Every dealership sizes up Every prospect within minutes of walking in. You get put in a category, and that is how they play you The more info you have, the more power you have. Control the conversation, and buy where you are empowered. In Jersey Saburus are hot, in Florida, not so much. If a salesman realizes he can only make a few hundred from you, and he needs to move a car you can be in and out, if they think are good for six grand profit, there is no way off that track. Analyze what you did wrong, and move on

I'm in South Jersey & bought my last 4 cars out of state! My last being a 2023 Ram1500 Tradesman w/the Warlock Package, & running boards, MSRP 51k, got it for 43k out the door, it was on the lot for about 121 days, had to go to DMV area for a great, no nonsense deal! I'll NEVER buy another brand new car in Jersey again!

You're not considering dealer fees and doc fees. Prices are super low at a lot of dealers in fort Myers Florida, but you pay thousands of dollars in fees. And these are not the used car lots, The Honda and the Toyota dealer both have ridiculous fees in fort Myers
