Hey Cassie! The gloss actually doesn't do *that much* for the lipscense! it's basically any old hydrating gloss. What actually happens is it's basically pigment suspended in (cosmetic grade) alcohol. that's really it. once the alcohol evaporates, you're left with pure pigment and a stain. however it's EXTREMELY horrible for your lips... so drying for the lips!!
Don't feel horrible about not liking the lip sense, from what I heard the scheme behind them is pretty shitty and they sound like they have awful ingredients that shouldn't go anywhere near your skin (the amount of alcohol being one of them). Happy birthday to Fig and Galileo !

beautifulwhitecat - make sure you try it on your lips before buying. for some reason Bite lipsticks are alot lighter (2-3 shades) on my lips than they are in the tube and swatched on my hand.
You know what works just as good, if not better, as a silisponge at applying skin care? Your fingers! I think it's safe to just give both of them to your cats to play with. 😂
I actually like lipsence so I can kiss the bf without it transferring. The key is applying it in the same direction, very thin layer, let it dry without touching your lips together, then apply the next layer, repeat. Then the gloss. Make sure the lips are clean and dry of saliva. My issue is I got a bad color so I need to try a different shade. The first ingredient is alcohol so that it can super dry but I do know it smells awful! Mine did dissipate after it dried.

i'm not a fan of those direct sale makeup brands like lip sense or younique. most of the people that sell it won't let you dislike a product lol. they'll tell you that you're doing it wrong, you can't dislike it. with lipsense, if you have to keep reapplying the lip gloss to have it be comfortable, what's the different between that and reapplying any ol lipstick?
Cassie you should try the Paulas Choice moisturizer on top of the Calm SERUM. Both together work great. I find the moisturizer alone is not the most hydrating but I still like it, specially because it doesn't break me out. I have bought and used two tubes already :) Though at the moment I'm using something else. The most hydrating moisturizer for combination/oily skin from Paulas choice I have tried was the hydrator from the line that comes in blue tubes, from the anti aging line. ♡

I can't believe how fast this year is flying by. 6 months ago I had just gotten out of the hospital, a 10 day stay to cure ovarian cancer. It sens like yesterday to be honest. It's been a really hard year and it's actually getting harder because I'm still sick and can't work. But that's beside the point...January seems like yesterday which means we are going to blink ad it will be Christmas! What is going on? Is it just me or are the years really going faster?? Lol
LipSense isn't for everyone!! I won't ever go back personally, but I get why some people aren't into it. It takes some getting used to, and when you love so many other lip products it's not always feasible to switch over completely. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with it! hopefully the distributors that sent you it were able to troubleshoot some of the issues you had.

I just can't get over the smell, it tastes like bitter poison on my lips, and it doesn't feel comfortable at all to me. For me, the gloss feels like it's just "sitting on" my lips rather than actually moisturizing them. Really, the only thing good I can say about it is that it does last a long time on your lips. But at the end of the day I can't wait to remove it.
I have combination skin and I HATE it! Foundation slides all over my face where it gets so oily but it also cakes to the dry patches around my nose 😩 it's so hard finding a foundation that works.
