Based off of power levels and spawn chance tables, Artifice's main difficulty is supposed to come from the outside enemies and bringing stuff back to the ship instead of inside the facility. Think of it almost like the opposite of Titan, where securing loot is easy but the interior is brutal.
artifice indoor is pretty diverse with almost every mob spawning at 8-7%. Maybe it would be hard for players with little experience to adapt to different combinations of enemies every round but I'm not sure. Maybe it's just this way because the outdoors is dominated by all robots and will usually play out much the same

Huh. They seem remarkably easy to lose. Feel like that's worse on mansion.
Kinda makes dine a bit better, though I feel like losing that many of them isn't viable. I quite like dine now, Played a Duo with it today and was really nice minus one day of dine turret hell. Really quite easy to get to fire and can transistion between fire and main really easy, Zeekers kinda cooked with the exterior. Butler spawns are still kinda ridiculous on it though theres so many and they like to run into you then aggo fsr, and turrets seem to be like one day where there were like constant turrets with like 2 guarding each entrance and then another day where we didn't see one but pulled out over 2/3 of the loot.
I think it's a punishment for killing a passive enemy and even solo if you make distance when he puts his broom away he will de aggro

Hornets can open doors for some reason and they really shouldn’t be able to, it takes very athletic coilheads 9 seconds to open doors while hornets do it in a second.

They are masked hornets, so they more likely use employee body as hive.
