Looked like a great turnout this year. All excellent RUclips creators, and great advice. Thank you to all the creators that made time in their busy schedules for the meet and greet. Yall keep up the excellent work. Safe skies my friends 🇺🇸🛩️
Sure wish I could have made Oshkosh this year... great meet , fine open discussion.... last time I was at one of these it was both the Patey's and the rest of the Cowboys... kinda made the trip there worth it... Thank You Taking Off for posting this gathering.👍👍👍
So good to see RUclipsrs together. They are people that like the spotlight (in general) so I can’t imagine how hard it is for some to sit there quietly 😂
Bailey was such a great addition to your channel during OSH. She has given some very thought-provoking questions and commentary (maybe she has a journalism background?) on the videos she’s been on.
Def, too many solos out there with cameras in the plane. Even seen a student "live stream" a chat on a solo. Some can't resist trying to get engagement despite being told to not
LOVED IT SO MUCH! I was there! So Cool! What a great one for sure!! 😊YAY! Also I have a question how do you get included in all the RUclipsr meet and greets and stuff like that at Oshkosh?
Love this as I didn’t make it over there even though it was at the top of my list of things to do while at Oshkosh. One thing, though I’m an avid RUclips aviation content consumer. I do not know who many people are that were on stage. Next year make them introduce themselves with their channel name before they speak?
@@TakingOff Thanks for listing them, I've seen Flightchops, Pilot Debrief, Blancolirio,( I didn't see Juan Brown) and several other videos the creators I can't remember. I've personally done super thanks, too. Even though not a pilot I LOVE watching and learning from those who are. You can tell them ALL thanks for their content and keep them up. May the skies always be blue!
I was looking forward t this - and wasn't disappointed - great people, great rapport and info. Several speakers were unknown - would have been very helpful if their names had been said so I/we could search for their content.
Even tho it was my 1st air venture, from talking with others it was def the nicest airventure weather in easily 10 years+ (no rain (15min) and mild temps)
Where else would you find a group of people, that are technically in competition with each other, yet not competing against them? The comeraderie & friendship is amazing. I follow most of the channels & have now been introduced to few more which I will investigate.
It is indeed a small community. Doesn't take much to change the world. Lance Neibauer was just one guy in 1980 but defined much of the later LSA development and likely Cirrus SR as well from the Lancair IV. Lancair should arguably have had Cirrus' success but that goes to show that certification is the way. And parachutes.
I'm famous! LOL. I saw myself in the audience. This was a great event but I liked your other presentation at AirVenture even better. I'm waiting for the Dan Millican school of videography and RUclips to become a thing!!!
I get copyright strikes all the time on my videos, for using my own music - which is somehow apropos for the weaknesses of the platform. Creativity is not rewarded, but catering to primal human tendencies is.
But not shorts. If I wanted to watch shorts I'd be on tiktok or something. Portrait format is not something I ever watch by choice. From the amount of interest in blocking shorts, which I have finally managed, I don't think I am alone.
@@joneis1 Yeah, it was a big concern for me from the previous year. So on two different occasions, I opened it up for anyone to comment. Owen is great, I agree.
@@dustinalexander4620 I did cut off the "pass the mic, name and channel only" instead listed them in order. During the event I thought we were going too long, but several said it'd be okay to go a little longer. Maybe next year. Thanks Dustin!
I loved his comment about getting a less expensive plane for 40 grand and learning to fly in the older planes. That’s me. I don’t have a ton of money but I fly a 1967 Cessna 150 and it’s so amazing. I have kids too and want to teach them to fly but they’re not very interested but maybe someday…
Am I the only one who doesn't give the tiniest flute about what it is like to be a youtuber or what video editing tools they use? I understand it's important to them and they need to be able to exchange these things with their peers, but the consumer of their content wants aviation stuff only, so those conversations about youtube algos and adobe and censorship and all that couldn't be any less interesting, tbh.
Technical criticism: I stopped watching Pilot Debrief, because in my view that is just too often imprecise second guessing. There were a few videos, where in my view, the conclusions were just wrong. Matt Guthmiller is doing a lot of spectacular clickbaiting. Some people may tolerate it, I don't support that.
Disagree on Pilot Debrief, he is very accurate, very professional, and very thorough. Agree on the clickbait of Matt, don’t watch his stuff or DG’s anymore (or recommend it to anyone else). Would have liked to hear some from Max, Kaye, and Baron Pilot, Yoel, Palmer (of the Alaska type, not the other), Missionary Bush Pilot, and of course Juan, they all have great aviation stuff (not fluff).
Mike is so down to earth such a great guy to listen to
What an amazing group of talented producers. I watch many of them all the time and appreciate all the effort. Great to see so many !

Hello from Minnesota!! It was so great to attend this! Thanks for bringing so much talent to one spot!

Seriously, you started with Matt?
I missed the Airshow this year. Thanks Dan for this video. Great to see all aviation folks at one place!
Bailey was such a great addition to your channel during OSH. She has given some very thought-provoking questions and commentary (maybe she has a journalism background?) on the videos she’s been on.
She’s awesome
Thanks for all the work you put into this event Dan.
Got to be there in person for this episode and it was so much fun! Thank you for this awesome forum. Let’s get it into theater in the woods next year.
Thanks for sharing! Great stuff!
One note for aspiring pilot RUclipsrs. Aviate, Navigate, Communicate, RUclips. Keep the blue side up first, then record it
Def, too many solos out there with cameras in the plane. Even seen a student "live stream" a chat on a solo. Some can't resist trying to get engagement despite being told to not
Nice to hear from all these folks! Subscribe to many of them. Thanks😊
Big fan of Hoover. Factual, balanced with great detail and even some human emotion.
LOVED IT SO MUCH! I was there! So Cool! What a great one for sure!! 😊YAY! Also I have a question how do you get included in all the RUclipsr meet and greets and stuff like that at Oshkosh?
Thumbs up 👍 thanks for sharing ✅
What a great idea. And then so many of them showed up! This IS a great community.

I listed them in the description. I did have them introduced their name and channel, but that’s two minutes of video that’s pretty boring.

New Personal Goal: Make the Stage Next Year.... 🤣
You’ll make it happen!
Enjoyed it! But… from being from Alabama, we thought it was pretty much Autumn weather 😊
Interested to hear about the Niagara Skydive Pilot accident...thanks
So nice to see all of you together !!!
Dan, Thank you for making this video. One day i will make it to EEA
Would love to shake your hand there!
Wow, amazing panel! Thank you for putting all the @ in the about section!
Great video! I do not fly, but really enjoy watching aviation videos. Thesefols are all great.
I spend many hours a week watching these guys, thanks for making life more interesting and fun.
Good the host was the only Dan during the presentation.
🤣
Great stuff
Sad I missed it this year!
Next year Glen!
This was awesome! I enjoyed the different perspectives.
👍✅ What a star filled hanger and a great question and answer session👏Thanks to all the rock stars!
That was fun. But you know what was missing, some drama, soap opera, come on, they don't all love each other. :)
Even tho it was my 1st air venture, from talking with others it was def the nicest airventure weather in easily 10 years+ (no rain (15min) and mild temps)
I'm disappointed I didn't see Gryder in this group . . . 🤣
These clowns sent security on Dan out of jealousy. He was there.

Nice job Dan. Nice to see many of the you tube legends in the room.

We really enjoyed being there! Great to watch it later too.
Dan is 100% correct with regards to germans. My dad is german and I've given up trying to explain BrYan's videos..........
😂
HAHAHA!!!!!!
Aw man I missed this… 😢 next year hopefully
Damn missed Oshkosh for a CPL checkride. So much regrets

If could have asked a question I would have asked what is your opinion on channel name?
RUclips.com/@ATCpilot chilling in the corner 😅
Owen got no mic time ???
Everyone got an opportunity or two.
@@TakingOff I’ll rewatch must have missed it. All the panel members are tops that’s for sure, but he’s the most articulate one in the bunch.

Dan, if you have cuts of questions that's not in this episode, it would be nice to see it all. I can tell you tried to keep to a time limit.
I included everything on this one.
@@TakingOff Thank you Dan. Just love Aviation stuff like this. Was hoping for more. But it's Osh and minutes are golden. Thanks for what you do.

Who was Balie talking to at 11:30?
Joe Costanza of Bananassssss

Havent been on youtube much, did christy get divorced? Didnt she used to be wong?
Does anyone remember Ohio Bush Pilots? Talk about OG
I’m unfamiliar

Thanks for putting this together Dan and Crew, great job!
