- I sat down with Doreen Virtue for her channel and we talked a little bit about the issue of if, when, and where the Roman Emperor Constantine might have changed the books of the Bible. You can find that original video here: • Proof Constantine didn... . Make sure to go and check out Doreen's other channel, videos, and content!

I found Wes very recently after he rebuked Billy Carson. I’ve watched a few videos now and can’t believe I have never come across him before! He is so on point and very inspiring to Christians such as myself, especially after hearing him say “the Bible is for us all but not To us” 🎯I look forward to seeing more from him on dispensations. 💪🙏
Same here
@@manulajo1803same!
Ditto
Me too!
Me three !!!
I would love to see Wes go on Joe Rogan and set the record straight.
Funny enough, Joe Rogan started following Wes on Twitter.
@@Sammo212that is awesome news!! I agree it would be treat to see Wes on Rogan’s show. Rogan is a smart dude. As crass as he can be, I do enjoy some of his interviews. He seems to be seeking after truth and I believe he’ll encounter that through Christ. 🙏🏻
It’s funny to think that hot rogan at some point, scrolling through RUclips, stumbled upon the debate and was like “hey I know that guy”
Me too! That would be great - Rogan should hear from both sides
Man I honestly can’t wait man.
Wes has on influenced me to start a Christian Apologetic Bible Study and I've never been happier! I see so many coming to Christ thanks to Wes!!!
Awesome!! Praise God!!
It's hard to believe this was 3 years ago. It's so relevant now. Thank you Wes.
I watched the debate with Billy Carson after someone told me about it at the Gym. Thank you Billy Carson for introducing me to Wes Huffs amazing channel. Im learning with each video.
Same! I feel like I’ve had my own personal epiphany and rejuvenation of my faith based on Wes. There is also a great podcast on the Shroud of Turin on Pints with Aquintas!!
So thrilled I’ve come across Wes! Thank you Lord.
Thank you, Brother Wes, for all that you do to edify the body of Christ. Grace and peace from God the Father and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Wesley, I can't wait till your channel takes off.
Wait no more!
Literally, the wave is coming
Brah I seen it go from like 16k to 80k something in like a week or less. Thank you Billy Carson and Praise Jesus. Wes is full of treasures for the Kingdom that more need exposed to.
PS. I'm one of the recent subscribers.
He had 75k yesterday. Today, 🎉it's up to 93k!!🎉

You showed up in my Feed debating someone and I found you factual and accurate and have decided to stay for the ride. Thanks for your insight Wes!
I got in right after the debate and he was only at like 23k what an explosion its been. Been listening to him since almost daily
I appreciate these interviews with Wes Huff. So informative. Thank you so much and God bless!
I've been following Wes right after He rebuked Billy, now im learning. We'll done ✔️ sir
You might want to find other teachers as well.
Wes, I have had so many questions answered and the ability to move forward in aspects of my faith that have had me stuck. I so appreciate your knowledge, transparency and communication style to help those of us out here sorting through critical issues! Thank You!
Love this history that youtube allows us to research and watch! To watch Joe go from that to what we just saw is truly a miracle. Thank Jesus for chasing, changing our minds and our hearts! Keep praying for Joe!
Grace and Peace to you. Excellent video.
I am privileged to listen to him taking Billy Carson and educating him about serious research protocols.
We need to pray for Wes, Jesus been using him to reveal a lot truth and devil don’t like this. 🙏🏾 legend
“I really like how you break things down so clearly.” I do too Doreen. I do too!
It's funny that people don't know the fact that the Davinci code is a fiction novel, not reality . The Council of Niceea was called mainly to deal with the Arian Heresy .
Surprised that wasn't highlighted more
You're right and what's crazy is there so many "false teachers" out there that base part of their theology on davinci and Constantine it makes me sick. The devil trying to do all he can to lead people away from the true Messiah!
The problem is that people want their ears tickled as Scripture says so they'll grap onto anything that seems to prove their particular viewpoint without investigating the "proof" further. With all of the information at our fingertips, it's so easy to disprove The DaVinci Code as well as Billy Carson's claims.
I've been watching all your content since the bashing of Billy. You continue to blow my mind with how misinformed I have been my entire life. I even went to church last Sunday for the first time in over 2 decades. I would love to see you on Rogan and I have a feeling that after the Carson debacle we will be seeing you there very soon. Another amazing conversation I would love to see is, you with Dr. Jordan B. Peterson. Thank you Wes, God bless you.
Amazing 👏🏾👏🏾❤ May Christ be with you and His Angels walk with you
@jamesrademacher7873 Welcome to the kingdom! Jesus is King. It gets better everyday.
@@jamesrademacher7873 James I enjoyed your comment you posted on the debate about being Atheist. Guess what, God chose you. John 6:44 says, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up on the last day". “Unless the Father who sent me draws them”. You were drawn to God by hearing Wes’s words. It’s amazing how we all have different experiences coming to God. For me, I was 8yo walking to town through a small field when God spoke to me, he gave me a promise, he said Philip you don’t have to worry I am going to take care of you. I was raised Catholic I didn’t know anything about being born of the water and of the spirit. It was 14 years later I was 19yo when someone came into my life and showed me in the Bible that we must be born again if we want to enter the kingdom of heaven. I believe God chose me too. I just wanted to share this with you. All the best.
I found textual criticism and the canon as a necessary function of apologetics. Michael J. Krugar helped enlighten me towards academic methods of study and now I am very pleased to find Wes Huff bringing this science into the public stream. Your patience were golden while enlightening Billy. I was pulling hair at the host speaking so uninformed of Christianity while claiming Christian faith. You are correct, we worship with our minds as well. Dont give up brother.
Yeah, the DaVinci code actually talked me out of my faith for a couple decades, I'm ashamed to say... well, it was the start, then holy blood holy grail, n my gross misunderstanding of the gospels after reading those two books, all sealed the deal for so long. I'm so glad God never let me go or turned His back on me, n I found my way back a couple years ago!
I was the same way about the Davinci Code, it rocked my faith to the core. But God is SO good! He didn’t let us go!
Love you bro! What fantastic content! Very much needed in our world! 🔥❤️😄💪🏽👊🏽
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏿
His grace and mercy be upon you both and your loved ones 🕊️🥛🍯
Sending love to my brothers and sisters out there. Gods Heavenly gifts. Thank you for your work and sacrifice to defend the truth. Not a version but the truth.
Yes! Thank you on sharing this knowledge! Cause this was trying to change history but this is biggest historical event that took place.
The vid seems to loop a bit around 27:00, it might be a problem of editing, but kinda jarring to have you speaking about the same thing twice in a row Wes.
Great video otherwise, hope this gets more traction as this is an absolutely valuable video to address which no offense is a silly objection to Christianity. I remember when I first heard this conspiracy as a teen it kinda freaked me out, but after some mild diligent study realized that it was a lot of hooplah with no grounding at all.
I love Doreen and now I love wes.so glad you two got together
Very informative talk thanks 🙏
I am really loving your content Wes i have been to Bible College and hearing this stuff has really refreshed my recall. Especially when it comes to people who refute the authenticity of scripture.
I hope your trip to Austin really enlightened Joe.
Glory to God. This ages well.
When is rogan gonna air the episode with wes??? Sooo excited to see that!!! I think if God uses anyone to reach joe, which I have high hopes for, I think wes would definitely be the one!!!
Watching this after you were on Rogan
Just heard the interview with Good Fight. You have a new sub here! Excellent commentary on The Book of Enoch.
Very good video. As a RC, I don’t agree on his take on RCC, but to the actual point of the video I think it is excellent.
I agree, the term Roman Catholic came around the 1600's as an insult from the Anglicans. The church has never called herself Roman Catholic. But unfortunately most Catholics don't even know this either. The Church has been called Catholic since 110 AD from St. Ignatius of Antioch.
@@MaruAnderson-111The word 'catholic' means 'universal'
The RCC is an abomination of the true Gospel and Church and hijacked the word 😢
Wesley, your explanations are very well delivered.
I don’t know if you read these comments; but can you please expand on Constantine’s father?
I read that he had converted to Christianity and Constantine kept him out of Rome, brought his mother to Rome to be worshipped…(Helena) also Constantine’s conversion (if there was one?), and the removal of reincarnation…that’s pretty huge!😮
This lady’s questions are leading (with all due respect)
Your answers are always on point..so please keep making these videos. So much to unpack in this video alone…oi
Cant believe I never seen your channel before the debate debacle!!😅
thank you wes. this is great knowledge
Amazing! I would've liked to hear more about when Catholicism, as we know it, began, i.e. praying to christians that past away, canonization of the saints, Pope, etc.
Since the beginning when Jesus said to Peter, On this Rock.i will build my Church
@enslavedbytruth - the rock is Peter's faith, not Peter himself. The previous verse tells us that. Faith in Jesus Christ is the central tenant of Christianity, not a human being. There were no popes in the first century church. Bishops/Elders were responsible for leading their local church. Peter was the Bishop of Rome, not a pope. The Bible does not tach apostolic succession, praying to saints, elevating Mary, the 7 sacraments, etc. The Roman Catholic Church that we know today was started under Pope Gregory the Great in ~600 AD. He pushed for Rome to be the end all be all authority.
@@enslavedbytruth all these beliefs didn't just make an appearance at that phrase, so I'd appreciate a more productive response. Shortcuts based on presuppositions are rarely helpful for requests like these
@@Xavier-ww9zybut that’s relevant because of “oral tradition” that the Bible speaks of. The Bible is the foundation but the church and the practices of the faith continued and developed naturally as you would expect. That’s why you see early church fathers talking about baptismal regeneration and real presence of christ in the Eucharist. Or better yet the trinity. Those aren’t explicit in the Bible itself yet the church for the first 1500 years were unified. Hence why all of the orthodox churches all believe the same doctrines as Catholicism unlike Protestant sects.
Wesley, please share your thoughts ofvthe changes made in the bible, ie mention of bottles vs wineskins and mention of a wolf laying with the lamb not a lion. Help!
Can you provide the verses for reference? That sounds like a translation/textual variation issue to me. If you cite the verses I can take a crack at it.
Thank you for reposting this! I had no idea you had done this interview!
Awesome people come out of Canada
Thank you so much for this!
Learning a lot from you Wes. Thanks.
When Doreen asked about when the church established the “66 book canon”… the Biblical Canon has *73* books.
The canon of Scripture-the list of books recognized as inspired and authoritative-was gradually developed over the early centuries of Christianity. It was formally recognized by the *Catholic* Church in the 4th century, though the process of discernment began earlier.
The formal recognition of the canon took place at the Synod of Rome (382 A.D.). Under Pope Damasus I, the Church issued a canon listing the *46* books of the Old Testament (including the deuterocanonical books) and *27* books of the New Testament-matching the Catholic Bible today. *46+27=73*
There are *73* books in the official Biblical Canon. If you have 66 books in your Bible you have a Protestant translation that has removed 7 official canonical books.
Protestants removed 7 books from the Bible during the Protestant reformation in the 16th century.
Get an RSV-CE translation.
The Lord Bless You and Keep You Brother Wes Huff 😅
Is it just me or does this video repeat randomly around the 16:48 minute mark and 21:30
It does!

Does the difference between the Hebrew and Roman calendar have any bearing on the idea of " first day of the week" as the Sabbath?
Wes! I appreciate you so much. I would like you to do a deeper dive on Christian’s worshipping on first day of the week instead of on Saturday,. What do the following verses refer to?“Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood. For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.”
Acts 15:19-21 ESV
Also, please study the origins of the words “Day of the Lord.”
Thank you!
Tack så jättemycket!
My husband wants to know what happened to the 50 Bibles that Constantine had commissioned? Why have those books completely disappeared?
I would really like to hear Wes’ take on the 66 books of the Bible of Protestants vs 73 books in the Catholic Bible.
There’s a video called “Who Chose the Books of the Bible? Tim Barnett and Wes Huff” on the Stand to Reason channel. That discussion reveals Wes’ take on it.
But Constantine did change the times/calendar which in turn changed the Law/Torah.
the Law/Torah wasn’t changed, we wouldn’t be having Rabbinic Judaism if that were the case
@ So, if you take the Sabbath off the solar/lunar calendar that falls on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th days of a lunar month and place it on the Roman calendar by which Sabbath then falls on dies Saturni , how is this not changing Torah? And before you answer this question please go to Scripture and find a weekly Sabbath that falls on any other days rather than the 8th, 15 th, 22 nd and 29th.
I was just watching a Wes Huff video a few hours ago and he was at 327k subs, 3 hours later, hes at 330k! Incredible
Can’t find Dory.
Amazing. Thank you.
Hi Wes, there’s a part in the video that’s duplicated at 16:46 and again at 21:35 when Doreen asks whether there was no evidence of a hidden agenda that Constantine had to water down Christianity…
YOUR GOD GOES BEFORE YOU WESLEY. YOU MAKE THE ANGELS SING WESLEY. ARMOR OF GOD ON YOU
@45:00 is this where the doctrine of the “trinity” started
Why is this repeating itself?
In the beginning of the video he said this was a repost.
Because repeatition is the best way to learn an important point. Its why scripture repeats how much God loves us..
Sounds 39:14 unbelievably odd that Thomas would conveniently conclude his contribution with such an inconsistent, outlandish, and highly controversial statement. 😐
Wes,
Was there not an internal war between Arius and Constantine where Arius was more or less banned from Rome over not agreeing with the full divinity of Christ concept and Constantines sister negotiated with Arius to finally accept it in order to be given back his place in socety?
That does not sound like the way you explain with Constantine saying "we all agree about these things anyway."
Asking respectfully. The council of Nicea and the entire concept of the trinity and divinity of Christ has always been a major obstacle for me accepting the idea of Christianity.
We are definitely entering a parables era. People need the nature of God condensed into something they can understand. It's not lazy or stupid people but people who just need their lives to work for God. I think that's the stone Wes struck here.
O Canada! Wes is awesome.
It appears that some of this is just a repeat, word for word, of what was just stated. Is there a possible editing issue or am I imagining this?
Wes
Came across a video of you speaking about the doctrine of the trinity. Why did you turn your comments off? Yes, it was your channel and not a repost
We all are transgressors but the sign annotated by the RCC states that Sunday worship is their mark of authority and God calls the remembering of Saturday Sabbath as his sign between him and his people. If God says remember... maybe we should listen
when he says things can always be traced back to an apostle why did he not give specific names like he normally does? It is a known fact that no one knows the who wrote the book of hebrews but he said that can be traced back to a witness... who is this witness and why should we trust him. I also found it interesting that he said that there were many discussions had on if there should be only 4 books in the new testament but does not explain why which specific books were accepted and why some were not. He then shifts his focus back to Constantine and ignores the fact that there are so many different types of bibles for a reason.
,😂
I think you mean 4 gospels.
As for why the other "gospels" were excluded, all you have to do is read them and see they were wacko Gnostic screeds and drug trips. Plus, unlike the 4, they actually WERE written much later, 2nd through 4th centuries.
So it really wasn't anything like a close call, likely one reason why Huff doesn't bother with it, though mainly because the focus of this conversation was what happened with Constantine and Nicea, which is to say it had nothing to do with picking the books.
It was overwhelmingly about whether Jesus had always existed in the eternal godhead or was a created being, and if I remember right, the final decision was the landslide of all landslides, Jesus being past-eternal getting 95% of the vote. It was the death of Arianism. (The first chapter of John should have made it 100%.)
So yet another myth about Christianity popular with internet skeptics circles the bowl...
Wes gives reasons in other videos as to why the books of the Bible were chosen. You can look it up too. There is no mystery whatsoever. Mostly, the writers couldn't be verified and most importantly, they did not fit in what the books of the Bible had already stated such as the Gospel of Thomas which states the Jesus basically says women have no value, which contradicts the Gospels and Jesus' message. Jesus elevated the status of women. He appeared to women first. He also had many women followers and women helped fund and establish the early church. Shows are limited by time set by the host so there is only so much that they can fit in.
I'm glad he has changed his views since then.
36:51 i LOVE what you say here, especially considering that the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke are something like 60% verbatim. Check the texts and compare for yourselves. Also, especially that the gospels are word for word in Greek when Jesus taught and spoke in Aramaic. 😂🙏🤩
How could they decide on the holy trinity as if they understand who God is and what God can be compared to?
The canon of scripture was formally recognized by the Catholic Church at the Synod of Rome in 382 A.D. under Pope Damasus I. The formal canon has 73 books that Catholic Bibles still have today (RSV-CE for example). The Protestant translations are missing 7 official canonical books (KJV for example) as the reformers removed these 7 books in the 16th century without the official authority to do so.
147k now
Read "CONSTANTINE; Roman Emperor, Christian Victor" by Paul Stephenson. It 1000% explains all of this from a nuetral standing. So enlightening. It reignited my faith.
I wish I had of known about you years ago 🙂
@12:32 is the spirt of misnomer applied to a timeline (i assume without google 😂)
Jesus and the disciples kept the Sabbath and did not explicitly teach that it would be abolished. It was only through church laws (such as the Council of Laodicea in 364 AD) that the keeping of the Sabbath was explicitly discouraged.
Jesus Himself said He was the Lord of the Sabbath. He is the ultimate rest. Colossians 2:6 debunks your theory
Apostles did keep the shabbat. Yeshua never mentioned abolishing any commandments. He needs to study temple laws first before teaching about the renewed covenant.
You know what’s cool, the Joe Rogan clip in the beginning of the video, he’s wearing the same shirt as in his interview with Wes 😅 kind of a weird little event but cool
Literally just hearing of Wes for the first time today. Was he familiar with Micheal Heiser? Tim Mackie? ... and I wonder if he has noted Doreen's recent content. Particularly how she has come out after heiser died and called him a heretic...?
They never mention serapis and the fact that Constantine called for Arius to come back so he can accept his ways
37:02 I wasn’t sure prior to this comment, but now I’m quite sure that Wes Huff’s ideology does(not) align with the raw truth i’m searching. Stay safe everyone ❤️
Godspeed Wes.
During the time of the Council of Nicaea, the Church referred to itself as the Catholic Church which means universal. Hence, the Nicene Creed professing belief in the “One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.”
It’s strange how Protestants try to remove the “Catholic” identity from the early church in order to justify their continued protest of the authority of the Papacy.
Constantine called the first council thus starting the connection between Rome and Christianity. Christianity had no business following the dictates of political rulers in regards to how it should take shape.
Thank you for removing me from my ignorance
I think the biggest thing to come out of the Niceine Council is the actual creed and discussions of the religious calendar celebrations. Some were upset over the feasts being excluded and this created a schism and Messianics broke fellowship with traditional orthodoxy in 325 AD. Some say Gentile Christians were never asked to keep the Feast days and Festivals or even the Sabbath, see Acts 15 and the Book of Galatians.
Most people don't understand this but during the Great Persecution 303-313 AD, the destroyed Christian meeting houses and Christian texts they found because of co-Ceasor edicts; Christianity was illegal due to its nature of serving one Sovereign God only. Some Cesar's were actually deified after their death or actually considered themselves a god worthy of worship .
Who else here after the Joe Rogan podcast ?
The heart of Joe Rogan, I think somebody needs to compassionately ask him if he's ever been angry with God for the family situation that he grew up in and his estrangement from his father for nearly all his life?
I have a father, which makes me a son, I am a father to my children, and I have a soul. Though I'm one person, I have distinct roles. Similarly, God is one essence in three distinct, coequal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each fully and equally God, existing in perfect unity as the Trinity.
Ignatius of Antioch wrote in AD110 explicitly speaking on the Catholic Church and the supreme Bishop of Rome.
12:00 Hmmm...I wonder who she means..
Can someone tell her how to pronounce Da Vinci? It’s painful to listen to
16:46 - 21:34 portions of the interview repeat?
It's weird for me as a Catholic observing Protestants discussing church history and church teaching without any regard for the institution that by the power of the Holy Spirit preserved this history.
What do you mean?
The Seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God.
The first day worship is an invention of the Roman Church.
Please give me a source, A creditable one
@Chance_RiceJUDAISM
In the book of Acts is when Sunday started becoming a day of worship.
@@janetlee1672chapter and verse plz?
The original Bible had 73 books and not 66. The 7 books that were removed by Protestant in the 18th century are still a part of the Catholic Bible.
Ok we get it... You believe in purgatory 😂
To assume texts were not destroyed is worrying.
Why aren’t you talking about the removal of 7 canonical books in the 16th century by the reformers?
I just read your article ‘One Bible, Many Versions’ and you don’t mention any translations that have all 73 books.
Furthermore, the history you give in your article only goes back a few hundred years, completely ignoring the fact that the canon of scripture was formally recognized as having the 73 books that Catholic Bibles still have today (RSV-CE for example) by the Catholic Church at the Synod of Rome in 382 A.D. under Pope Damasus I.
If the people or prophets in the Bible really existed, where are they buried?
Underground
By this standard, only a few dozen people existed then, if that many.
I don't know where your great grandfather was buried there for he didn't exist
