Hi Dave, I know you keep mentioning that nobody is watching this series of the outlying fells but I’m really grateful that you are doing them. Like your first series of the 214, I always watch your videos before any walk I do. Me, the mrs and the dog have done all the 214 fells now and have started on the outliers. Your videos have been an excellent resource for us just wanted to say thank you! All the best matey !
Cheers i appreciate that.. theres a consistent 200 people watching them which i am happy with.. if it inspires 20% of those to start them and use the videos as a resource ill be thrilled.. yea i am quite passionate about them now, i started by saying i hate them but as you work through your mind begins to adapt.. cheers :)
Ey up Marra. Superb mate, some lovely walking there mate, especially with the autumn colours starting to show through. All the best mate, looking forward to Black Combe! 👍⛰🥾
aye i didnt fall this week which is always a sign of a good walk.. still got 3 walks to do before black combe but aye just hope its a nice day for it.. tek care lad :)
Another great video Dave. Loving the intro music! 🤠 We're thinking of tackling the 20 miles of the Ullswater way soon. I may wait until you have done the walk before I decide that it's a good idea. 😂
aye sadly its a bit too late to be doin walks like that now, doubt ill get round before dark so thats gonna have to be one for the spring.. cheers lad :)
Some more nice walks there. I quite like walking in forests and the contrast between them and the open fell. For me nothing beats walking the Lakes in autumn. Best season for me. I'm entirely with you on the artificial demarcation of Lake District fells and which are and which aren't.
It was a pleasant warm up, I think i got lost in a forest as a child and think its always stayed with me haha.. Yea for me the rough boundaries are Dent in the west to Heughscar in the east.. they seem to be the final fells in each direction.. Cheers for watching, tek care :)
Some nice views on those walks Dave.I also think that Autumn provides the best colouring on the Fells. If you`re happy to put the date and time out when you're doing Black Combe we will come along if possible. If not nae worries ...keep the videos coming..love em all...JC
aye nice colors but was forced into the base layer for the first time.. anyone is welcome to join, its going to be sat 2nd nov.. white combe, stoupdale head and black combe.. only 6 mile, i doubt it'll take much more than 4 hours.. thanks for watching, tek care :)
I used to live in Penrith and we called the first fell Dunmallet. They are all nice walks and quite easy to. Your videos of the Outlying fells are great and i certianly enjoy watching them. I think you still have a few to do in Dunnerdale. Hope you walk round some of the lakes because that would be interesting. Look forward to your next video. Cheers.
aye Friday 25th I intend to do the Dunderdale 9.. apparently a big walk but many who have done them say they are possibly their favourite so hopefully nice decent pathing.. first time ever in pooley bridge, was very busy when i got back to the car i can see why its popular with tourists.. cheers :)
Yesss dave loving the country mountain man song hahahaha 3 more done on a good day class and losing viewers for doing something you want to do is harsh I for sure love watching these total new territory for me and not shown into detail as you put on them and the brilliant falls whats not to like but they obviously not true fans if theve quit at this point they would be getting to see the true wainwright's from different angles and also nut throwing woodland gangsters 😂😂😂😂 im loving the cairn flask there brilliant vlog as always marra and when I start doing a few i will start carrying you a bag of rocks up to help you on your way to make new cairns when you do in the futre it's only fair you name the cairns 😂
aye thats gonna be the problem marra, very few rocks up some of these fells so if you and the mrs can carry a shopping bag each up them al be grateful haha.. pooley bridge is nice but a bit too tourist heavy for me, not an ideal place to 'get away' car park was rammed when i returned to it.. thanks lad for the effort of always great comments i appreciate ya pal.. tek care :)
Ey up Marra. We did Dunmallard as a 💩 weather alternative when we were camped at Sykeside during the “summer”. Where you get your intro music? Love it!
id like to say i got a band together and hired a singer but no its simply AI music done on a website called 'Suno'.. took me 5 minutes to type a few lines of lyrics and autogenerate a song, its good fun.. Cheers Tony :)
@@daveostlemountainman I suspected it was AI Dave, so I had a dabble myself. I didn’t even bother with any lyrics, just got ChatGPT to do it for me. Posted it yesterday. What you reckon?
