    I have always loved this subclass, and I am not exactly sure why. The martial/magical blend is great (like Hexblade, Eldritch Knight, and College of Swords too). This is a great rundown for it. Keep up the great character breakdowns!

    I’ve been playing a High Elf Bladesinger Wizard in a campaign for a little over a year now. I think the Warcaster and Tough feats are a must for the subclass. I also recently took a 2 level dip into Fighter for Action Surge and Dueling.

      dipping makes no sense. Getting higher level spells will always be may more worth it.

      @@gregorysheridan2015 With a 2 level dip you still get 9th level wizard spells.

      @@JustBenUnofficial has nothing to do with that. It’s about delaying them. You get way more damage just going bladesinger all the way

      I Also Take 2 Dips Into Fighter, For Action Surge & Blind Fighting...
      I One Time Casted STEEL WIND STRIKE On 5 Enemy Party Member's & Then I Action Surged & Casted It Agin & I Ended Up & Killed The Entire Enemy's Party All By Myself...

    I SO wish that there was a Bladesinger-esque subclass for all full Casters. The whole concept behind it is just so cool!

    Tortle Bladesingers are surprisingly good.their static AC means you don’t need to worry about dex and you can focus on intelligence to boost up your defenses while you focus on casting.

    • @gregorysheridan2015
      @gregorysheridan2015 2 года назад +2

      but like why tho. You are choosing a subclass at that point only for having a higher AC. Just play any other wizard subclass and you'll get way more out of it.

    Bladesinger- I use magic to kill my foes
    Fighter- Not as satisfying as sticking a Blade
    Bladesinger- I do that too
    Fighter-......So

    My favorite 5E subclass. Only issue I find is it is MAD, Multiple Ability score Dependent, so getting feats over the raw stats you need is hard.

      On god tho it really isn't. Most of your spell slots will be used for abilities that offer no benefit from having a high INT mod. Get dex as high as possible+shadowblade+mirror image= profit.

      @@DungeoneersPack hmm id say reworking song of victory (+int to dmg), should be something else mainly cause it just feels lame for a high level feature.. maybe more defence or adding in special bladesinger style ability?

    • @marcialhd
      @marcialhd 3 года назад +2

      @@DungeoneersPack i would personally add an extra line for the "Training in War and Song" feature that allows a bladesinger to use Intelligence instead of Strength or Dexterity for attack and damage rolls (since it would allow them to use all sort of weapons instead of just Finesse ones and it would still be compatible with feats like Elven Accuracy) and to allow them to use any one handed melee weapon that they have proficiency with to be used as a spellcasting focus (because lets be real if you are going to be a melee spellcaster this feels like a must have and because many Gishes already have it such as College of Swords and Pact of the Blade Warlocks), just some small changes that could make the class more fun to play.

    • @gregorysheridan2015
      @gregorysheridan2015 2 года назад +1

      @@marcialhd dude how much more do you want the subclass to have like jesus christ. It already contends with one of the best subclasses in all of 5e. Unreasonably high AC even at low level on top of having so many casts of shield, having the largest spell list in all of dnd, fantastic melee prowess with booming blade/extra attack, great con save. Like lord what more could you want?

    • @marcialhd
      @marcialhd 2 года назад

      @@gregorysheridan2015 not being MAD in order to achieve all that would be nice, plus my point of using their weapons as spellcasting focus is something that in my mind ALL Gish (or at least the single class ones) SHOULD have simply because it fits the theme of a melee spellcaster which all Gish evoke (plus the warlock and sword bard already have the feature so it should be easy to add it for the other Gish).
