Another gem from my childhood, one of the first video games I ever 100% completed on my own. Personal favorite is pac man world 2

Played this so much as a kid the disc literally warped at the edge. Still worked just fine, but a couple songs wouldnt play in their levels

Such a nostalgia trip, the sounds in this game were amazing!
Yeah, right? The ramake looks of course better but the sound of the original is still fuller, rounder and just stronger.
My first Pac Man game. Nostalgia. I never could reach the end though.
The cutscenes, though cheesy, are hilarious to watch as a kid. But...the fact Ms. Pac Man herself got caught, too...

Greetings, all! As some folks have noticed, yes, gearing up for that sweet-looking remake at the end of the month! Pac-Man World was one of those games where I felt like I was the only kid who ever knew it existed. Though admittedly, the Cave levels made me lose some sanity, even more when doing this longplay. lol That doesn't make me any less excited for Re-Pac as the developers did confirm that some levels were getting fixes and redesigns made. It's ironic that the game was 1999 rather than 2000, when he debuted in 1980...
While I prefer this and the 1st sequel I do know that in the opening cutscene for pac-man world 3 pac-man goes through a phase but before it ends he's like well at least this isn't my 20th I think he was implying this game
Yeah they should have waited till 2000 and used that extra time to make enhanced versions for the N64 and Dreamcast.

So underrated, liked this a lot as a kid.
This game along with the sequel on the ps2 was hard to beat. Hopefully the remake will be a bit easier.
The devs of the remake confirmed that certain areas have been fixed and redesigned. Best part is they said this as they were showing footage of the Cave levels. Lol

The game also has at least 1 common bond with super mario 64 the metal suit makes both pac-man and mario invisible and allows for underwater walking 🚶♀️

I got this game for Christmas on the PlayStation. Never beat though, but it was exciting to see Pac-Man in a game like this back then.
Impressive playthrough!!👍🏽🤩👍🏽Pac Man World was the very first game I ever played on my then-new PSOne. Never finished it; too hard. The space-themed stages were about as far as I got. Nonetheless, it blew my 10 year-old mind away! Also got a new tv, Spyro 2, Ape Escape AND Evil Zone on the same day. Christmas 2000 was fucking lit!!!🔥🎄🔥
coming back to this after so many years, this game was released in my birth year, somehow I remember playing it. so strange but brilliant game. also weirdly nostalgic, almost like I was on drugs at the time thinking back on it lol.

I'm just gonna say it, but I love Pacman's little victory dance
I got so many fond memories of clearing this game on PS1 back in the days (especially from the Space world)... and some traumatic ones (curse you, Spin Dizzy!). I'm seriously considering getting the Re-Pac remake, just will have to see if they will update the great soundtrack of the game and give option to choose between classic and new.

I recently got both Pac-Man World 1 (PS1 version, emulated on PS3 as a PSN classic.) and 2 (Nintendo GameCube version, bundled with Pac-Man VS.), to prepare for the Re-Pac for our lives! They were fun!
Spin Dizzy seemed very challenging.. In the past I never made to King Galaxian, for some reason I found it too be a dead end.

man, seeing this gameplay again makes me remember my younger days. Ive played the remastered version, but it didnt feel the same. The dialouge at the beginning was left out and the remake of toc-man felt off. this one will remain as my all time favorite

Now seeing gameplay of this game for the first time, it makes me wanna play it and buy Re-Pac for the switch! It looks like a fun game that still keeps the main idea of Pac-Man and never goes too far away from that, unlike... some OTHER Pac-Man game for the SNES.

I never played Pac Man World, but I wish they wouldn’t have changed the cutscenes of the remake. I prefer the mystery of the original cutscenes. The new cutscenes feel dull.

Sure, there was some texture tearing, but not so much that it completely ruined the visuals, and it's popular sequel had the ability to incorporate live action sequences

Its funny you rage at that because to me, thats the best boss fight in the game. Windbag comes in at 2 and Toc-Man at 3.

I remember getting this game 9 days before I turned 13 in July 2007 and you can also put the game in a CD player and turns it into a soundtrack. I'm going to search around for a copy for the PS1, I haven't played Pacman World in 8 years since I had it on PS3 before it tore up.
