Charlie Hopkinson is a comedic impressionist, impersonator, voice guy, whatever you want to call it who specialises in voices from current television shows and films. His standup is a character act about a retired maths teacher, his standup set includes impressions of Sir David Attenborough, Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Peaky Blinders, Tommy and Arthur Shelby and Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.
Always looking to update my roster I look to try out subscriber suggested impressions in the impressions challenge series before honing the best ones. Recently I have added Peaky Blinders and Marvel / Avengers characters to my arsenal!

I started learning impressions in 2012, at the age of 20. You can follow my full impressions journey in my new ‘How to do impressions’ tutorial series
After graduating from the University of Warwick in the summer 2013 he took 4 months out to concentrate on RUclips videos full time, including producing his most viewed video to date ‘Morgan Freeman and 40 other impressions’ with just over 12 million views. This foray into being a ‘full time RUclipsr’ was cut short as he went travelling for 3 months before starting a 2 year teaching Graduate scheme with Charity ‘Teach First’.
While teaching he has performed in and narrated the 4 episode series ‘Lookalikes’ as Morgan Freeman. The show and the narration received a positive reception. The show aired on Channel 4 during the prime time slot of Friday 10pm for three weeks. It is now currently available on Netflix. Charlie also performed with other well known impressionists for an unaired pilot.
Charlie has worked for several prominent brands in relation to their products, including google and formula 1.
Since the summer of 2016 Charlie has once again dived into the world of RUclips, for the first time producing content on a weekly basis. He is also focusing on live performance; he has performed in live venues a total of 3 times to date.

i’m not a star wars fan i know nothing about it but the writing in this video is so funny. that’s an amazing exchange.
But the humor of that is mostly based on the fact that those are lines from another Star Wars movie. Im not sure I even see why that would be especially comedic otherwise. I'm not really a fan either but i have seen them years ago and I remember those lines.

I recently found this channel, and I am obsessed! Just genius comedic timing and I’m sure super underappreciated how hard it is to have a three-way conversation and be funny by yourself. One of the best channels on RUclips.

Your writing ability is incredible. I've seen good impersonations before, but what makes you incredible is the writing! Okay, and to be honest, I have never seen anyone with as good of impersonations as you.
The impressions are extremely good, but they aren't fully taken advantage of without good writing. And this is very impressive writing and acting. Especially since he is acting the part of real people having casual conversations, which is probably the hardest thing to write and act convincingly. But this is almost flawless. The fact that he's doing all three or more parts just makes it even more impressive.
The fact that these are legitimately almost full episode length clips brings me so much joy

That's one of the things that I liked the best about this, it's not only relatively subtle and well written and acted, very convincing, but he actually does a better job of world building than a lot of TV shows and films. It's not deep lore but it's there. The first inconsistency I have seen so far is Qui claiming to be vegan in this. That doesn't seem to add up with what I have seen so far. But I can think of several excuses for that.
The Anakin Limb set up, plus the Bacta Bath with chuck some of this in (Head and Shoulders) had me cramped. Nice One

@@HalfbreedTrini Qui-gon was probably the only Star Wars character that did not survive being stabbed by a lightsaber. The others who got injured the same way were all somehow cured or resurrected.
This is incredibly funny. At first, I was a bit bored wondering what I was getting myself into. Then the jokes kept getting better and better. This was clearly made with a love of Star Wars and a deep understanding of the little things.
100% I agree with that. The amount of work that went into the dialogue, the jokes, etc is done by someone that clearly understands and likes Star Wars. Not done with malice or meant to be insulting.. I as someone who grew up loving Star Wars can certainly appreciate the humor because it is so much funnier if you understand the context.. Can't get enough of it!
