Bit of a basic question but, what’s the process of buying the figures on display? Do you need to find a worker to open the display case? Or can you just open it yourself and grab whichever one you want?
You'd need to ask one of the staff to open the display case as they are locked. You just tell them you want to check a figure and they will put it in a box for you if you want to buy it.
Just went two months ago, they usually have numbers some have no box. They give you a little notepad and you fill out the ones you want, you take it to the counter and they will pull it for you. but akihibara is kind of a rip off it’s pretty controlled with the price of figures for the bigger stores I recommend going to more rural areas for better prices
@@Action_Words pretty much anywhere outside of Tokyo, I went and purchased some in Kyoto, and Fukushima(not nuclear Fukushima there are two locations lol. There are big anime stores with crane games. I made friends with a store owner and now I purchase directly from Him and sell here in California. He has the best price but you have to take a bullet train obv
Thanks for the comment :) I'd recommend going to ''Books Kinokuniya Tokyo'' located near Shinjuku station in the Takashimaya building on the 6 floor. I made a video about it a couple years ago :)
Man those prices are really reasonable and probably authentic too, i cant even get them at those kind of prices here in USA they're usually always above 30 dollars....and the really good ones are like 50 and above....
I love your videos❤ thank you so much… I was wondering if you think it is worth going to that place if I am looking for Harry Potter merch, I barely saw one figure in a corner, so I am already disappointed and thinking I wont find anything :(
Man I really wished that I could hop on a plane and fly to Japan 🇯🇵 I just wished that my mother wasn’t so scared of flying though. I’m not saying anything bad here against her. But I feel bad for her. I just wished that she had a little more courage. Thanks man for this awesome video. Man you can probably spend up to several hours in this shop, buy a bunch of stuff and probably go broke afterwards 😂
@@MattFinds Yeah me too Matt. You know I have a friend that is studying Japanese and he was thinking about going someday as well. And he always tells me that you never know what the future holds in store for you. And he is absolutely right! And thanks for the kind reply! Loved this video. There is so much stuff in the building that if I was in there I wouldn’t know where to start. Lol 😅And Yeah Matt I do wish that I could hop on a plan and come to Japan too. One other thing that i wanted to point out and say is that It’s always been a dream of mine to come and visit another country like Japan. So anyway one of the many things is I just wished is that the U.S had stores like this one. yo im glad your back as u know big fan and i do have a question i have alot of stuff from games to robot stuff ist worth trying to move them on ebay ? is ebay a good way to get good profit nowadays ? thanks
Thank you very much as always! :) Yes, ebay is the biggest platform to sell items in my opinion. You can make some profits, but you really need to look at the shipping cost and make sure you describe as well as possible the item you are selling and put a lot of pictures so it takes a lot of work. I don't do it often as my main job is modeling.
Because it's Tokyo, does it mean the prices for everything might be higher than other regions in Japan or it's all the same in any place in Japan? I mean, it's hard to know, but I have to ask in which region we could/should find the most cheapests figures around there?
For these types of stores, the prices are the same. The best is to go to the second hand shops like ''Hard Off'' and ''Sugura-ya''. They have a lot of quality figures at a cheaper price. However, this store in Akihabara is the best when it comes to choices.
Unfortunately, they don't sell any English manga books in Akihabara. You should go to ''Books Kinokuniya Tokyo'' in Shinjuku. It's pretty much the only bookstore selling English manga and a lot of them! I made a video about it if you want: ruclips.net/video/kE14xahPcuQ/видео.html

Do you know any good places to buy old Takara toys from the 90s?
Just wondering if they sell gundam kits as well? Didn't see any in the plastic model section or the scale model section. Thanks in advance!
Yes, I think I saw some gundam kits in the plastic model section in the building.
17:42 you can see Gundam in the back, and other Bandai kits on the sides
Do they have some sort of online store? I assume it would be a more lucrative investment to make one
I wanted to ask I’m not sure if you said it already but what’s the name of the shopping center thc
No problem. It's called Akihabara Radio Kaikan :)
