My 7x grand-father Pierre Brault was sent to an area around Boston where he died, the rest of the family made it to L'Assumption, Quebec 10 years later.
That's our people, the Mikmaq, where he stayed in Esgenoopetitj in New Brunswick. A local historian says he hid behind an island in the Burnt Church River.
Joseph Broussard is one of my Ancestors and is very highly respected here in South Louisiana and South East Texas
Yes, he is one of mine as well.
I’ve gotten as far back as Rene Broussard he was in the Revolutionary War as a Draftsman driving wagons for General Galvez
@@rickybroussard5350 Wow. Thank you for that! If you don’t mind, could you please provide me with his birth and death dates so I can check my family trees as well? I have very many distant Broussard relatives in my paternal line but a whole bunch who are just 4th cousins as well, so not so far off. I am trying to make better connections on my end.
I’ll look it back up and post it
@@rickybroussard5350 Thank you so much! Blessings to you.
Joseph Broussard is one of my Ancestors
Excellent ❤
For those interested google “Bloody Creek Battle” 1757, a documented example of Acadian resistance. This occurred in the vicinity of the Olivier D’Aigre (Daigle) homestead. Family lore, as told to me as a child by my grandmother, told of her ancestors (perhaps her great grandparents) escaping into the woods like as told in this video.
Deo Gratias
Alexandre dit Beau Solei Broussard is his older brother and my 4th great granddaddy.
Mine too!

Does anyone ever wonder why there is a very ancient people called akkadian and we are called accadians?? Well not anymore but we are called cajun for some reason now. Our language was attacked. The first thing people do when conquering a people is attach the native language and customs. From my understanding there were laws passed against the French language here in America. They didn't want us speaking French They wanted us speaking English. Just find that odd. Are we the akkadians from the ancient times??
Cajun French was banned from being spoken at schools. But they were not banned from speaking at home and through music. Once French was an official language, they allowed current French, but our French isn’t the same. Most who only spoke Cajun French at school were beaten and they didn’t want to teach their own children. My parents are the first generation that their first language was English
My grandparents, on the "Cajin" side, and my father, were punished for speaking Cajun French in school, so much, that my father refused to even teach me, at that time I didn't know about any CODIFIL, my dad had even cussed me for asking. Since I grew up far away from Louisiane, at that time, it became impossible. I remember my grandparents, and great grandparent, would refer to others outside of Cajun, as being Le Anglish , the English, or, the Americans, they viewed themselves as "different" , and apart from those who weren't "Cajun." They were proud and still defiant of the others. I know that they suffered much.
@@leonceboudreauxwolf yea I never heard my grandma talk about being proud of being American. She was proud to be a cajun tho.

she is not related to joseph broussard. she was gaslighted or just claimed him. he comes from from nobles and has several kings related to back to charlegmane. she is lying or was lied to. no one on those broussard sites are claiming her unless they being paid.
