While this is fantastic in its own right, it's interesting that some very prominent and often mentioned cities are pronounced completely wrong - gives a bit of an insight into how or why you've come across these places. I know Spain isn't exactly a top holiday destination for North Americans but Málaga is probably more widely known throughout Europe than Madrid is. I bet there are more people who know of it and can pronounce it correctly than there are who even know it's in Spain. Scandinavia just got absolutely MASSACRED. All except Copenhagen, since that's what we call København in English. Some of these places are even spelt with a way to know how to pronounce such as "He-RAK-li-on" in Crete. Greek does a thing that would be so useful in English where an accent is above the letter which is stressed. Heraklion is Ηράκλειο in Greek and the symbol above the letter tells you where to stress (á) which is so useful. Sounds like I'm whinging, but well done!
Thanks! Yeah. Before I started learning places, my school never even had any geo-related course at all so virtually anything I know has been through discovering it online. It's also unfortunately not hugely in Pittsburgh general culture to travel a lot. I LOVE travelling but Pittsburgh is a pretty isolated city. Takes like 3-5 hours to get anywhere remotely interesting. Sometimes, I wish I was European 😅
Dude, it was amazing watching you spelling Petrozavodsk
As a Swede, I'm only mildly upset. :) The name you were searching for was indeed Östersund.
Realized that literally as soon as I pressed stop recording 😂
I think he might have mixed it with Östergötland.
I was shouting Linköping the entire time haha
Haha fuck it was Västeras and Uppsala, what a disappointment :(
@@justanotherguycalledchris7297 😂 Imma gonna start studying some swedish cities. They're pretty cool.
Why did I know the top comment would be a damn Swede ahahahaha 🇸🇪
(Jag är svensk och vet hur vi är lol)

The fact that you can spell most of the cities is amazing itself! Nice work

Det var riktigt roligt hur du sa Umeå, Piteå och Luleå
Jag pratar inte svenska tyvärr. Men jag skulle älska att lära mig någon gång!
I'd be ok at this if it didn't include Russia. I'd get some russian cities but I don't think I'd complete any of the grids in Russia
Yeah, it's tough 😅 I think just about anybody, including myself, could benefit greatly from some Russia study
