Hello Friend Tom #Cimbrerbushcraft , Glad to see you are doing well my Brother . I have been waiting all week just to see where you where going to be at and doing this week . LORD I wish I could get out and walk around and camp , But my camping days are over I guess , So I'll just have to come along with you each week my friend . I look forward to seeing what your up to each week . Like the hat , That looks like fox fur to me . I have one that looks a lot like that , But I also have other fur hats , Something like the mountain Men would have worn . Also love the axe , I collect old wood working tools ,They are good tools and did the job , But none looks as nice as yours . I also collect Native American Tomahawks , Another Mountain Man thing . I gave one of my Bows away the other day , It and about 6 or 8 arrows . It was one of those compound bows and just did not fit in with my long bows and recurved bows . I still have about a dozen bows and some where around 300 arrows . I have not shot one in years , But I still collect them . Well thanks again for letting me come along with you Brother . And Spring is just around the corner . There are some things I could plant now , But think I will wait another week or so before I put my little garden in . You take care Brother and stay safe . Greetings Tom, sure picked a nice camp area and thank you for the set up details and cook pot toggle explanation. The ancestral gear is working very well...why have we gone “modern” anyway, ah yes convenience. My friend, for many years now and continuing still I seek and try to live by the simpler better olden ways. The lanterns are mystical and enchanting.
So very nice to experience mead, I brew a methelgen style of orange and a hint of clove and cinnamon. It is strong too, about 17%, slightly sweet, mild flavors and strong honey finish. Love it outdoors with friends! Geared up to get out fishing tomorrow. Birds and plants are a screaming Spring and the weather is very mild this week👍🏻
