wanted to use it but paint tool sai feels far better for me
For the AI art prompt I think maybe- A hamster In a chicken suit eating mcnuggets on top of a horse in Texas!( The hamster is like a cowboy chicken or something like that)
Ahh i love your art style sm! Alsoo i think a funny prompt for the AI art would be "A lizard flower dragon having tea with a butterfly" (Idk thats so random lol srry)
After watching this video, I want to try out Krita now, I didn't even know it existed lol. For an AI prompt, I think that a panda parasailing while taking selfies would be cool, or an ostrich going down a catwalk with 7-inch stilettos.
A cool AI prompt would be using your favorite song lyric or describing your favorite picture to make a drawing. Thanks for the video!!!! (Unfortunately I don't have social medias😮💨)
My cringy prompt would be "baby yoda laying on the back of dolphin swimming into the brighter future" Very exiting to see you use krita my favorite drawing software.
My prompt for ai art is A green character with a blue swivelled horn. They are wearing a black cloak like garment sitting on the back of a large blue tortoise. They gaze onto a icy desert landscape.

Oh wow this is really helpful! Thanks! Yep need to explore the app more to get the most of it, I just went straight to drawing lol 😂
That's wrong, the real liquify is under the tool options of the Move tool
Hi, Krita user here :)
For the smudge tools there are a couple but I personally use Blender Blur and Blender Basic under 'Digital'
Ahh thank you so much! Will try those when I use krita again! Thanks for the tip! ❤️
As someone who often uses Krita there are similar effects to add glow but in this case you need to duplicate the highlight layer
Bottom highlight with Color of choice: Color Burn
Top highlight: Addition or Screen
I use Krita all the time. Once you get used to it, it gets easier and easier.
If you can't find the smudge tool, it looks like a Q-tip

I'm totally addicted to your english it sounds so cute
If you didn't know a shortcut for rotating canvas, it's the number 2 - 6 and you can use M to flip the canvas horizontally =D

book characters!! I think making a new character would be SUPER fun!!
I always found portals to be interestingly done by AI so I think that can be a cool idea to try out!

Prompt: mermaid swimming with sea turtles in Atlantis
It’s amazing how you can use whatever drawing program and still be able to do your magic
krita is better than photoshop and is an alternative to clip studio paint, because it has tools that I have not seen that photoshop has:
-More than 30 blend modes
-With the reference tool (which has the shape of a thumbtack), in the tool options, you can load reference images on the canvas, without having to download external apps such as pureref.
-With the color mask tool, in tool options, you can do something similar to what Clip Studio Paint does with the reference layer (the lighthouse icon), which is basically an automatic color. The difference is that Krita paints with flat color only, and CSP with gradient colors.
-It has a perspective guide tool called "assistant", when you create your vanishing points and pick up the brush again, in the brush tool options you can check "adjust to assistants" to create perfect lines that follow the lines of perspective.
-In tool options you can modify the range of the paint jar to fill it perfectly without leaving a white border.
-About the liquify tool, I think it's a small bug, I've solved it by clipping to another layer and then going back to the one I want to modify, anyway I've seen many tips and tutorials on how to improve Krita's performance, which they have worked for me. If you miss photoshop's liquify function that shrinks or expands, these can be found as brushes in the "digital" brushes category.

Also AI art prompt: a happy doggo with a top hat
I just thought of the most random concept for AI prompt- turtle wearing sunglasses riding a goldfish in the middle of the desert

Still lags and animation window won't work.

My friend uses krita whenever they want to draw something, because of that i also wanted to use it but paint tool sai feels far better for me
For the AI art prompt I think maybe-
A hamster In a chicken suit eating mcnuggets on top of a horse in Texas!( The hamster is like a cowboy chicken or something like that)
I see Alhaitham I click
Exactly
Ahh i love your art style sm! Alsoo i think a funny prompt for the AI art would be "A lizard flower dragon having tea with a butterfly" (Idk thats so random lol srry)
6:33 I use it and it's cool
After watching this video, I want to try out Krita now, I didn't even know it existed lol. For an AI prompt, I think that a panda parasailing while taking selfies would be cool, or an ostrich going down a catwalk with 7-inch stilettos.
My prompt is a cat with their eyes closed looking up in a rain ❤️
Ai: Fairy flies towards Mordor on a vacuum cleaner.
I Love ur videos, they helps me to learn drawing in Clip Studio Paint
prompt - cat pumpkin gathering mushrooms with oven toaster
A cool AI prompt would be using your favorite song lyric or describing your favorite picture to make a drawing. Thanks for the video!!!! (Unfortunately I don't have social medias😮💨)
You also can draw in krita on samsung tabs
I think a cool ai prompt would be a bamboo village in a giant picnic basket
I totally clicked on the video because I want to learn more about Krita and not because of the thumbnail
My cringy prompt would be "baby yoda laying on the back of dolphin swimming into the brighter future"
Very exiting to see you use krita my favorite drawing software.
I think a good Ai prompt would be, the grim reaper on his horse following an army of soldiers into battle as a dark omen of war
My prompt for ai art is
A green character with a blue swivelled horn. They are wearing a black cloak like garment sitting on the back of a large blue tortoise. They gaze onto a icy desert landscape.
Honestly now i just want to draw that
