My daughter bought a brand new 2023 Shelby Super Snake truck 2 months ago for over $136,000. The engine blew while driving on the highway with only 2300 miles on it. Only 100 were made so I hope this isn't a constant flaw on these! Sitting in a Ford dealership garage awaiting word on what Ford is going to do!
Anyone a Nascar Fan.? The reason this truck top speed is limited is because of the lack of "DOWN FORCE". Look at trucks that are raced at Talladega or Daytona. You couldn't slide your hand between the frame and pavement, huge front spitter to keep air from getting under the truck, huge spoiler sticking up to keep the rear end planted, and a rear diffuser to let air escape from under it. During testing without being governed a test driver got one up to 165 mph at Talladega before he had to get out of it. Stated it felt like driving on ice.

The 2 door is basically the modern version of the real Lightning, with twice the horsepower, but still like the old one's looks a little more? The old one didn't have that boxy design? It had nice curves and round lines? Not saying I'd rather have the older one, instead of the new one, just a different design completely?

Fair enough, but why not make trucks as nice as Mercedes? Many families take the truck on vacations, and we tow our awesome boats behind them. My family rides in my truck more often than in either of the wife's BMW's, so modern improvements are great for us. That said, prices on basic trucks are becoming absurd.

I have the 2018 Shelby and it's an absolute piece of shit. bought it with 26K miles on it and by 28K I had the engine light come out. spent like 2 months in the shop and they fixed it then 2 months later went back, it was just going back and forth its been in the shop over 10 times since l bought it and the ford dealer where I bought it couldn't find the problem. finally l gave up lawyer up and I'm on the process of returning it to the dealer. its was the worse truck l have ever bought. l hope who ever buys one of this Shelby doesn't have to spend time at the dealer like I did. nice truck thou. but for all those problems for me it wasn't worth a single penny.

You open the hood it looks like it has 10k miles on it, you point the camera underneath and it appears to be leaking fluid, its a ford for sure.

this was a brilliant innovation by the engineers at ford. This truck is 100% everything u could want. Definitely worth it.
