When I sew trough large hole beads with a narrow thread I go around twice for stabilization. In this piece it's the 8/0s. Otherwise things start to wander. If you believe in learning from others' mistakes here's a good one.
Tons of excellent practice doing RAW--and once you're done with practice, you have a beautiful necklace!! How much better can it get?!? Thanks, Allie, for sharing this little beauty with us.
lovely rhythmic raw, raw is ever a versatile stitch and can be modified a little bit for a different look, that is the main of raw, thanks a lot for this lovely beadwork tutorial 😍😍😍
@@Potomacbeadco I think this is such a lovely necklace! Question: I have a bunch of Czech glass leaf-beads--could we substitute a "real" leaf bead in place of the RAW bead-leaves around the "grapes"? Even without this, I just think this is one of the prettiest beading projects I've seen in a long time--thank you!
I love right angle weave took me for ever to learn but 🙀once I got it I just loved it because it works great as a tube as well as flat and looks great dressed up with crystals 😹😹😹loved this version. Very pretty will look great as a complete set of necklace, bracelet and earrings ever as far as anklet’s 🤗🤗🤗
This was a fun project! However, when I ordered the lobster clasp the hole wasn’t large enough to attach it the way you did in the video. I had to make a different closure. What size lobster clasp should be used for this project so that the 15/0s will pass through it easily, as shown in the video?
That is a hard question because the size of lobster is not going to determine the size of the loop on the other side. Usually a 12mm Lobster will be able to fit the seed beads.
I want to use a cup button instead of a lobster clasp. Lobster clasps can be kind of hard for me to open. Is there a video you recommend for watching how to do this?
@@Potomacbeadco thank you. I see a lot of projects use a button instead of a traditional clasp and I love it. I'll check that one out and watch some of the other tutorials for projects I have that already use the button. I don't really know how to right angle weave yet. Would it be better to start with something else first or is any RAW project fine to start with? I think I have some more beginner friendly ones in my stash if it's easier to learn on a really simple project..
This necklace is absolutely gorgeous thanks for sharing your talent with us
This will be a perfect gift for my friend who just lost her mother. So beautiful.
we are so happy you like it!

Beautiful!!! Thank you for explaining why it is called "right angle weave."
Glad it was helpful!

SuperDuo herringbone knit used 2 buttons so that would be a good one to check out.
