I don't like doing these kind of videos, but I know you guys appreciate when we have these kind of chats, where I let you into my thought process.
I love you, and don't forget that you are worth all the good things
You can always tell that you're being sincere and transparent in your reviews, and you can see that you are so appreciative of any items that are sent to you. I don't understand why people would have problems with you having expensive things, you obviously put a lot of time and effort into youtube and social media so there's no reason you shouldn't get perks for the work you do! And as you said, there are more affordable ways to get similar looks, whether that's saving up or waiting for the sales, finding similar items in 'high street' shops, using ebay/facebook selling groups etc or thrift shops or just some DIY and customization. Pay no heed to the people out there making you feel like you need to explain yourself to strangers on the internet! Why should they feel entitled to anything from you? The rest of us appreciate you sooooo much (even if we are a bit jealous of all the shoes)
ReeRee Phillips anyone who tries to put you down for having nice things is just jealous. at the end of the day anyone who watches your videos can tell you work your but off and devote as much time as possible into these videos so why shouldn't you receive nice things that you love for doing that ? . I dont understand how anyone could be upset by that . I love seeing your different looks and styles ( although I'm in Scotland so I would need an extra couple of layers haha)

Based, on posting honest comments on youtube. This ain't fake it's true.
Happended, on my other youtube channel posted my first video which ain't 1080p quality. About a few years later, 3 to be exact one of the two big names in automotive repair sent me a personnel message asking what I would like to see added in new updated revised edition in one of their books. Just, have answer about hour questionaire once done they sent me about $50 bucks and two of their items with their logo on it as a thankyou.
This automotive company book is what I personnelly own and used. Shows that honesty is worth something.

Please don't get upset Ree Ree, I had the same childhood and feel the same way about my things, I don't have a lot of money, I don't have a job (having three kids 2 with autism and suffering from 3 incurable illnesses fibromyalgia, CFS and POTS I cannot work) please never feel like you have to explain yourself, we love you in my house hold I have a little Ree Ree myself, given the nick name by sister when she was born (short for Valerie) (I think I've told you before?) and Everytime she sees you she points and smiles and says it's another me! I understand If you are busy so don't feel pressured. My poor mother, bless her heart, spends so much of her time researching and talking to other mothers in groups I'm not allowed in. Any help at all is appreciated but again I completely understand if you are busy. Living with these conditions is horrid and I wouldn't wish it on anyone and I am so sorry your little one is going through it as well!!

And when you talked about not having things because you were poor as a child, I felt genuinely understood. My mum never had anything of her own because she worked herself to death getting the things I needed. As a viewer, I have no idea what goes on behind the camera, on a day to day basis for you so I really do appreciate and respect you for this video. Integrity is hard to come by in this day and age, don't change yourself and hold true to your beliefs, you are an inspiration.
I grew up the same way & even find myself going to the dollar store because I'm so used to it. Honestly there's a difference between being arrogant about having money & actually appreciating it. Some get the luxury & instantly become twats about it. You have not & it's lovely.
When you got emotional I started getting emotional. I grew up and had hard times as well, and I can relate. When you have nothing and then get something nice you can almost feel guilty for having it, and you try to take good care of it because you don't take it for granted but people think you're just being frivolous or something. People make you feel bad either way. As someone who's still trying to get stable, I'm very happy for you that you've got to a point in your life where you can work in the job you love and say no to money that goes against your beliefs and still be stable and have enough to get nice things for yourself and your family. It's not something I'd ever begrudge anyone. It's something I hope we all can get to someday. I like seeing you enjoy yourself and express yourself creatively through wardrobe and makeup choices, even if I couldn't afford the exact items (or, frankly, look as good in them) because I just like seeing you share with us. I'm sorry that your partner had to work such a shit job, too, but it sounds like you're both better off and stronger for the experiences. Have a good day!

You touched a point where I had to agree - The fact that you're always wearing expensive branded clothing and that's not really reachable. Well, I have to admit, you're clothing videos work for me as "admiration" only. I like to admire you're outfits and awesome stuff you have, but I know I can't reproduce it myself with the money I get.
It's not your fault, but I would really enjoy more if you could sometimes do a "low budget" gothic lookbook/outfits or something like that, so we can still have your awesome fashion taste in a more "buyable" version :)

Ree Ree I know this is an older video, but I am watching each video on your channels playlist, and I just have to say that I respect you more than ever for your honesty, not giving up your values and beliefs for money, and having such a strong backbone. Towards the end when you was talking about growing up poor, and how you take care of the stuff you have earned and worked hard for, really hit home with me. I too, grew up poorer than some people, and when I would get nice things I learned to cherish those things, take care of those things, ad appreciate having whatever it was that I would get. It scares me now, being 7 months pregnant at 31, my first ever child, I want to be able to give her nice things but I am still not made of money. I just hope she grows up to appreciate a persons hard work to be able to afford the nicer things in life and see that material things doesn't make a person, that being a good person and standing up for yourself and what you believe in, will get you further in life than having a million "things". This video was amazing. I really love seeing this side of you, makes it a lot more real. That last bit when you talk about how you appreciate your shoes and clothes due to the past...wow, it hit home. I'm the same. as a kid I had to wear my brother's oversized clothes, and now I hoard shoes and Gothic clothes. I do struggle as a recent graduate from a masters degree, yet I still want to spend my money on gorgeous velvet coats etc. it's what makes me happy and feel unique. I have severe social anxiety. I don't have any friends as I don't trust people, therefore these things are my joy and when I dress up I get confidence to kind of be able to go to the shop...I think my online presence is way more social than the reality. I would love to have your job but I don't know if I could ever make it. I really love watching your videos and I love your style and looks, you are sooooooo beautiful, kind and we'll spoken. I love that you are the sort of youtuber who only take brand deals and sponsorships if you believe in the brand. Most of the channels i follow are the same. I appreciate the honesty, and if it's a product or service YOU enjoy it means someone in your followers may too and that's one way to look at it as well.

I love you so much, I say it all the time but this video proves it. You are so candid and so raw and in the 8 years I have been watching youtube I appreciate that so much. I can't tell you the amount of people I have unsubscribed from within Christmas to now, because they make it big and just go crazy. They take all of the sponsors and lie to us as if we are dumb enough to believe it. You can tell which people are completely acting out of character and trying to sell us something they probably never even used, seeing you be raw and real and just give us exactly what we expect, which is honesty and authenticity is so refreshing. Back when I was alternative modeling full time many years ago, things were so different. It was much harder to make money. We didn't have RUclips (barely getting started) and MySpace was the big platform. We mainly promoted ourselves via personal websites and that was hard. There was no instagram. LiveJournal was helpful, and Facebook, but the community was scattered. You could get paid for shoots, but fairly little, mostly you were paid in clothing/product/exposure. I think it's wonderful that RUclips and Instagram have made it possible to actually get paid. I hope young models and performers will take advantage of it, but like you're saying, in an ethical manner (in other words, not filtering their faces when promoting makeup, etc). I've moved on from that life, but I'm happy to see it grow, although I'm sad paper magazines are going the way of the dinosaur. I guess everything changes. Good luck, ReeRee. 🖤

Don't let ppl who tell you you're clueless get you down. You worked for what you have, and yes a lot of things are sent to you by companies, but they send them to you because you have a big following on YT, and you have that following because you worked hard for it.
I love (we love) seeing your look books, seeing the outfits you put together (I'm terrible at that btw so seeing other ppl's helps xD) and how certain clothes look on you.
There are a lot of jealous and unhappy ppl out there who only feel better when they are bashing someone else...don't let them get to you.

I don't understand why some people persist with their requests for lip swatches. I don't see it being a helpful way to know the 'true' colour. Hand/arm swatches are more than enough. I always thought cosmetic companies photoshop their 'swatches', especially when you see the same lips with 20=30 colours.

now that I'm older, I can afford nice enough clothing and shoes. (I buy clothes and shoes all the time ) I am extremely like you, in the fact that I didn't have these nice things when I was younger, (We shopped at charity shops for the most part, and I lived in a trailer ) so now I'm extremely grateful for the things I have now, and I take care of them meticulously. You have earned EVERYTHING that you have, and if someone doesn't see that, we'll that's their misfortune.
I'm glad my whole family made it out. I admit that because of the way I grew up, I probably spoil my daughter a bit too much, but before every birthday, we do a closet and toy-box clean-out, where she donates a bag to the children's home.
You deserve what you have, ReeRee. And its told to you by someone who worked for years over 12 hours a day for 6 Euro for an hour. I still struggle with money, but not so much as I did in my 20th.
