Here’s what I think is going on with the sweeter bar. It’s the quinoa. It’s complimenting the chocolate and sugar. When not properly prepared it can have a bitter and soapy taste. I was wondering how the ingredients were produced and I couldn't find anything about that on feastables webbsite. The fact that the ingredients are organic is good but it doesn't say anything about the working conditions or how much (or little) they pay the workers that pick and produce those ingredients. That is hugely important for people to know and anyone that cares about where their food comes from are aware that many, if not most, big chocolate/cocoa producers and companies use or have in the past used slave labour (including children) or something very very close to slave labour to pick/produce ingredients. This is such common knowledge and it makes the fact that I can't find anything about how and where the chocolate and its components is made/picked even weirder. I feel like since they don't try to push it in our faces they either don't care to know or check up on the conditions of where their ingredients come from or they know the ingredients come from an unethical source and they just hope no one cares enough to ask. If they used ethically sourced ingredients you know they would have marketed the hell out of it, or am I just too cynical? On a sweeter note, if you want to try some nice chocolate that comes from a company that is transparent and that are trying to do actual good in the world, check out Tony's Chocolonely. Hey, idk if you read comments (esp. ones that are 2 days late), but your tooth sensitivity to sweetness is probably root exposure. That's when either the gum tissue or tooth enamel has been worn down from hard brushing, bacteria, etc. so the root has lost some of its protection. It's definitely not an emergency early on, but definitely see a dentist and baby your teeth for a little while.
As am FYI. the bars are 60g which is way less than regular 100g bars. They claim they have simple ingredients and use organic cocoa beans. They also dont use any artificial sweeteners. All of this together I believe does make it a great alternative because it doesnt contain those weird additives in cheaper chocolate, but the price point is rather steep (in canada, 100g non-organic bars go between 1-5$ CAD)
Others in the comments section also mentioned that it was hard to find where the chocolate was sourced from. Apparently they are Rainforest Alliance certified but people have pointed out that RA hasn’t been great about actually protecting people. As a baker it always sparks ao much joy when I hear people talking about bread! Its the little things. :)
i used to get these chocolate bars with beef jerky in them, haven't seen them lately. the beef jerky was pretty finely ground so it wasn't much of a textural thing, some noticeable bits here and there but not chunks or anything. the smoky saltiness of the jerky went really well with the sweetness of the chocolate. really good.
Ive had chocolate bars with bacon in them and had a very similar experience to yours. Loved it a lot
If you like stuff like that id recommend hammonds chocolate bars. So good!
The chocolate bars with bacon in were AMAZING. When my dad worked in the states we’d beg him to bring some back to the uk with him
@@IronWangCreates i once rolled up strips of bacon and baked them, then dipped them in chocolate. and made chocolate chip cookies with bacon for a girl i was dating at the time. i probably have a photo somewhere, it was a big tin full of treats

Is “all pronounceable ingredients” really a selling point? Are people uneducated enough to seriously think that is somehow relevant?
Just that means I will never, ever touch one of these stupid bars. I generally prefer Tony’s Chocho Lonely for my moralistic grandstanding regarding chocolate bars.
I’m guessing it has to do with the early 2000’s nutrition bullshit for young children where kids were told “If you can’t pronounce an ingredient than it probably isn’t natural or healthy for you”
Yes, it is, and it makes me angry every time I read this. It’s just uneducated BS.
@@runewarrior43 that must have been an American thing. Here in Sweden we just trusted the EU and Swedish government to not allow any dangerous ingredients into our food.
Pretty sure Tony's is cheaper per oz to boot since they're pretty chonky bars.
@@MarcusTSMarcus Yeah, it's become an advertising thing. I remember watching a soap commercial that showed people trying to pronounce the ingredients and thinking to myself, "What if you know the science of how soap is made though? Then the ingredients aren't scary anymore."
My nephews said it was dark chocolate, but it wasn’t as tangy as dark chocolate, so I called it medium chocolate and I think that’s an adapt description of it.
I wish he would’ve explored a sugar alternative that doesn’t have the same glycemic effects so people with diabetes and low/no-sugar diets could enjoy the bars too. If he did that these bars would absolutely be worth the price for me. As is, his bars do have less sugar than a lot of regular chocolates though which is good.
Ew no. If you can't have sugar don't ruin chocolate with monk fruit or stevia or whatever nonsense. Just eat a banana or something.
@@ivoryphoenix7 (I was clearly being facetious)
Try Boka toothpaste for your sensitivity!! I had the same thing forEVER but gave that a try on a whim and almost immediately noticed a difference. Using nano-hydroxyapatite instead of fluoride is night and day
What I'm impressed by is your ability to take miniscule bites of chocolate. If i have a chunk, all of it is going in my mouth. All. Of. It.
If you like dark chocolate salted caramel, Costco has dark chocolate caramel sea salt bites in a huge plastic canister. Life changing 😋
Ooh I’ve had those
I was wondering how the ingredients were produced and I couldn't find anything about that on feastables webbsite.
Their 70% dark chocolate is the first dark chocolate I've found that I really enjoy the flavour of and they are available in a bunch of different contries.

why not? lmao
@@stonerdoomclown you are so right

You need help
I bought the 18 pack. I honestly thought they are really good. They taste like bars made of semisweet chocolate chips. One of the better chocolate bars I’ve had, and they seem like they’ll melt really well. I didn’t notice any of the bars tasting sweeter than the others. None of my bars were broken. Just another experience. My only problem with them was that they are sort of expensive and that you have to order them. Now that I know they’re at Walmart I’ll definitely try to get them from there.
14:04 -> Shocking your mouth as a description of eating chocolate is, in fact, not crazy. I find the same damn thing with oversweet chocolate. I feel infinitely more sane, 2 years ago Swell! 🎉

i love bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar 🥰 i make my own dough with garlic and rosemary and pan fry it.
Amanda out here reminding all of us to go to the damn dentist
Why does the box and the bars remind me of the World’s Finest chocolate bars kids would sell you in school? Mr. Beast going for an untapped market?
Agreed with William, nuts in chocolate are the superior version.
William is becoming my new favorite character in the Swell universe
really enjoyed that the automatic closed captioning in the intro thought you're small entertainment :p
Sensitive teeth could be a cavity, or it could also just be a sensitive tooth. A dentist would be able to give you recommendations. Toothpaste for sensitive teeth can help if it's the latter!
Just rediscovered your channel and your content is so chill and entertaining
Now that we know how Mars, Nestle, and Hershey's used child slaves, there's no damn excuse for not taking the extra step to get fair trade chocolate

Amanda is my preferred source of Mr. Beast news.
Im sorry but the description and stuff sounds like a “hello there fellow kids” corporation
Mr Beast looks like an Outer Worlds character who simps for the Board.
Extremely disappointed you didn’t say balsamic vinegar like Elmo
I like the idea. Would never buy it unless it just happened to be in a store it was sold at and I was in the exact aisle. I like the share/devour part. Kinda cheeky
Someone else with teeth that hurt only with sweets!! If your dentist tells you what it is or how to fix it please mention it in a video. My dentist just shrugged and said my xrays were fine and to try sensidyne although that toothpaste doesn't do anything about it for me.
Try Boka! It's a little bit spendy but it helped a TON with my sensitivity, way more than sensodyne did!
My dentist called mine a “sweet tooth” and said it’s because I have a nerve too close to the surface. He also suggested Sensodyne toothpaste. It has worked at an acceptable level but if I forget to use it the pain is still there.
me when amanda tries something i’d never heard of and had no intention to try: finally, some good fucking food
The whole "simple ingredients" thing kinda pisses me off because it feeds into the "big chemical words are big scary and bad for you" thing which is not good!! Chemicals jus be everything!! Dihydrogen monoxide, wowie, much scare!!
Jk it's water
Yea I'd rather know if it were sustainable and ethically made
Hey, idk if you read comments (esp. ones that are 2 days late), but your tooth sensitivity to sweetness is probably root exposure.
So there’s another thing to think about before deciding to buy.
Girl, it's called a toothache.
Came here to say, yeah you have a cavity girl... I guess she's never had one before???
@@nicoledoubleyou Actually... It happens to many adults. It's the enamel of your teeth having worn down after years of wear. It's VERY common to have teeth sensitivity, most especially with sugar.
@@SummerAlleriaWindrunner tooth enamel doesn't just wear down that fast, she's pretty young. Tooth sensitivity with temperature is common but it's not caused by less enamel.

“Mr beastified” u should bill him for the brand innovation😭 he’d trademark that if he’s in his bag🤑
The extra sweetness might be the sugars in the chocolate crystallising in the area surrounding the little bits of whatever, making the sweetness more pronounced
I don't consider chocolate a snack purely because there's not enough of it in its container to be a snack.

bro your editor really coming after you today be careful
I have the same thing with my teeth sensitivity to sweetness. My dentist told me I can’t really do anything, just get enamel repairing toothpaste. If I’m gonna eat something overly sweet, I’ll rub it on my teeth before. I also find that cheaper chocolate is more painful to eat. Does that mean Mr. Beast is high-end?
sunflower lecithin >> soy lecithin quality wise
Soy Lecithin is one of the major things in most chocolate that is bad for cats & dogs, not sure if the sunflower lecithin would be any better but I think caffeine is also a major problem for dogs, less so for cats.
6:48 you prbably already know but bestie those are cavities
I guess additional ingredients in the bar reduce the amount of cocoa (which is not naturally sweet), so sugar content becomes denser. Hence, the chocolate tastes sweeter.
Wouldn’t adding it mean that everything else goes down?
@@FrancisFabricates I guess that could also happen, depending on the manufacturing process. You would only know by doing the math. This just an educated guess here, I don´t make chocolate!
They should add the amount of cocoa to the packaging imo.
Many adults have teeth sensitivity. It's probably caused by the enamel of your teeth being worn down after years of wear. It's very common to get a toothache while eating sweets.
Sometimes my teeth hurt really really bad when I eat sweets too, my dentist says I just have sensitive teeth, I use sensodine tooth paste and that honestly helps allot
