- This is the full Dual Catchmon Review. Now I have tried out a bunch of devices for Pokemon Go and talked about them in great length. Devices like the Pokemon GO Plus, Pokeball Plus, Gotcha (Go-tcha), and my personal favorite, the Gotcha Ranger (Go-tcha Ranger). The Dual Catchmon is something a little different. This is designed for Pokemon GO players with multiple accounts AND phones. It can connect to two phones at once and manage two accounts with auto catch and auto spin functions. Now, this comes on the heels of the Go-tcha Evolve (Gotcha Evolve) for Pokemon GO, but we'll talk about that in its own review.

Pro tip: buy rechargeable AAA batteries. In fact, I would suggest buying all kinds of rechargeable batteries for anything in general. I have ~8-10 of AAA and AA batteries each, I use them for flashlights and other household items all the time. If you use rechargeable batteries, the standby mode becomes soooooo OP, but yeah I agree there should be a charging port in the event we would like to recharge the batteries without switching rechargeable batteries every ~20 days.

No On/Off switch? I'm looking on the back of mine, and next to the battery compartment is the On/Off switch.
Yes, they changed future versions of the product to include an on/off switch. Trust me when I say that the unit I have did not include one and it was considered a feature

They sent me a white unit and it does not have an on/off switch. It being Always-On is a feature that they advertise.
Now I do see there is a black one out there that has an on off switch, but they don’t advertise that on their website and it’s not the unit I was given for review.

The daily gotcha connection issues sound intimidating, so I'm getting a black dual catchmon and crossing my fingers for the switch option.

@@tammywallace7951 I have been using a black dual catchmon with the switch on the back every day since I bought it. I have not really had any problems with it, and it has made my quarentine life much more enjoyable (I have stops it can spin from my home, so I have the best case scenario). I love that it gives me an excuse to go excercise, because every time I go for a long run or a bike I am rewarded with hundreds of pokemon it caught while I was out. The only money I've spend on pokemon go was gofest 2020 and this, it has been 100% worth the money for me.
Man they really should have sent over the one with the on/off switch! 🤣

Is it working on the Dual app? I am playing pokemongo on the Mi9 dual app and using pokeplus but connect in just 1 app. (2 Acc in 1 Device)

Apparently the catchmon is very slow compared to gotcha. That is the biggest drawback for me in getting one.
Yeah randomizing the time it takes to start a capture probably wasn't a great idea

Yes they could, but they don’t have an app either. I was trying to kill 2 birds with one port
I have the dual catchmon and battery is so much better. I have so many things to charge already its so much better to just go grab some batteries real quick and have full charged device.

if its connected to 2 phones does the second phone have to be present for it to still catch pokemon for that acc

I play on a phone with an app from the play store and another from the Galaxy store. Will I be able to use this device with two accounts on the same Samsung phone?

Were you able to find this out? I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and I play on 2 accounts at the same time with split screen so this would be great if I could use it on both accounts at the same time. Right now I only use it on my main account while I manually catch on my second account.
I wasn’t able to try this but if you have the device why not try? It should have 2 separate Bluetooth beacons so your phone would be able to connect to both I assume.

Can you use this for split screen/2 accounts on one phone?
I do not have a device that allows me to test that.
If I split screen on the same phone, will it still work? (Playing 2 different accounts on 1 phone; I can do this on my S10 Plus). I wanna buy this as a gift for a friend
I don’t have a galaxy phone to test that out unfortunately. Sounds like it might work if you do split screen with the play store and galaxy store versions. Again though, I can’t test it out so it’s just a guess

How fast is the auto spin and catch; is it same, faster, slower?
Keng Aroo it is random. They felt it would trigger the game if it was the same every time so sometime it’s long and sometimes it’s quick.

Do you have 2 devices and accounts to play at the same time? Does yours have the now added on/off switch? If yes to both of those then it’s not a bad option, but only because those batteries aren’t being wasted

I mean you have to have pogo running to use a gotcha or plus device. If you’re asking if you can catch Pokémon yourself, you would either have to beat the gotcha to it or disable the setting. PvP, raids, and gym battles can still be done with the device connected
for me, after owning two gothcas because first one randomly decided that "nah im not gonna work at all or see that useless magnetic strip charger" only for it to work fine first with the new charger from the replacement and then later both working fine on the old "broken" charger too.
reason why i'm going with dial catchamon 2022 instead, even thou i do not have two accounts is that awful 2-6h battery life on the thing with vibrator turned off.
it would randomly work fine for 6+h and then on other times only barely survive those current 3h cd events.
so i much rather get a 24 pack of aaa batteries, then get 8 months of standby/playtime from that, instead of fiddling around with that horrible magnetic charger thing.
if it was similar Qi wireless charger like most phones or many earbud cases are, then it coud just reliably charge through that.
but no! now i have to fiddle around with it for few minutes, and then only if i don't even look at it will it stay charging.
it literally feels like if loud sneeze from my upstairs neighbor could knock it off from that loose thing altogether.
Use rechargeable batteries
Dude it’s 2020. It should have a rechargeable battery built in. The competition has it and I feel like this is one of the ways the product can improve

Nothing really works while driving anymore unless you’re crawling. That’s built into the game code. Not something devices can change

There is on newer versions. Not the one they sent me.
Do you have to reconnect it every hour like other devices?
Yes. That’s coded into the game. Not a choice by the device designers

The problem is you would have to modify the Pokémon go app since it requires you to press the on-screen button to connect.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean. $80 is the price of the product. Not all Pokémon go plus devices are $80. They range from $30-$60. This one can connect to two phones at the same time so they decided they will charge twice as much.
I would buy it if it had a led that showed batterylife and chargeable..
Pokémon go helps with low battery now. The disposable batteries are still a problem though

Great video bro and this is why i love big boned people, me included :) Because we always lazy and want to get some things done with shortcuts so a device like this a nice but im still happy with my evolve.

Yeah but that wasn’t the point. I think I even suggested at one point that they should just add a port so I could charge those batteries inside the device. Also keep in mind that my model does not have an off switch so it’s just running.
