And also the line from Crewe to Liverpool Lime Street via Runcorn, and also Crewe into Manchester Piccadilly via Wilmslow and Stockport, and the other part of the line from Lichfield going via Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield to Manchester Piccadilly.
What a route. The guy who did this should be very proud! Endless scenario prospects from overground, underground, fast line and slow stoppers. Not to forget freight!
I agree. The 390 NEEDS some better sounds! I really hope armstrong powerhouse do an enhancement pack at some point!:) They also need to add track banking in this route!
Class 153s would have been used in the Coventry area, but not strictly speaking on the WCML. They would most likely be employed on the Central Trains routes to Leicester, Nottingham and Lincoln
Hi Alan. Thanks for playing this route. I have heard a lot of bad comments about this freeware route which is why I was not willing to buy UKTS premium membership to download the route. But in all honesty, its not a bad route and it looks to be well made in my opinion. I would be happy to download this route and also if you could do some of the freeware Irish routes that are available. Such as the Dublin to Cork route in a future video. I would much appreciate it please mate. Ash.
Hi Alan. All of the Irish Trains and Routes are on UKTS here by Moran B www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-search.php?form_exact_author=Moranb There is also the Kerry line as well :).
Definitely! also an extension for the Midland Mainline from Bedford, through Leicester, up to Derby and into Chesterfield and Sheffield; and also the line that diverges from EMA to Nottingham via Beeston. And other Midlands route could be around the Derby-Nottingham-Sheffield area operated by Northern
defiantly need to add the line between Stafford to Rugby, I can't find anything for it. I've travelled on the line so many times! I actually can't believe Bham STILL hasn't appeared on any DLC
I have problems with the speeds out of Euston, hud will say 80mph then all of a sudden the line speed drops to 30mph but still says 80mph on hud and I get speeding message?? Installed latest version as well. I know the earlier version had issues but I'm still having trouble, see it seems ok on your run though??
Real train drivers not only have to learn the route, tunnel names, crossings and stations but also where the line climbs and drops and where its level, so if your brakes fail, knowing where its safe to stop where your train isnt going to run away. Also all the routes that can be taken from every set of points on the route as well as what is and what isn't bi-diectional.
The section I hope someone makes is Birmingham New Street to Preston (maybe with branches to Liverpool and Manchester via Crewe) as that would complete the WCML with both branches via Birmingham New Street and the Trent Valley. I imagine the Manchester via Stoke would have to be done separately as it’s over 60 miles added onto an already 100 mile route
I'd love to download this route! It looks amazing, it's just a shame I've gotta do it through UKTS, tried before and not being a premium member it took 24 hours only for the download to fail a couple of hours before! I'll get round to trying again at some point though, anyway awesome video as always!
In real life, those sections where the speed limit goes down and then back up to 125, the Pendolino's don't have to slow down for. They go straight through at 125 mph.
Shy Girl A real train driver would NEVER play a train simulator, why would they when theyve done it for real. People who play train simulators are very sad people who are not bright enough to do it for real. Lee ex-Real Train Driver galaxycoder@gmail.com
Maybe, some people who are passionate about trains/train driving simply don't have the ability to do so. Are aspiring kids sad? Am I not bright enough or is my eyesight simply not good enough? And if we're sad, why are you watching? Move along please.
Does it make you sad watching sad rookie who play train simulator. There are many a reason people couldn’t become a driver so let’s just think before we start calling people sad. Someone who is deaf can not be. A driver are they sad would you say that to them. I for one have past both the old and new driver tests and interviews plus the medical lol does that make me as you say it bright enough hahahahaha
I was a train driver from 1974 til 2010, and I admit to playing train simluators. I occasionally have driven train simulators since. However, after a computer crash a couple of years ago I have attempted to recover the programme. At one time I believe you were able to recover your old programmes online, but sadly I have forgotten how to. However, I sill have my Steam account password, etc.
Such a dinosaur webpage is UKTrainsim., you'll be lucky to get registered to be able to download. Even then their servers will knock you off after a few hours. Dont waste yer time and purchase the newer version through steam
Great video but I must admit this route isn't the best. Alot of the assets are inaccurate and london euston looks nothing like it does in real life and new street is old and outdated (from the old version, it looks nothing like it does in real life). Also there was quite a lack of AI in this video which is no fault of you but I wish scenario creators would atleast put a realistic amount of AI in. New street was deserted with only a turbostar sitting and euston seemed quite quiet except for the sleeper
Outstanding!!! Now time to fill the gap between Brum New St to Preston. Brilliant video and brilliant audio Alan! Cheers mate
Josh Fowler And another gem of a line Crewe to Holyhead maybe one day!
Totally agree, hope this happens some day
What a route. The guy who did this should be very proud! Endless scenario prospects from overground, underground, fast line and slow stoppers. Not to forget freight!
I take this route weekly and this simulation is so accurate!

+Walter Raleigh it's lovely mate I highly recommend it
I live in Rugby it's absolutely amazing watching trains go at 100 mph
I agree. The 390 NEEDS some better sounds! I really hope armstrong powerhouse do an enhancement pack at some point!:) They also need to add track banking in this route!

Definitely needs to be a route around the midlands. Something around Nottingham and Sheffield or something would be nice to see
+Vince Machin I would love to see this too mate

+kangapants I haven't had this issue yet but I will keep an eye out mate cheers
You are quite similar to PTGRail, same kind of video. Subscribed!

Hi Alan, it's Brian. You've got to do this again when the APT is released !
Of course mate it will be first on the list
The limit through Coventry is 90? I expected it to be about 45, 60 at a push.
How can you go from Glasgow to London? We are missing Stafford to Preston
+Andy Lord ah yeah lol I always forget that bit hahahahah cheers

Some of the line speeds are wrong, its 125mph through Berkamstead, and except for Weedon curves its 125mph from Watford to Coventry

It costs £2.50 for one months unlimited download

Hi Alan, I'm a big fan, but I have a question, what DLC do you need for the signals?
+Trainspotter03 cheers mate I think it's Newcastle Edinburgh but not 100%
Alan Thomson where do you get your DLC from? Great vids
None of the track or platforms show when I've installed this. I followed the instructions for everything properly. Please help?
Any idea what dlc for the tunnel walls? :)
Woodhead Line I think.
How did you get that siemens thing where you put in numbers and stuff please
In real life, those sections where the speed limit goes down and then back up to 125, the Pendolino's don't have to slow down for. They go straight through at 125 mph.

Nice vid Alan👌🏽
+Pedro Neves cheers mate
What are the requirements for the route?
+Zonico take a look on Ukts as there are an awful lot
How do I get this route?
hmm, talking about upgrading the pendo's i may have a crack at it at somepoint
+English Electric Studios this should be top of your list lol
yup :P i'll get round it it at some point :)
You should be able to regen brake as the energy is just converted into heat by resistors. I’m pretty curtain it doesn’t return to the OLE :)
I'm pretty sure that's rheostatic, not regenerative.
L Clowes Yep, that's it :)
+Clifford Roe as Lewis says mate regenerative braking does return power to the OLE
Do a service from or to Lincoln Central
How do you install this?
+Reuben Lee the read me is included with the route mate
How do I install wcml south please can someone message me and help?
What do you think of the new livery I personally don't like it
+David's Trains I have gotten used to it I think
is there London overground services in this route
+Harry Fairburn yes the dc lines are covered keep an eye out for a video of it soon mate
the pendo sounds like the freeware tgv duplex
Such a dinosaur webpage is UKTrainsim., you'll be lucky to get registered to be able to download. Even then their servers will knock you off after a few hours. Dont waste yer time and purchase the newer version through steam
I saw it coming, i knew you were gunna get caught out by the AWS lol....... Good effort tho..
there turning the pendolinos white
The back of the train wasn't even in the platform
Where abouts mate
Alan Thomson At the only station you stopped at, Birmingham New street
Just re watched the end of the video mate I am well in the platform?

Where can I purchase train sim?
Very early! And im 2nd
First
And? What do you achieve from it?
Being the best at. Being -st
There is no achievement for being first. There is no point saying you are first, trust me, nobody cares.
I do & no 1 says I can't so
All you want is attention.
Are you assaulting my town tring
I have downloaded this already but it doesn't seem to appear onto train simulator 2018. Am I doing anything wrong.
