David named the puppet Chip the Black Boy actually, and claimed years later that Chip was stolen in a baggage claim or something. Whoever made the show “Chip the Black Boy” is either the person who stole it, or somehow got their hands on it.

It was called The Butter Show, and if you look hard enough, you can still find some episodes floating around the internet. One notable sketch was when one of the guys falls in love with a Mr. Potato Head. They go out on a date and end up in bed together. It was a really stupid show, but everyone thought it was amazing at the time. We also used to have this old angry atheist guy called Herb Nero who would take calls and proceed to get into insulting debates with everyone who disagreed with anything he said. It was kind of entertaining. You can find clips of his show around, too.

The creators have come out and said they don't want to even have any footage on the internet. They put in satire homophobic type jokes and people latched onto those and they dont want their show to be associated with that.
Tbh it’s more like a lot of things were easier to get away with, but a lot of things were a lot harder to get away with, too. The things people freak out about shifted. Pretty common with changing values and what is or isn’t considered normal at the time.

It's an awesome Lower East Side Public Access Show that was made by an awesome, legendary director/filmmaker from the late 70''s - 80's art scene. Shows like this I only discovered on the Internet as each Borough of NYC had its own separate Public Access Channels so being from Brooklyn meant I could only watch Manhattan shows if I had Manhattan Cable channels. Major Bummer. The campy nature of the show is by design, it's meant to be over the top and silly
I love coming home from a 7 hour shift, tired as hell. Turn on the laptop and seeing that blameitonjorge uploaded a video. It's always nice to watch this in complete silence and in the dark cuddled up in thick blankets and my cat. Probably the best feeling I could ever have.
I umm can relate to you..i pretty much do the same with exception of watching movies or playing old video games with my cat or on the phone and having my girlfreind here with us..espesially when she falls asleep..cuz than i just stay up all night watching stuff online..eventually falling asleep holding her or her holding me with my cat asleep on the bed or by the bedside. sometimes i will have my music on playing low with my City night lights on i got hung up in my room in the dark.its just a very nice feeling.very cozy and intimate,comforting.
I worked with the guy who made the roadkill handbook years ago. He was a pizza delivery driver and was probably the coolest and funniest person I’d ever met. Awesome guitarist and he had several show skits on public access.
I don't really think there's anything that deep about most of these, I think the creators know it's fucked up and they're just trying to get a reaction.

I'm the uploader of the Fun With Roadkill sketch. For the record: Chris McGinty, the narrator, and who did the majority of the work on the sketch was about 24 at the time (1997). The target practice shot was a happy accident. He was going around getting shots of roadkill in preparation for the sketch. It just so happened that the truck hit the dead critter shortly after he pressed record. Or so he told me. He came up with the target practice line because of it. Thanks, this has really made my day. There has been more traffic to the video in the last 8 hours than at any other time in the 10 years since the video has been on RUclips.

For the record: Chris McGinty, the narrator, and who did the majority of the work on the sketch was about 24 at the time (1997). The target practice shot was a happy accident. He was going around getting shots of roadkill in preparation for the sketch. It just so happened that the truck hit the dead critter shortly after he pressed record. Or so he told me. He came up with the target practice line because of it.
