    I just love dirt roads to small towns. Especially the ones where i can just leave my Skidoo with the keys in it parked in a ditch all winter.

      I hope those small towns in Labrador never change! Cheers.

    Awesome videos, I live in Happy Valley and cross that sketchy bridge quite often on motorcycle. It seems when assembled, the grates were put in sideways…’the worst bridge to cross…anywhere’ as stated by many tourists.
    Ride safe.

      Thanks so much! Yeah, that bridge is definitely built differently than the other ones on the Trans Lab. Cheers!

    That ride out of Pinsent's Arm was unreal. And I know the cameras can barely grasp how amazing it must have been to see it from the bikes. That's wild about sleds. I'm over here every year talking myself out getting one knowing all you need to do is go there and pick them like blueberries, lol. Good sled crop over there though.

      We were so confused about the snowmobiles. 😂 That machine we stopped to look at was legitimately in better shape than the sled we had growing up! I guess when you’re hundreds of kms from anywhere there’s little to no chance of them being stolen. I hope that never changes. Cheers!

    Wow, you guys really covered a ton of ground, and got to see some mighty impressive sceneries. Those coastal villages are wicked cool, great footage and pics. Your editing skills are on point! Nice work, super fun to watch. Cheers!

      We don’t mess around!😂 This year’s trip is more off-road so we’re trying to keep the daily distance around 300kms instead of 400-600. We’ll see how that works out. As always, I have a laundry list of stuff to check out. Cheers!

    I can't believe you guys stayed on Wood Island. I was super interested from the satellite images but in person it was lack luster. Didn't seem like the greatest spot to pitch a tent except right at the rest stop. We ended up camping at Pinware Provincial Park aka the Black Fly capital of Canada. Even on the beach unsheltered by the wind the black flies were absolutely terrible. Probably should have stayed at Wood Island!

    • @506motoadv
      @506motoadv  8 месяцев назад +2

      We definitely didn’t plan on camping on Wood Island. It just happened to be where we got to before dusk. We just set up behind the wood pile so we couldn’t be seen from the road. I woke up to the sound of a bicycle rolling by my tent at like 5am. It was the guy whose cabin is on the island. No idea where he was going in the middle of nowhere but he rode by again when we were loading up the bikes and just said “hey” as he went by. Didn’t seem to care that we were there.
      Oh, and the bugs were just as bad at Wood Island. It was actually the only time on this whole trip that I had to wear my head net. Cheers!

      @@506motoadv There's at least 3 cabins on the island but I think the other 2 are only accessible by boat. They are on the other side of the highway. I couldn't find any trails to get over there.

    great trip coverage...those older KLR, I hear you fill the oil and check the gas...🤔🤔

      @506motoadv  8 месяцев назад +1

      It can definitely feel like that sometimes. We had days where it burned over a litre and days where it didn’t burn a drop while covering roughly the same mileage. Really depends on how you’re riding it. Cheers!

    Got a buddy named Darnell that lives in Port Hope Simpson, Worked in Vousey Bay with him. Great looking ride. I was Back home last yr and heard they have quite a drug problem now in NS

    • @506motoadv
      @506motoadv  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yeah, unfortunately the drug problem has made it to most places. Much like the homeless problem. This trip was very refreshing as it was like going back to a simpler time where none of that stuff existed. Cheers!

      Thanks so much! After talking to some locals about the ditch snowmobiles we were told:
      “Those are working machines. The boys just leave them at the head of their wood lot in the spring and go dig them out of the snow in the fall and start hauling wood.”
      A little starting fluid into the carbs and she probably would have fired right up! Cheers

    You are not wrong, the Goose Bay bridge is terrible. I don't know what they were doing when they put it together. I live in Goose Bay and I once took my bike across looking to go for an afternoon ride but once across I turned around and came back home haha. Its no better in a truck/car sadly. Great footage of the drive down the southcoast highway!

    • @506motoadv
      @506motoadv  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks so much! Yeah, the Goose Bay bridge had me wobbling all over the place. The south coast was amazing and I wish I had spent another day in the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area. Cheers!
