    Really like this! I tied one last night. In the link you have below for the flies, the recipe listed red wire. I used copper as you did here. My question is, what size wire? I used a small wire but it seemed very bulky. Thanks, Anthony

    NICE! Do you suppose he added the copper wire to also add weight to the fly?

      In his book he staded that the wire was added to make the fly sit depper in the surface film.

    Beautiful fly. Question for understanding.... Is the copper wire for weight or does it show?

      The wire is added tp provide a little extra weight to the fly so it sits just under the surface film.
