    Nobody comes close to Jimi Hendrix. Most blues songs are quite easy to figure out but try this one and you'll be shocked. Not because it is technically so difficult but because Jimi's musical brain was wired differently. He had such unique licks and bends and he never repeated himself and he just stands out. The best by far.

    I do wish they would release the remastered movie of this entire concert. I was one of the lucky ones to watch it at the one-off screening at the Albert Hall in 2019. It was stunning. All I have is the memory for now.

      It would be great to see just the live performance and not the other stuff riding in the limo etc. but I suppose the raw footage isn’t available

    • @ianlaker9161
      @ianlaker9161 26 дней назад

      @ yes it is and I’ve seen it. It misses out all that nonsense (including crashing waves?!) that detracts from the performance. Those of us in the RAH were the only ones in the world to see the restored footage. There’s some kind of dispute between the Hendrix estate and presumably the movie’s producers that is keeping it unreleased. Extremely frustrating.

    • @fenderjazzbrian
      @fenderjazzbrian 26 дней назад +2

      @ that dispute goes back forever and I think includes the Mike Jeffrey estate too. Pity.

    I started to see Hendrix 3 times. I got sidetracked twice. The only time I saw him
    was up at Woodstock. He was the master both his guitar work & Stage presence
    were unforgetable.

    How can someone think this is redhouse when every Hendrix fan knows it is Bleeding Heart, unbelievable ! Still waiting for Hendrix LLC to release a DVD but I am 'not holding my breath. If the movie could be shown even if Goldstein still has the rights the Hendrix estate surely has enough to buy same as they must have made a small fortune from Jimi's legacy. No surprise it is just greed .
