I have worked with 4H in my young adult life and you ride your horses as a family and spend a lot of time with your horses which is the most important thing when dealing with horses

You never know how animals will react and it is how you react to it that affects the animals. You all did very well.
It is so respectful for you all to put forth your best looks, tackle, and presence for the show. That was the biggest winner to me. Always see yourselves in 1st place in the things you can control. I'm very impressed with your progress. You looked absolutely stunning Meredith.

I don't comment on video's a lot, but being a athlete myself, it is not about winning first place it is about having fun an enjoying what you do, and taking the knowledge with you to make to make a better person and family , which you have done. You and your family are a greet example of that. Thank you for the great videos' you produce.

Suggestion on ground tie....when you move to walk around the horse move toward his hind end first and walk around that direction( counter clockwise) he will stand, i promise
I know nothing about horses but looks like fun.
I like to check in on this every now and again as I am in NC and feel like we are neighbors!

03:16 - We get those gnats every year in the spring. They lay their eggs in flowing water. High water and wet conditions lead to more habitat which leads to more gnats. They can be a real problem for poultry......

Congratulations on a good show day! It’s great you are doing this as a family & all are learning together, with young horses that will grow with you. Being new to your channel I’m not sure who everyone is, but I liked what I was hearing about teaching new folks at the show what was acceptable & not. I’ve been involved with horses a good part of my 72 years, was fortunate to have one friend in particular who got me going with a good foundation, 60+ years later & we are still friends & through good & bad, it’s a tie that won’t break. Using what I learned from her & with her involvement with 4-H, I learned, that opened a door to become a stable manager (which I took when I needed a break from nursing), which led to a position where I worked teaching English riding & jumping. When I got into pleasure carriage driving, I taught beginners in that. At one point I was asked to judge the driving division for a 4-H qualifying show for our state fair. When I saw much help the kids needed, with the ok of the show manager, I gave a quick clinic, working with each child & parents, getting them set up safely & then I had them compete. I went back before the fair & gave a full day clinic, at no charge, they were all very appreciative & it was very rewarding to me. I thin it is great that those at the show you were at were receptive to the help & were able to compete with properly set up equipment & be safe for all around. In any equine event, we all need to keep our eyes open & being kind, offer advice where needed. Obviously not all will be receptive, but the ones that are, will have a much better day. Thank you for sharing your experience & good luck with future shows!!

Nice job you all did in the competitions. Sad to say we just lost are 16 year old Buckskin mare last Wednesday evening after having her teeth done. It broke the daughter's heart. She was hoping to show her this year after she deathly sick last year. Congrats to your winnings. Hope you have more winnings and videos on it.😊

When I watched your video tonight it brought back great memories of when my grandfather would take me and my brother and cousins to Junior Rodeos in West Texas. I was 11 and now I am 71. Thank you for the great reminder, Meredith God Bless your beautiful family❤❤
