In Europe coaches like Itoudis emphasize that your team must not react with a certain way in most PnR situations but have multiple coverages depending on opponents personnel...I also think that that's the way to go and not trying to implement something that's clearly not suited to your team's players and their individual defensive characteristics/skills (etc.Blazers )! P.S Great content !

For me, the defense is successful when the offense does not do what they used to doing.

This video makes me appreciate Draymond Green so much damn, he really has a high game IQ in terms of reading the offence and adjusting accordingly

FINALLY SOMEONE EXPLAINED WHAT HEDGING MEANS. I have been playing NBA 2k23 and have been trying to figure out how it works.

The hedge has been countered by multiple drag sets where a screen is either never set and you get a dive in a pop or the first “would be” screener dives while the 2nd engages in a pick and roll concept.

Came here after that podcast aired. Great breakdown! The blazers imo are a big disappointment this season. Hopefully they can turn some things around because I love Dame and that organization is solid.

You ever consider using a pointer or highlight to point out what you're saying? To an intermediate level fan I get so lost. More examples isn't better than quality examples. The screen cuts to a different game before I can even process what I'm seeing with this new knowledge you're giving me. I'm replaying over and over, my inexperienced eyes aren't as good as yours.

You have to try different things and of course it depends on the roster u have.
    Switching to everything is stupid.
Look at how the rockets switched everything against the warriors in the 2018 playoffs, it was a mistake, curry always was getting the switch with bad defensive players.
Now look at how the raptors did it in the 2019 finals, much better.
You have to try different things, its also important to surprise your opponent.

Nothing wrong with testing out and trying different things. As I was showing and talking about in the breakdown, problems start when you aren’t good at it or your roster isn’t build for it - change is needed for your core defense.

It didn't work he doesn't have the helpside defender of Rasheed s calibre.
