That BareMinerals mineral veil definitely gives a white cast on deeper skin. Total bummer. But they also offer a pressed tinted mineral veil that works ok. And I love love love your favorites pyramids! "And this week, at the top of the pyramid...Maddie."

Yay milk makeup hotel lobby! I also have after party. I use them as all over coverage for a nice minimalist look. Totally sweat proof. They can be drying unless you have oily lids.

I'm a fan of the NYX glam liner aqua luxe in Glam 24 Karat. I know you've mentioned that you have oily lids and I don't so I can't speak to that, but it holds up on my hooded eyes and it's really easy to use!

The negativity in your comment section lately is realy hard to endure and i can´t imagine what it must be like for you (not to say there´s no positivity;)). I started watching you before you went to Boston and loved your videos (including your Music choice for the videos) while you were in Boston. I used to constantly look forward to your videos, especially the OOTW. Now I feel that it really takes a bit of courage to try and leave constructive criticism in your comments because you never know who is gonna pounce on you the next second to try and "defend" you. Now granted there is a lot of comments that are simply nasty and unnecessary. But critisicm should be fine if it is constructive and you can tell I am trying my hardest to word my sentences carefully: Also this is my opinion and not EVERYONE has to agree with it: I know you already adressed, that you didn´t wanna change the backgrounds in your videos but I just wanted to say that I really feel it takes away from the quality and variety of your videos. I see you as a very creative person and I just would love to see you change it up a bit. I don´t know a whole lot about lighting and technicalties but I think you could come up with a lot of creative ideas for a background (maybe even paint one?). I know that ultimately it is your decision. I just wanted to let you know. I still love to watch your videos for who you are and I just skip the ones that are not my cup of tea. I loove your thrifting and cooking videos btw. :) Also excuse my English. I am a german viewer (from near Stuttgart actually;))
I love using the Tarte powder foundation dry. I do a little bit of spot concealing with the Nars Soft Matte concealer or the Tarte Shape Tape and then lightly dust this over my entire face with a fluffy brush and use a smaller brush to tap a tiny bit extra over spots that get super oily or need a touch more coverage. It works beautifully for me that way. I have oily skin like you and it surprisingly keeps me pretty matte all day. I hope this helps push you to try it dry again!

I can’t believe your black kvd shadow isn’t that black! I have the matte shade & light palette in the original packaging and my black shadow is really black and inky and easy to blend. It’s not greyish or patchy or anything at all! I don’t think she changed the formula with the new packaging, but you never know.
I can't decide if I should go a head and purchase the KVD Shade and Light matte palette. The shades are right up my alley. But it's quite expensive or at least in Canada it is. I am about to start college soon and will be living off $400 a month. And I can't decide if it would be worth the $70 or $80 cost (with taxes). 😔
Katherine i'm in a similar position! Money's tight for me, but I would love a supplementary matte palette, and heard great things about shade and light. Don't know whether to suck it up, find a dupe or keep on trying work with what I have :s
Katherine What's the value breakdown? Sure seems a lot of money for a 12 pan, but the quality is meant to be great and if they're staple colours for you (that'll be the base of your looks for years...) it may be worth it?
A- the mineral veil IS translucent.. I'm olive toned, and it doesn't show up... if it's making you look powdery, you may be using too much (I made that mistake, too) I used to use it to set my foundation, but I'm now looking for a talc free, mica free powder. B- if you have a Whole Foods near you, they have a $5 dupe for the rose colored sugar balm, and a $4 dupe for the Sol de Janero lip balm... the names actually rubbed off the tubes of the ones I own... C- have you tried the Becca ever-matte primer? It's been out for about a year, but it's been my go-to, and I am SUPER oily. I would also like to add, sorry haters, but Cassie's skin looks really good in this specific video.

Yay milk makeup hotel lobby! I also have after party. I use them as all over coverage for a nice minimalist look. Totally sweat proof. They can be drying unless you have oily lids.

I'm a fan of the NYX glam liner aqua luxe in Glam 24 Karat. I know you've mentioned that you have oily lids and I don't so I can't speak to that, but it holds up on my hooded eyes and it's really easy to use!

hey Cassie, i have been a long time viewer, however I rarely comment on your videos. The negativity in your comment section lately is realy hard to endure and i can´t imagine what it must be like for you (not to say there´s no positivity;)). I started watching you before you went to Boston and loved your videos (including your Music choice for the videos) while you were in Boston. I used to constantly look forward to your videos, especially the OOTW.
Now I feel that it really takes a bit of courage to try and leave constructive criticism in your comments because you never know who is gonna pounce on you the next second to try and "defend" you. Now granted there is a lot of comments that are simply nasty and unnecessary. But critisicm should be fine if it is constructive and you can tell I am trying my hardest to word my sentences carefully:

I know you already adressed, that you didn´t wanna change the backgrounds in your videos but I just wanted to say that I really feel it takes away from the quality and variety of your videos. I see you as a very creative person and I just would love to see you change it up a bit. I don´t know a whole lot about lighting and technicalties but I think you could come up with a lot of creative ideas for a background (maybe even paint one?). I know that ultimately it is your decision. I just wanted to let you know.
I still love to watch your videos for who you are and I just skip the ones that are not my cup of tea. I loove your thrifting and cooking videos btw. :)

I love using the Tarte powder foundation dry. I do a little bit of spot concealing with the Nars Soft Matte concealer or the Tarte Shape Tape and then lightly dust this over my entire face with a fluffy brush and use a smaller brush to tap a tiny bit extra over spots that get super oily or need a touch more coverage. It works beautifully for me that way. I have oily skin like you and it surprisingly keeps me pretty matte all day. I hope this helps push you to try it dry again!
I have been watching your channel on and of for a while now and your personality is so lovely. I can’t believe your black kvd shadow isn’t that black! I have the matte shade & light palette in the original packaging and my black shadow is really black and inky and easy to blend. It’s not greyish or patchy or anything at all! I don’t think she changed the formula with the new packaging, but you never know.

I can't decide if I should go a head and purchase the KVD Shade and Light matte palette. The shades are right up my alley. But it's quite expensive or at least in Canada it is. I am about to start college soon and will be living off $400 a month. And I can't decide if it would be worth the $70 or $80 cost (with taxes). 😔
Katherine i'm in a similar position! Money's tight for me, but I would love a supplementary matte palette, and heard great things about shade and light. Don't know whether to suck it up, find a dupe or keep on trying work with what I have :s
Katherine What's the value breakdown? Sure seems a lot of money for a 12 pan, but the quality is meant to be great and if they're staple colours for you (that'll be the base of your looks for years...) it may be worth it?
I'd find a dupe for that price if you're going to need emergency funds too. If it's your first time away from home then definitely.
Katherine makeup revolution has dupe same colours trust me much cheaper and good quality
Try the Makeup Revolution Light and Shade palette. I love it and it's a literal copy of the KVD Shade and Light
A- the mineral veil IS translucent.. I'm olive toned, and it doesn't show up... if it's making you look powdery, you may be using too much (I made that mistake, too) I used to use it to set my foundation, but I'm now looking for a talc free, mica free powder.
B- if you have a Whole Foods near you, they have a $5 dupe for the rose colored sugar balm, and a $4 dupe for the Sol de Janero lip balm... the names actually rubbed off the tubes of the ones I own...
C- have you tried the Becca ever-matte primer? It's been out for about a year, but it's been my go-to, and I am SUPER oily.
I would also like to add, sorry haters, but Cassie's skin looks really good in this specific video.
If you're going to call it a quadrant, there needs to be four quadrants, not three. It's literally the definition of a quadrant.
