Please never change Octy, I absolutely love your style of comedy and this one had me in tears, that last Pikachu/Jackie Chan monstrosity was incredible. Thanks for the vid
Every single one of those cut-price Pokemon look like they've just realised that they're not the real one and the knowledge is devouring their souls from the inside.
Eesh, those knock offs look terrible. Though the Jackie Chan one made me laugh out loud. Loved the pokemon song at the end, too. Forgot how clear you sound when you sing.
You're quickly becoming one of my favorite video game channels. Also, as a Nintendo fan since the mid-late 90's, your commentary at 01:55 was just... Spot on. It's funny because it's absolutely true.
I particularly enjoyed that, at 14:38, the sprite changes when the character gets in the frog suit thing but the lazy hackers clearly didn't bother changing out Little Nemo in that one so Sandshrew/Rhydon randomly turns into a little boy in a frog costume.
8:58 it’s what is now known as a regional variant. The name of the evolution is Cleforis. It’s mistakenly believed to be a rare or nonexistent pokemon because some trainers have difficulty finding it.
8:50 Ah, finally I have some useful knowledge to contribute! The attack you're looking for is "Clam Slam!" :D Apparently that's the vaggy version of teabagging *shrug*
Thanks, after the day I had at work, I needed a laugh! Although I might not think it was so funny after I find out what tonight's dreams have in store for me.
That was so funny. As a child of the 70's, I know nothing about Pokemon, But even I can tell there's something wrong with these games. LOL. BTW, Great song at the end. :)
Imagine being a kid getting one of these games and enjoying it, because it's just a sprite hack of a good game. Then you try to explain it to your Pokemon-loving friends, who have no idea what you're talking about. "You know, Pikachu's bag that he uses to carry around his boxing glove?"
Oho, methinks the lady doth protest the Pokesex too much. (Sorry I had to after you mentioned it. Great vid, so funny! And what a singing voice, I love it.)
Little Nemo could have actually been a great Pokemon hack: just replace nemo with a pokemon trainer, change the candy to pokeballs, and redraw the animal helpers into appropriate pokemon.
Bootleg cartridges have those Direct To Flea Market quality that has surely bamboozled many an unwitting adult who would think Goku is in Pokemon, and destroyed the faith in humanity of many a child. Also I love the rat babies, they should definitely feature more often🥺🐀😻🐀
Octy made a channel for rats - Octavius Rats - but it died in the water after the first - and only - video received many negative comments. The vid's comment-section is now disabled.
That "Blastoise" looked like Huckleberry Hound is having a bad day. Until you said it waas Wacky Races I thought it might have been a Yogi's Treasure Hunt game
I was like 16 or 17 when the pokémon cartoon premiered. I was never super into it, but now my 6 year old is a pokémon fanatic so I play Pokémon Go with him. It's good for bonding and it never hurts to get a little exercise.
You're right about the bonding...I too was in my teens when Pokémon came out, but my nephew's were well into it so I learned to play when babysitting them...They loved how their uncle could rhyme all the Pokémon off..Happy days 😁🏴
Well, I've seen plenty of terrifying drawings of Pokemon, but nothing could've prepared me for that cursed demonic Eevee. Guess now I know what creatue will drag my soul to hell.
When I was a kid, I was crazy about Pokémon. I probably have hundreds of hours logged in Red/Blue alone. I started with Bulbasaur. By the end of the game, I had Venusaur, Mewtwo, Gyarados, and the legendary birds, all level 100. Thank the Missing No. glitch for that; I'd use that to clone hundreds of Rare Candies and Master Balls, then feed my Pokémon those Rare Candies to level them up. The Elite Four? Glassed them. Gary? One-shotted all his Pokémon. Those rats are so cute!
OMG! I actually had the Green one as a kid. I'm from the Baltics, grew up on 90-ties and we had only bootleg stuff here then. Nothing oridinal until 2000's. We had pokemon though so I knew it was shite BUT, but never the less it was one of my most favorite games. I did bought it myself with my saved up money and hoped it would be an actual pokemon game (by that meaning.. at least something with pokemon IN it). After the hearbreak of first starting it passed, I spend hours on it.
"Scrambling for ideas for new pokemon" Stunfisk and the Ice Cream cone. If you'd included a Garbodor you'd be 3/3 for my favorite Black and White pokemon.
Fantastic video, Octie I always find these kinds of bootleg videos kinda fascinating xD They're like forbidden rotten fruit... like wine xD I'm guessing Famiclone bootleg games weren't much of a thing for most of us here in Europe back in the late 90s/early 00s tho. I mostly remember Pokémon bootlegs to be Game Boy based for the most part. Usually just a sprite swap of either some Looney Tunes games or Smurfs games. There was this kid that had one called Pokémon Gogo that I remember catching my eyes back in elementary. One really cool memory I have of a bootleg Pokémon game was actually a rather cool one that almost sounds a little like the beginning of a creepypasta. It was back in '99 when my family visited London. After we had visited the big multi-story arcade at Trocadero we went to Chinatown to eat which was just in the area. But on the other side of the restaurant, there was this weird little store that sold all kinds of strange little knick-knacks. One of them being this new Pokémon game I had never seen before. It was in fact a multi-card of both Pokémon Gold AND Silver on a single cart where you could switch between them. It wasn't really a hack or anything though. It was in fact the full and complete games which were still like a full year away from release in the west. So you can probably imagine the excitement, being an 11-year-old kid that had this brand new Pokémon game that nobody else would have access to for months. The only problem was that the game was in Japanese which made it a huge pain to make progress in but I didn't care. I had a brand new Pokémon game that had so much new stuff in it compared to the original. There were colors, new pokemon, day and night cycles, and a much more streamlined and user-friendly design. It was perfect. And I actually did manage to brute force my whole way through the game despite the language barrier. But to be frank, I didn't really speak any English back then so even the normal games had a bit of a language barrier to them. But at least those used Latin letters. Hmm. I guess this story didn't really have THAT much to do with bootleg Pokémon games. Oh well.
Thanks again to our favourite video gama masochist for playing through so much garbage and entertaining us greatly with it. Thank you so much Octy, you are great!
I remember as a kid there was a toys r us near me, but there was a little shop next to it called hello kitty, and they would sell pokemon cards. But one day, Yu-Gi-Oh came out. I remember going to the shop that day to buy pokemon cards, then I see a bunch of kids with Yu-Gi-Oh cards, specifically Yugi's starter deck. They would sell packs too. But I was like what's going on, I wanted Yu-Gi-Oh cards instead, but my dad said I came for pokemon cards so I ended getting pokemon packs haha
Please never change Octy, I absolutely love your style of comedy and this one had me in tears, that last Pikachu/Jackie Chan monstrosity was incredible. Thanks for the vid
I have to say that Sarah's singing voice is bloomin' astounding!
Yeah, she does have a set of lungs on her. No, but seriously, she has a great voice!
"Nostalgia -- the only thing keeping me going" --
That is my new life motto. Its so true. Bravo!
Every single one of those cut-price Pokemon look like they've just realised that they're not the real one and the knowledge is devouring their souls from the inside.
Living off borrowed time the clock ticks faster, This time they finally knock off Dic Dastardly and Muttley with his sick laughter
Love to see you still dishing out the content.
I really enjoyed this one, the song was a nice surprise 😂 keep em coming
The "Pokemon Green" cover art triggered a hacking round of Covid laugh-coughing. Well played. Edit - shit got to Golden not againnnn
Never disappointed when you upload. Enjoyed the song at the end!
Your writing and your delivery makes me giggle. I can ask for no more.
'Slit slap' and 'Engulf' need to be a thing 😂
Eesh, those knock offs look terrible. Though the Jackie Chan one made me laugh out loud.
Loved the pokemon song at the end, too. Forgot how clear you sound when you sing.
I've just discovered this channel and I'm loving it! Your dry humour had me doubled over laughing 🤣🤣🤣
She streams on twitch as well!
I am just a simple spaniard: I see a new video from Octavius King, and automatically give a Like.
Your videos are so good. The quality of the script, the jokes, the topics , the editing are all spot on. Keep up the good work Octavius.
The Golden one's cover is golden. Amazing. Pure art.
I wanna see it in the Guggenheim.
“Slit slap!” I literally dropped my fricking iPad I laughed so hard!!!
Ikr
me too lol
I think my neighbors could hear me laughing at that!
My first thought was Legend of Dragoon's "Demon's Gate". ...It's too late for me, save yourselves.
Said it before and will say it again….PLEASE GIVE THIS GIRL A TV SHOW……Awesome as always Sarah. Hope you’re well and staying safe
You're quickly becoming one of my favorite video game channels.
Also, as a Nintendo fan since the mid-late 90's, your commentary at 01:55 was just... Spot on. It's funny because it's absolutely true.
17:36 - LOL!!! Ahem. Yes, I am easily entertained. Oh, great song at the end! :D
OMG...was listening to the vid while playing a game...had to pause and click back to the vid when you were singing. Loved it.
I've had one of the worst weeks of my life, but your video helped me feel normal for a little bit... you do good work lol! keep up the good work!
I particularly enjoyed that, at 14:38, the sprite changes when the character gets in the frog suit thing but the lazy hackers clearly didn't bother changing out Little Nemo in that one so Sandshrew/Rhydon randomly turns into a little boy in a frog costume.
Absolutely brilliant. Thoroughly entertaining, your work never disappoints and lovely to hear you sing again.
I laughed out loud at the little vehicles on the title screen of the 'Pokemon Blue' - They are the competitors from the cartoon show, 'Wacky Races'.
8:58 it’s what is now known as a regional variant. The name of the evolution is Cleforis. It’s mistakenly believed to be a rare or nonexistent pokemon because some trainers have difficulty finding it.
"Cameltoe slit slap" sounds like it's straight out of a Go Nagai manga. 🤣
8:50 Ah, finally I have some useful knowledge to contribute! The attack you're looking for is "Clam Slam!" :D
Apparently that's the vaggy version of teabagging *shrug*
DOn't kid yourself, that cover at the end was great! :D
Yayy a long Octavius video Just what i needed, thanks I'm so excited to watch it!
Dick Dastardly punching the orange "blastoise" in the face killed me
Thanks, after the day I had at work, I needed a laugh! Although I might not think it was so funny after I find out what tonight's dreams have in store for me.
I love the song at the end, you've got a great singing voice
The song at the end made this video worth watching. Plus those are some bloody cute rats
Loved the video made me laugh at a time I really needed it. Song at the end was great.
That was so funny. As a child of the 70's, I know nothing about Pokemon, But even I can tell there's something wrong with these games. LOL.
BTW, Great song at the end. :)
2:56 you best be joking. And not actually thinking red and Ash are the same
Imagine being a kid getting one of these games and enjoying it, because it's just a sprite hack of a good game. Then you try to explain it to your Pokemon-loving friends, who have no idea what you're talking about. "You know, Pikachu's bag that he uses to carry around his boxing glove?"

18:45 Dear lord, that Pikachu seems like he's channeling Jigsaw's puppet, Billy, from the Saw movies.
entertaining as always. the tune was.... interesting rofl. keep it up!
Not sure how I hadn't found the channel until recently. Definitely subd!

How do you poke him onto a bus? You pikachu.
No, wait. Shit.
A: Hey child, I got you Pokémon games for Christmas!
B: Waaaaaaa-
When you wanna play Pokémon Gold but the cartridge is just a Ditto having an existential crisis and transforms into Eevee
The world is a better place with your comedy genius in it. The way this world seems to be now, it badly needs it.
Just found this channel like a week ago...funny as all hell.
This video has had me cackling like a madman. Thank you Octavius!
that Eevee bootleg was so lazily made that they couldn't be arsed to change the character's name from Jerry to Eevee! just look at the HUD at 10:19!!
Haha that Blastoise looks EXACTLY like the Hanna Barbera* (I think) cartoon dog "huckleberry hound" 😂
I don't even need a RUclips video to look at it, I have one sitting literally 2 feet to my right. But I will watch the video before staring at it.
So glad to have found your channel today! You're hilarious! Also, your rats are adorable! Makes me miss keeping them myself!
that Eevee on the cartridge art reminded me of a homestar runner bit about knock-off character art needing a human nose lol
Sainsbury's Finest! I too enjoy the finest range in the various supermarches! 😂🤜🏽 Aldi's Finest or an "Aldi Special" is the current fave.
Was hoping for a cameo from that full version of pokemon yellow that was ported to NES lol. Great video
Ngl, I want a physical copy of Golden, specifically so I can display it, and make people uncomfortable for going through my game collection.
I love how they were too lazy to replace the profile picture of Plucky Duck in the hud. That would take all of two seconds.
At least that Cleffairy can camuflage, that is something Pokemon didn't think of...
Glad to have you back , looking more feisty lately
That was fun. The Pikachu at the end looked more like the Jigsaw doll than a Pikachu.
Have not smiled this much watching a RUclips video since one of your “adult “ famicon games...
Omg that give me a couple years line killed me
Barve Boy Pocket Pokechu is nightmare fuel 😨
That "Blastoise" looked like Huckleberry Hound is having a bad day. Until you said it waas Wacky Races I thought it might have been a Yogi's Treasure Hunt game

"That was utter balls. Look a rat!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well, I've seen plenty of terrifying drawings of Pokemon, but nothing could've prepared me for that cursed demonic Eevee. Guess now I know what creatue will drag my soul to hell.
This! the internet holds many a deranged drawing of anything and everything you love into something terribly worrying xD
The content we deserve! Thanks Octavius!!!!!

Great video. Thanks! Laughed so much. Blastoise reminded me of Homer Simpson in a bear suit.
That Golden game's face forward frame just reminds me of Red from that Godzilla: King of the Monsters Creepypasta game.
OMG! I actually had the Green one as a kid. I'm from the Baltics, grew up on 90-ties and we had only bootleg stuff here then. Nothing oridinal until 2000's. We had pokemon though so I knew it was shite BUT, but never the less it was one of my most favorite games.

More content like this, please! This is wonderful!!
The ending song is awesome!
4:45 that blastoise looks like Homer Simpson and I can't unseeded it
*Clefairy used Engulf. It was...something.*
This is incredible. That sexy Pikachu was too much. haha
Sees new Octavius video.. clicks immediately… never disappointed 😁
Love you Octav1us x
I want Look A Rat on Spotify right now.
"Scrambling for ideas for new pokemon"
Stunfisk and the Ice Cream cone. If you'd included a Garbodor you'd be 3/3 for my favorite Black and White pokemon.
that song at the end POG
Omg, I totally forgot about whacky races - I loved that game as a kid!
Good to see a new video from you I have subscribed
I'm going on a spree of watching your videos instead of what I'm supposed to be doing, wheeee!
"Even your dad knows this is a pikachu"
My dad's dead, he doesn't know shit anymore, lol.
10.25 awww it's pennywise in Pokemon and I don't want my boat back
That Sandshrew looks like the monster from The Host, i keep expecting him to snatch a kid and runaway
That's Hypno's job.
Great work, again!
That Sandshrew one was actually Little Nemo the Dreammaster, lol.
i remember learning the word engulf when playing secret of manna that special attack was super effective on my funny bone
Fantastic video, Octie

9:19 my body dysmorphia: "u look exactly like this"

What a great video. I'm so glad I've found your page. So very entertaining
"Look, a rat!"
Pokémon in a nutshell. 😂
