At first I was like ... this is the guy who is going to show me to ollie until I saw he was on 3 boards
Same😁
The movement sound effects really helped me.
whooo shaa... whoo haaaaaa...
Me too
Just in case anyone was interested, this method also worked for my penny board.
today i ollied a 46 pintail after SO MANY TRIES :D

@@mre1562 time flies!
ur right, my comment was from a month ago, in that time my attitude has completely changed and I have grown so much. Your youtube comment really makes a difference in my life, thank you :)
Dude. You are amazing. Thank you so much for making this video and advancing the sport.
THANKS I LEARNED HOW TO OLLIE UP CURBS
Curbs are the worst!
How do you do that backwards motion when you’re skating forwards?
Rebecca Speas I think he means slide your foot backwards
OMG I needed this thank you so much, learning to ollie with a, not necessarily longboard, but a larger board.
This gonna at least give me better foot placement
Yo big thanks! Once i get comfy with my board, ill def try this.
dented board here i come! LOL
11yrs old and this is the only video I've seen showing how to ollie a deck with no kick. Can't wait to get out and try it.
So happy I found this video.
I have a drop down with a short tail, and for as long as I've had it, I've been trying to ollie it like my skateboard.
Drop deck? Or Drop Thru?
Drop through is a bit easier to ollie since the kicktails are closer to the ground. the landing part is what can be tricky though, avoiding stepping onto the wheels can take some practice.
Drop deck might be bit harder to ollie, especially since when you kick the front drop, the board tends to lunge away from you. Mirco drop will be a lot easier though!
Everyone thank you so much for responding i bought the bones reds bearings and i love my longboard now, i think im going to invest for a new deck :)
Probably the best video out there, explaining why in the frekk I couldn’t get the ollie down on my longboards 🤣
Epic vid!!! I just am a little confused on the rolling your foot backwards? How do you do that!??
Thanks for taking the time to reply. If you have any recommendations on wheels or examples of what I'll need for what I'm doing like before that would be awesome! Skate Safe
Thank you! I'm going to teach myself this weekend in the parking garage. This is a really great tutorial.
Hy. How is going? Have you got Ollie?
@@giuseppestivala4538 Proved to be super difficult. Not gonna lie, I have to keep practicing. Got discouraged :(
@@laurat0815 Hello Laura. Keep on practice and you will get it. Constant practice it's the key. See you.
@@giuseppestivala4538 Thanks so much!! 🙃
@@laurat0815 Did you do it yet
i can't do this.. because i'm too weak my longboard is soo heavy.. :(
Your front foot probably is too far back on the board, making it too hard to lift the board up popping the tail.
Yeah I fell like my 85 whels are too big
this is the video that I have been looking for some time, thanks a lot really helpful technique 👊😎
OMG i must learn this, i need a way to jump onto curbs. I tried to early grab but my knuckles got messed up so no more early grabs onto curbs lol
im a skater and im asking myself what im doing here, along with all the other skaters who didnt come here to fight. i actually really like longboarding
dane snowboards too!? this just made my day
Mad skills. This Dane guy gets respect, from me.
@loadedambassadors, awesome dude, does this trick scratch up your board?
Bring back those Vans shoes, one of my all time favorites.
Is this filmed up in New England, like Mass or NH? Looks super familiar... btw nice ollies on the longboard, way impressive!!!
Yeah i already bought my the reds from bones i love them :)
I forgot the forward motion and only did down backwards fierce kick and accidentally tatsumaki senpukyaku, my garage is a mess now, thx loaded!
Just did one on my Fattail. My back wheels did hit the curb though, but I made it up!! :)
@smithtom888 I actually do these on a switchblade... I get like a inch of air but it still counts!
@zsp33dyG Wolfsark actually has a decent tail if you adjust the wheels bases
They're evolving!!! No but seriously, skaters use to bash on longboards not being able to ollie, this is a step in the right direction, hopefully longboard ollies will be able to clear curbs with more clearance, the amount of space under your board every time you ollie up a curb is sketchy as hell, if i tried, my back truck would probably catch on the curb and I would face plant.
If you're worried about it and don't want to early grab (which is also admittedly sketchy) you could maybe go with doing a boneless instead.
just saw you on another vid man lol
The "Loaded Fat Tail" is the one at 1:56, the other, "Loaded Tan Tien" is the one at 2:30. If you're gonna try downhill or freeriding I suggest a Landyatchz board, if you want to carve and do some freestyle, I'll tell you for a Loaded. A really polivalent board is the Apex 40 from Original Skateboards
Dane, very good manners
Epic! What font is that at the start? Nice cam and mic! Almost love the videography side as much as longboarding itself. Almost.
what kind of longboard are you riding, sorry im kind of new at this just wanted to know what longboard is good to get
@morgulbrut That sir is the wisest words i have ever heard
So I'm a novice rider, but from what I'm gathering "fat tail boards" like the 2 you had are good for tricks, and fatter lower to the ground boards are more for downhill? and what are more recommended wheels for each? any help is mucho apreciado!
The next thing you know, longboard grinding all over the place XD
You're late
Could you please answer me a question?
Can the longboard get damaged by doing this, because the board itself looks like it's bending a lot.
And also very awesome tutorial and a big plus for wearing a helmet! :)
*10 years later….*
Naw they do that. It’ll be fine, especially if its bamboo.
Idk i have standard wheels i got from the longboard they're 75mm but i already bought red bones and i'm gonna get some lubricant today and i'm gonna clean them
I want to buy a longboard for the first time? Which brand do you guys recommend?
Hey can you please tell me what wheels are on your Tan Tien and if you get any wheelbite or not?
It's possible; I have an Apex 37 as well :) I've managed to flick it up enough it's just the sliding the board back motion which is tricky.
Everyone has a different preference to what type of riding they like the most. Whether it be a bike, a skateboard, a longboard, or even skates. The way I see it we all have something in common, we're all doing something we love to do no matter what anyone tells us. So just because we may not ride the same type of equipment, doesn't mean one is better than the other. Respect all types of skaters, and enjoy the fact you can even ride. Quit hating on everyone else, and realize we're all bros.
Would this be possible on a 41 inch board that's a little on the heavier side? It looks like it would be really difficult on a board that's much longer than those are.
Wonder how much easier that flex in the board makes it. I got a sector9 minishaka with next to none
Please tell me what trucks do you use in this video?
I learn longboard ollie about 1 week
Thank You so much
@iAmJemR but when it comes to going up curbs it's easiest to ollie. do it all the time on my 925
Thanks Dane!
thanks :D do you know where i can buy this longboard?
what type of riding are you intrested in
Maybe it's because your wheels might have flatspots. Have you been sliding a lot lately? What wheels do you have? Paul
Woah. Thank you dane. Very very thank you.
To answer your question. The bearings probably aren't that good. I recommend Bones Super Reds or Abec 11 bearings. If you don't want to spend so much, get Bones Reds or Abec 8 or 9 bearings. Hope this helps.
I understand what you have to do with the front foot, and I get what he means by pushing down with the back foot.I just don't understand what he means by pushing "back" with the back foot???? How do you push back as you're moving forward? If someone could help me understand what you're supposed to do with the back exactly foot I would really appreciate it.
thanks ive bought that one im concydering to buy a droptrough deck with some fexibility recommend something under 150€/$
what is the ultimate longboard if you want to do ollies?
thanks man im glad were on the same page
my apex 40 has kick tails that can pop so would i do a ollie the same way a a normal skateboard?
can someone tell me if i can ollie if my board has super coarse grip tape?? is candy grip tape that is like 20 grit... i also have one with a mob super corse... which one would be better for ollies??
Is it possible to ollie with an element velocity adder?
Am i able to do this on a stiff flex dk peng or a switchblade? I think theyre too heavy
I just changed my twitter bio to the last line of your comment. It made me smile :D
Can someone tell me around how long will it take to Ollie like him?
that probably the best for freestyle, and freeride, and downhill
@BoardwalkBob What board do you have??
I'm looking for a downhill/trick longboard, I'm looking at the Apex 40 Diamond Drop atm but I actually have no idea , help?
It is possible to ollie on any board as long as it has some sort of a tail. Pintails included. Longboards are just more difficult because of the weight and size. It really doesnt have much to do with the tail size or shape, as proven by Dane in this video.
the fattail looks sick!
@SonicBoardCo its possible on a pintail, just dont overdo it since longboard ollies are really low unlike the skateboard ollie
i have trouble getting an ollie o a normal skate, i dnt know if ill be able to pull this off
Would love to see someone do this on a dervish in slomo
which vans are those at the start of the video ?
what is the name of the board you were using
is this in downtown annapolis?
Is this in Chico, CA?
Would this be possible on a Churchill Jasmine?
What board are you using?
@smithtom888 sammmeee here... sucks to be us.. aside from the fact that its a completely amazing downhill board!
Thanks man, but i already bought the bones reds 3 moths ago , i love them, i'm now gonna save up for a new dropthough board with flex 2 :)
how are you supposed to roll back when in motion?
That was beautiful.
@MW2mastr 9two5, gas pedals really help and it's generally more comfortable than an avenger, (but a nemesis is better :P)
How would you do an ollie on longboard drop thru?
OMG THATS FUCKING SALEM MASS I SK8 BY THERE ALL THE TIME!!!
would this work on a fishtail?
is it safe to try this on my 9two5?
I skate street, I love bowl and I froth on bombing hills fast with a longboard. I have traveled the world over the past 6 years, skating all sorts of terrain on all sorts of boards, surfaces and with all sorts of rad skaters )some of whom have been skating since before you or I were born). If you all put more time into going outside and shredding wheels with rad people anywhere and anytime you want, you would probably be a lot less grumpy and much better skaters too. Skate everything or die.
hahaha at the end "can we film some more skating now please?"
Where was this filmed?
Hahah in the beginning I thought he couldn't even stand on a longboard...
The flex I'd strong with this one
whats the name of your longboard? because i wanna buy a Trick longboard !!
i didnt start loving my globe board until i put better bearings in. try reds.
u might want to invest in some better barrings like raw reds. wheels can help two like monster hawgs or zombie hawgs, just make sure u get the right barrings for ur wheels and that the wheels fit ur needs.
Check if the wheels are too tight or check the beariings (those things in your wheels.)
It`s posible with a bangra`s Loader?
I can do it with my tan tine a bit, not perfect but when I try it with my Tesseract I screw so bad
